AIM:To identify molecular biologic differences between two gastric adenocarcinoma subgroups presenting different prognoses through the analysis of microRNA and protein ***:Array technologies were used to generate1146 microRNAs and 124 proteins expression profiles of samples from 60 patients with gastric *** the integrative analysis,we used established mRNA expression data published in our previous *** mRNA expression levels were acquired from microarray data for 60 identical gastric cancer *** gastric adenocarcinoma subgroups with distinct mRNA expression profiles presented distinctly different *** and protein expression patterns were compared between gastric cancer tissue and normal gastric tissue and between two different prognostic *** expressed microRNA,associated mRNA,and protein in patients with poor-prognosis gastric cancer were validated by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction and immunochemistry in independent ***:We obtained the expression data of 1146microRNAs and 124 cancer-related *** microRNAs were aberrantly expressed in the two prognostic groups and in cancer vs non-cancer tissues(P<0.05).In the poor-prognosis group,miR-196b,miR-135b,and miR-93 were up-regulated and miR-29c*was ***-196b expression positively correlated with Homeobox A10(HOXA10)expression(r=0.726,P<0.001),which was significantly increased in poor-prognosis patients(P<0.001).Comparing gastric cancer with non-cancer tissues,46/124 proteins showed differential expression(P<0.05);COX2(P<0.001)and cyclin B1(P=0.017)were clearly overexpressed in the poor-prognosis ***:Co-activation of miR-196b and HOXA10characterized a poor-prognosis subgroup of patients with gastric *** of the biologic function of miR-196b and HOXA10 is warranted.

Adaptive sampling is an iterative process for the construction of a global approximation model. Most of engineering analysis tools computes multiple parameters in a single run. This research proposes a novel multi-response adaptive sampling algorithm for simultaneous construction of multiple surrogate models in a time-efficient and accurate manner. The new algorithm uses the Jackknife cross-validation variance and a minimum distance metric to construct a sampling criterion function. A weighted sum of the function is used to consider the characteristics of multiple surrogate models. The proposed algorithm demonstrates good performance on total 22 numerical problems in comparison with three existing adaptive sampling algorithms. The numerical problems include several two-dimensional and six-dimensional functions which are combined into singleresponse and multi-response systems. Application of the proposed algorithm for construction of aerodynamic tables for 2 D airfoil is demonstrated. Scaling-based variable-fidelity modeling is implemented to enhance the accuracy of surrogate modeling. The algorithm succeeds in constructing a system of three highly nonlinear aerodynamic response surfaces within a reasonable amount of time while preserving high accuracy of approximation.

To identify early predictive markers of poor outcomes in patients with acute liver injury from wild mushroom *** observational, retrospective record review involved adults aged ≥ 18 years admitted to emergency department with mushroom intoxication from January 2005 to December 2015. The diagnosis of mushroom intoxication was based on the following: (1) a positive history of recent wild mushroom intake (either raw or cooked); (2) the onset of gastrointestinal symptoms, such as watery diarrhea, vomiting, and/or abdominal pain, after ingestion; and (3) the exclusion of other possible causes of acute liver injury. Acute liver injury was defined by a > 5-fold elevation of liver enzymes or moderate coagulopathy [international normalized ratio (INR) > 2.0]. Clinical and laboratory findings were compared in survivors and *** 93 patients with mushroom intoxication, 23, 11 men (47.8%) and 12 women (52.2%), of median age 61 years, developed acute liver injury. The overall in-hospital mortality rate was 43.5% (10/23). In order to investigate the morphology change of Ag nano-particles/island film with the sputtering time and annealing temperature,Ag nano-particles/island films were sputtered on the silicon wafers by radio-frequency(RF)magnetron *** nano-particles/islands films were sputtered on Si wafer with different *** sputtering,the samples with Ag nano-particles/islands films were annealed at 100,200 and 400 o C for 1 h,*** spectrum was employed to examine the phase stability of Ag particles/island film after annealed at 400 o C for *** result showed that the Raman spectrum peak of Ag particles/island film with annealed at 400 o C was similar to that of pure *** electron microscope(SEM)was used to test the microstructures and morphology of the films with different *** further study the morphology change,atomic force microscope(AFM)was used to test surface morphology of the Ag particles/islands *** SEM and AFM results showed that the morphology of Ag nano-particles/island films were different with the increasing sputtering *** particles went through a dramatic change on the Si wafer surface,when sputtering time changed from 3 to 60 s,Ag particles diffused and agglomerated with the annealing temperature increasing.

Developing bifunctional catalysts that can catalyze both oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is pivotal to commercializing large-scale water ***,a novel hollow nanotriangle composed of NiFe LDH-CoMoS_(x) heterojunction(H-CMSx@NiFe LDH)is proposed as a highly efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst for both OER and *** fabricate a heterojunction system,ultra-thin nickel–iron layered double hydroxide(NiFe LDH)nanosheets are uniformly electrodeposited onto a metal–organic framework-derived hollow CoMoS_(x) *** strong coupling of CoMoS_(x) and NiFe LDH catalysts forms the intimate heterojunction interfaces to facilitate interfacial charge transfer,which is favorable to enhance the bifunctional catalytic ***,the large void of CoMoS_(x) nanotriangles and interconnected ultra-thin NiFe LDH nanosheets result in good electrolyte penetration and gas ***,the as-prepared H-CMSx@NiFe LDH on nickel foam(NF)exhibits an impressive catalytic activity and durability for OER and HER activities,delivering a current density of 100 mA·cm^(−2) at the small overpotentials of 214 and 299 mV in OER and HER,***,H-CMSx@NiFe LDH/NF proves to be an effective electrode for an alkaline electrolyzer,as a voltage of only 1.99 V is enough to achieve a current density voltage of only 1.99 V is enough to achieve a current density of 400 mA·cm^(−2) with no degradation in performance over 50 h.
