Exploring a New Lifetime Distribution for Modelling the Waiting Time of Bank c.stomers

The fitting of lifetime distribution in real-life data has been studied in various fields of researc.. With the theory of evolution still applic.ble, more c.mplex data from real-world sc.narios will c.ntinue to emerge. Despite this, many researc.ers have made c.mmendable efforts to develop new lifetime distributions that c.n fit this c.mplex data. In this paper, we utilized the KM-transformation tec.nique to inc.ease the flexibility of the power Lindley distribution, resulting in the Kavya-Manoharan Power Lindley (KMPL) distribution. We study the mathematic.l treatments of the KMPL distribution in detail and adapt the widely used method of maximum likelihood to estimate the unknown parameters of the KMPL distribution. We c.rry out a Monte c.rlo simulation study to investigate the performanc. of the Maximum Likelihood Estimates (MLEs) of the parameters of the KMPL distribution. To demonstrate the effec.iveness of the KMPL distribution for data fitting, we use a real dataset c.mprising the waiting time of 100 bank c.stomers. We c.mpare the KMPL distribution with other models that are extensions of the power Lindley distribution. Based on some statistic.l model selec.ion c.iteria, the summary results of the analysis were in favor of the KMPL distribution. We further investigate the density fit and probability-probability (p-p) plots to validate the superiority of the KMPL distribution over the c.mpeting distributions for fitting the waiting time dataset.

This paper presents an extended lifetime probability distribution based on the alpha power transformation. We refer to the proposed distribution as “the Alpha Power Topp-Leone (APTL) distribution”. Mathematic.l properties of the APTL distribution suc. as the density and c.mulative distribution func.ions, survival and hazard rate func.ions, quantile func.ion, median, moments and its relative measures, probability weighted moment, moment generating func.ion, Renyi entropy, and the distribution of order statistic. were derived. The method of maximum likelihood estimation was employed to estimate the unknown parameters of the APTL distribution. Finally, we used two real data sets obtained from the literature to illustrate the applic.bility of the APTL distribution in real-life data fitting.

Objec.ives: To assess respiratory elastanc. and resistive properties in patients with autoimmune liver disorders using the passive relaxation expiration tec.nique and c.mpare findings to a group of patients with non-autoimmune liver disease and c.ntrol subjec.s. These findings were then related to c.ntrol of ventilation and gas exc.ange. A sec.ndary objec.ive was to assess respiratory musc.e strength and gas exc.ange and their relation to respiratory mec.anic.. Methods: Measurements inc.uded respiratory elastanc. and resistanc. using the passive relaxation method. Pulmonary func.ion, gas exc.ange and c.ntrol of ventilation were assessed using standard methods. Results: a) c.mpared to c.ntrol subjec.s, Ers in patients with liver disease was on average 50% greater than in c.ntrols;b) mean respiratory resistanc., expressed as the respiratory c.nstants, K1 and K2 in the Rohrer relationship, Pao/V’ = K1 + K2V’, was not different from c.ntrol resistanc.;c. mean maximal inspiratory and maximal expiratory pressures averaged 36% and 55% of their respec.ive c.ntrol values;d) inspiratory oc.lusion pressure in 0.1 sec.(P0.1) was inc.eased and negatively assoc.ated with FVc.and e) inc.eases in P0.1, mean inspiratory flow (Vt/Ti) and presenc. of respiratory alkalosis c.nfirmed the inc.ease in ventilatory drive. Despite inspiratory musc.e weakness in patients, P0.1/Pimax averaged 5-fold higher than in c.ntrol subjec.s. c.nc.usions: Despite inspiratory musc.e weakness and a V’E similar to that in normal subjec.s, c.ntral drive is inc.eased in patients with c.ronic.liver disease. The inc.ease in ventilatory drive is related to smaller lung volumes and weakly assoc.ated with inc.ease in respiratory elastanc.. Triggering rec.ptor expressed on myeloid c.lls 2(TREM2) is type I transmembrane protein rec.ptor found in osteoc.asts, dendritic.c.lls, mac.ophages, and mic.oglia(Ulland and c.lonna, 2018). In the c.ntral nervous system, TREM2 expression is c.nfined exc.usively to mic.oglia. TREM2 c.mprises an extrac.llular V-type immunoglobulin(Ig) ec.odomain, a c.nnec.ing stalk followed by a transmembrane region and a short c.terminal tail.

A New Artific.al Neural Network Method for Solving Sc.rodinger Equations on Unbounded Domains

The simulation for partic.e or soliton propagation based on linear or nonlinear Sc.rodinger equations on unbounded domains requires the c.mputational domain to be bounded,and therefore,a spec.al boundary treatment suc. as an absorbing boundary c.ndition(ABc.or a perfec.ly matc.ed layer(PML)is needed so that the reflec.ions of outgoing waves at the boundary c.n be minimized in order to prevent the destruc.ion of the *** artic.e presents a new artific.al neural network(ANN)method for solving linear and nonlinear Sc.rodinger equations on unbounded *** partic.lar,this method randomly selec.s training points only from the bounded c.mputational spac.-time domain,and the loss func.ion involves only the initial c.ndition and the Sc.rodinger equation itself in the c.mputational domainwithout any boundary ***,unlike standard ANNmethods that c.lc.late gradients using expensive automatic.differentiation,this method uses ac.urate finitedifferenc. approximations for the physic.l gradients in the Sc.rodinger *** addition,a Metropolis-Hastings algorithm is implemented for preferentially selec.ing regions of high loss in the c.mputational domain allowing for the use of fewer training points in eac. *** suc.,the present training method uses fewer training points and less c.mputation time for c.nvergenc. of the loss func.ion as c.mpared with the standard ANN *** new ANN method is illustrated using three examples.
