Microstructure and texture evolution of Cu–Cr–Co–Ti alloys during the two-stage cryorolling

This study entailed an investigation of the mechanical properties, microstructural and texture orientation evolutions of CuDCrDCoDTi alloys prepared via twostage cryorolling and intermediate aging treatment. To this end, X-ray diffraction and electron backscatter diffraction were employed. The results indicate that the two-stage cryorolling and intermediate aging treatments led to the development of profuse twin bundles and significantly enhanced the mechanical properties. The initial cryorolling led to coplanar slip and developed a strong Y({111} ) orientation, accelerating the formation of Goss({011} ) orientation and a Brass-type *** intermediate aging treatment relieved the restriction on dislocation slip and reoriented the grains toward the Copper({112} ) and z.{111} ) *** z.orientation, with a relatively high volume fraction,dominated the macrotexture. Secondary cryorolling intensified twinning and shear banding, transforming the Copper-type shear bands into Brass-type shear bands with rhomboidal prism morphology. The areas inside the Brasstype shear bands exhibited a Y orientation, and the areas outside the shear bands exhibited a stable Brass-type texture. The evident decrease in the weighted Schmid factors demonstrated that the two-stage cryorolling and intermediate aging treatment can modify the texture evolution and aid the design of high-performance Cu alloys.

The semi-hydrogenation of alkyne to form z.olefins with high conversion and high selectivity is still a huge challenge in the chemical ***,flammable and explosive hydrogen as the common hydrogen source of this reaction increases the cost and danger of industrial ***,we connect the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction and the semihydrogenation reaction of alkynes in series and successfully realiz. the high selective production of z.alkenes using low-cost,safe,and green water as the proton *** the cascade reaction,a series of isomorphic metal–organic cage catalysts(Co_(x)z._(8−x)L_(6),x=0,3,4,5,and 8)are designed and synthesiz.d to improve the yield of the photocatalytic hydrogen *** them,Co_(5)z._(3)L_(6) shows the highest photocatalytic activity,with a H_(2) generation rate of 8.81 mmol g^(−1) h^(−1).Then,Co_(5)z._(3)L_(6) is further applied in the above tandem reaction to efficiently reduce alkynes to z.alkenes under ambient conditions,which can reach high conversion of>98%and high selectivity of>99%,and maintain original catalytic activity after multiple ***“one-pot”tandem reaction can achieve a highly selective and safe stepwise conversion from water into hydrogen into z.olefins under mild reaction conditions.

Vapor catalysis was recently found to play a crucial role in superclean graphene growth via chemical vapor decomposition(CVD).However,knowledge of vapor-phase catalysis is scarce,and several fundamental issues,including vapor compositions and their impact on graphene growth,are ***,by combining density functional theory(DFT)calculations,an ideal gas model,and a designed experiment,we found that the vapor was mainly composed of Cui clusters with tens of *** vapor pressure was estimated to be~10^(-12)-10^(-1)1 bar under normal low-pressure CVD system(LPCVD)conditions for graphene growth,and the exposed surface area of Cui clusters in the vapor was 22-269 times that of the Cu substrate surface,highlighting the importance of vapor *** calculations show Cu clusters,represented by Cu17,have strong capabilities for adsorption,dehydrogenation,and decomposition of *** exhibit an adsorption lifetime and reaction flux six orders of magnitude higher than those on the Cu surface,thus providing a sufficient supply of active C atoms for rapid graphene growth and improving the surface cleanliness of the synthesiz.d *** experimental validation showed that increasing the amount of Cu vapor improved the as-synthesiz.d graphene growth rate and surface *** study provides a comprehensive understanding of vapor catalysis and the fundamental basis of vapor control for superclean graphene rapid growth.

Maternal High-Fat Diet Impairs Offspring Glucose Metabolism and Programs Hepatic DNA Methylation Linked to NK Cell-Mediated Cytotoxicity Signaling Pathway at Weaning

Maternal consumption of a high-fat diet has been linked to increased risks of obesity and impaired glucose metabolism in offspring. However， the precise epigenetic mechanisms governing these intergenerational effects， particularly during the early stages of offspring development， remain poorly understood. In this study， female C57BL/6J mice were randomly assigned to either a high-fat diet or normal chow diet throughout gestation and lactation. Methylated DNA immunoprecipitation (MeDIP) coupled with microarray analysis was employed to identify differentially methylated genes in the livers of offspring at weaning age. We found that maternal high-fat diet feeding predisposes offspring to obesity and impaired glucose metabolism as early as the weaning period. DNA methylation profile analysis unveiled a significant enrichment of differentially methylated genes within the natural killer (NK) cell-mediated cytotoxicity pathway. MeDIP-PCR validated reduced methylation levels of specific genes within this pathway， including TNFα， PI3K， and SHC1. Consistently， the expressions of TNFα， PI3K， and SHC1 were significantly upregulated， accompanied by elevated serum TNFα and IL-6 levels in offspring from dams fed with high-fat diet. Moreover， we assessed the expressions of genes associated with NK cell activities， uncovering a notable rise in hepatic granz.me B levels and a trend towards increased CD107a expression in offspring from dams fed a high-fat diet. In addition， methylation levels of TNFα， PI3K， and SHC1 promoters were inversely correlated with glucose response during glucose tolerance testing. In conclusion， our findings underscore the critical role of the NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity signaling pathway in mediating DNA methylation patterns， thereby contributing to the programming effects of maternal high-fat diet consumption on offspring glucose metabolism as early as the weaning period.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder with high genetic heritability but *** understanding its genetics requires whole-genome sequencing (WGS),but the ASD studies utiliz.ng WGS data in Chinese population are *** this study,we present a WGS study for 334 individuals,including 112 ASD patients and their non-ASD *** identified 146 de novo variants in coding regions in 85 cases and 60 inherited variants in coding *** integrating these variants with an association model,we identified 33 potential risk genes (Pz.LRP1,DDN,z.F483,NR4A2,SMAD6,INTS1,and MRPL12,with more supported evidence from GO enrichment,expression and network *** also integrated RNA-seq data to analyz. the effect of the variants on the gene expression and found 12 genes in the individuals with the related variants had relatively biased *** further presented the clinical phenotypes of the proband carrying the risk genes in both our samples and Caucasian samples to show the effect of the risk genes on *** variants in noncoding regions,a total of 74 de novo variants and 30 inherited variants were predicted as pathogenic with high confidence,which were mapped to specific genes or regulatory *** number of de novo variants found in patient was significantly associated with the parents’ages at the birth of the child,and gender with *** also identified small de novo structural variants in ASD *** results in this study provided important evidence for understanding the genetic mechanism of ASD.

The polymer electrolyte membrane(PEM)electrolyz.rs are burdened with costly iridium(Ir)-based catalysts and high operation overpotentials for the oxygen evolution reaction(OER).The development of earth-abundant,highly active,and durable electrocatalysts to replace Ir is a critical step in reducing the cost of green hydrogen *** we develop a Ru5Mo4Ox binary oxide catalyst that exhibits high activity and stability in acidic *** electron-withdrawing property of Mo enriches the electrophilic surface oxygen species,which promotes acidic OER to proceed via the adsorbate evolution *** a result,we achieve a 189 mV overpotential at 10 mA·cm^(-2) and a Tafel slope of 48.8 mV·dec^(-1).Our catalyst demonstrates a substantial 18-fold increase in intrinsic activity,as evaluated by turnover frequency,compared to commercially available RuO_(2) and IrO_(2) ***,we report a stable OER operation at 10 mA·cm^(-2) for 100 h with a low degradation rate of 2.05 mV·h^(-1).

Testosterone is closely associated with lipid metabolism and known to affect body fat composition and muscle mass in ***,the mechanisms by which testosterone acts on lipid metabolism are not yet fully understood,especially in *** this study,cyp17a1-/-z.brafish(Danio rerio)exhibited excessive visceral adipose tissue(VAT),lipid content,and up-regulated expression and activity of hepatic de novo lipogenesis(DNL)*** assay for transposase accessible chromatinwithsequencing(ATAC-seq)results demonstrated that chromatin accessibility of DNL genes was increased in cyp17a1-/-fish compared to cyp17a1+/+male fish,including stearoyl-CoA desaturase(scd)and fatty acid synthase(fasn).Androgen response element(ARE)motifs in the androgen signaling pathway were significantly enriched in cyp17a1+/+male fish but not in cyp17a1-/-*** androgen receptor(ar)-/-and wildtype(WT)z.brafish administered with Ar antagonist flutamide displayed excessive visceral adipose tissue,lipid content,and up-regulated expression and activity of hepatic de novo lipogenesis *** Ar agonist BMS-564929 reduced the content of VAT and lipid content,and down-regulated acetyl-CoA carboxylase a(acaca),fasn,and scd ***,the rescue effect of testosterone on cyp17a1-/-fish in terms of phenotypes was abolished when ar was additionally ***,these findings reveal that testosterone inhibits lipid deposition by down-regulating DNL genes via Ar in z.brafish,thus expanding our understanding of the relationship between testosterone and lipid metabolism in teleosts.

Suppressing FXR promotes antiviral effects of bile acids via enhancing the interferon transcription

Bile acids(BAs)are natural metabolites in mammals and have the potential to function as drugs against viral ***,the limited understanding of chenodeoxycholic acid(CDCA)receptors and downstream signaling,along with its lower suppression efficiency in inhibiting virus infection limits its clinical *** this study,we demonstrate that farnesoid X receptor(FXR),the receptor of CDCA,negatively regulates interferon signaling,thereby contributing to the reduced effectiveness of CDCA against virus *** deficiency or pharmacological inhibition enhances interferon signaling activation to suppress virus ***,FXR impairs the DNA binding and transcriptional abilities of activated interferon regulatory factor 3(IRF3)through *** IRF3 transcriptional activity by FXReIRF3 interaction significantly undermines the expression of Interferon Beta 1(IFNB1)and the antiviral response of cells,especially upon the CDCA *** FXR-deficient cells,or when combined with z.guggulsterone(GUGG)treatment,CDCA exhibits a more potent ability to restrict virus ***,these findings suggest that FXR serves as a limiting factor for CDCA in inhibiting virus replication,which can be attributed to the“signaling-brake”roles of FXR in interferon *** FXR inhibition represents a promising pharmaceutical strategy for the clinical application of BAs metabolites as antiviral drugs.

Accurately determining the quadrupole deformation parameters of atomic nuclei is crucial for understanding their structural and dynamic *** study introduces an innovative approach that combines transfer learning techniques with neural networks to predict the quadrupole deformation parameters of even-even *** the application of this innovative technique,the quadrupole deformation parameters of 2331 even-even nuclei are successfully predicted within the nuclear region defined by proton numbers 8≤z.134 and neutron numbers N≥***,we discuss the impact of nuclear quadrupole deformation parameters on the capture cross-sections in heavy-ion fusion reactions,reconstructing the capture cross-sections for the reactions ^(48)Ca+^(244)Pu and ^(48)Ca+^(248)*** research offers new insights into the application of neural networks in nuclear physics and highlights the potential of merging advanced machine learning techniques with both theoretical and experimental data,particularly in fields where experimental data are limited.
