Longitudinal Analysis of Inter-Limb Coordination Before and After Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury: The jUMP-ACL Study

Purpose Inter-limb coordination may provide insight into why patients with anterior cruciate ligament reconstructive sur-gery(ACLR)have an increased risk for future injury and *** purpose of this study was to compare inter-limb coordination prior-to anterior cruciate ligament(ACL)injury and following *** Unilateral lower extremity biomechanics during a double-leg jump landing were collected prior-to ACL injury(baseline)and after ACLR,rehabilitation,and return to physical activity(follow-up).Sixty-nine participants were included in this analysis:31 participants suffered an ACL injury since baseline:12 injured the leg tested at baseline[ACLR-injured leg(ACLR-INj),n=12]and 19 injured the leg that was not tested at baseline[ACLR-uninjured leg(ACLR-UNINj)n=19];38 participants served as matched ***-limb coordination-calculated as the mean coupling angle-between the hip and knee were measured in the respective leg of each defined group and compared amongst groups at baseline and *** We observed no significant change in sagittal or frontal plane inter-limb coordination amongst groups or across time(P>0.05).A significant decrease in inter-limb coordination in the transverse plane from baseline and follow-up was observed but limited to the ACLR-INj group(P=0.016).Conclusion The primary finding of this study is that inter-limb coordination between the hip and knee in the sagittal and frontal plane is unchanged by ACL injury and *** may help explain previous observations of changes in kinemat-ics at both the hip and knee in this *** observation of alterations in the transverse plane should be interpreted with caution,but may provide additional evidence for potential mechanisms that lead to the development of osteoarthritis in ACLR patients.

目的尽管太极拳(TC)可以预防老年人跌倒,但其有效动作仍不清楚,这很大程度上限制了太极拳的临床应用。本研究旨在比较太极拳下肢运动(TC LEE)、8式太极拳(8式TC)和牵拉练习对改善老年人平衡相关功能的效果。方法本研究共招募了102名符合纳排标准的受试者。所有受试者被随机分配到TC LEE组(n=40)、8式TC组(n=31)和牵拉组(n=31),并接受相应的干预。干预总时长16周,每周3次,每次1小时。本研究的评价指标包括Berg平衡量表(BBS)、起立与行走测试(TUG)、静态站立时中心压力(COP)数据、踝关节本体感觉和髋关节外展力矩。所有受试者在干预前和干预后分别进行了评价指标的收集。使用重复测量方差分析比较了3个组在干预前后的评价指标。使用非劣检验,比较了两种TC干预组在BBS和TUG测试上的变化。结果与牵拉组相比,两干预组干预后在所有评价指标上均有显著改善(P<0.002)。BBS变化量的95%置信区间(CI)上限(-0.8～1.3分)在等效边界(1.8分)内。而TUG变化量的95%CI上限(0.1～2.1 s)超出等效边界(0.7 s),TC LEE组TUG变化分数更大。结论TC LEE可以改善老年人平衡相关功能,并且在改善TUG方面比8式TC效果更好,说明腿部动作可能是太极拳的关键,可在临床应用上有所侧重。

Objective:To review the risk of prostate cancer(PCa)in men with incidentally reported increased intraprostatic uptake at 2-deoxy-2-[18F]fluoro-d-glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(18F-FDG PET/CT)ordered at Department of Urology,The Wesley Hospital,Brisbane,QLD,Australia for non-PCa related ***:Retrospective analysis of consecutive men between August 2014 and August 2019 presenting to a single institution for 18F-FDG PET/CT for non-prostate related conditions was *** were classified as benign,indeterminate,or malignant depending of the results of prostate-specific antigen(PSA),PSA velocity,biopsy histopathology,and three-Tesla(3 T)multiparametric MRI(mpMRI)Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System score,or gallium-68-prostate-specific membrane antigen(68Ga-PSMA)PET/CT ***:Three percent(273/9122)of men demonstrated 18F-FDG avidity within the ***-five percent(231/273)were further investigated,including with PSA tests(227/231,98.3%),3 T mpMRI(68/231,29.4%),68Ga-PSMA PET/CT(33/231,14.3%),and prostate biopsy(57/231,24.7%).Results were considered benign in 130/231(56.3%),indeterminate in 31/231(13.4%),and malignant in 70/231(30.3%).PCa was identified in 51/57(89.5%)of the men who proceeded to biopsy,including 26/27(96.3%)men with Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data System scores 4-5 mpMRI and six men with a positive 68Ga-PSMA PET/*** most common Gleason score on biopsy was greater than or equal to 4+5(14/51,27.5%).68Ga-PSMA PET/CT was concordant with the 18F-FDG findings in 26/33(78.8%).All 13 men with a positive concordant 18F-FDG,3 T mpMRI,and 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT had PCa on *** was no statistically significant difference in the 18F-FDG maximum standardized uptake value between the benign or malignant groups(5.7 vs.6.1;p=0.580).Conclusion:In this study,after an incidental finding of an avid intraprostatic lesion on 18F-FDG PET/CT,70 of the 231 cases(30.3%;0.8%of the entire cohort)had results c

GraphFlow+:Exploiting Conversation Flow in Conversational Machine Comprehension with Graph Neural Networks

The conversation machine comprehension(MC)task aims to answer questions in the multi-turn conversation for a single ***,recent approaches don’t exploit information from historical conversations effectively,which results in some references and ellipsis in the current question cannot be *** addition,these methods do not consider the rich semantic relationships between words when reasoning about the passage *** this paper,we propose a novel model GraphFlow+,which constructs a context graph for each conversation turn and uses a unique recurrent graph neural network(GNN)to model the temporal dependencies between the context graphs of each ***,we exploit three different ways to construct text graphs,including the dynamic graph,static graph,and hybrid graph that combines the *** experiments on CoQA,QuAC and DoQA show that the GraphFlow+model can outperform the state-of-the-art approaches.

Background： Glenohumeral internal rotation deficit （GIRD） is a risk factor for shoulder and elbow injury in baseball players. Although this evidence forms a basis for recommending stretching, clinical measures of internal rotation range of motion （ROM） do not differentiate if GIRD is due to muscular, capsuloligamentous, or osseous factors. Understanding the contributions of these structures to GIRD is important for the development of targeted interventions. We hypothesize that the osseous component will have the greatest relative contribution to GIRD, followed by muscle stiffness and posterior capsule thickness. Methods： Internal rotation ROM, muscle stiffness （teres minor, infraspinatus, and posterior deltoid）, posterior capsule thickness, and humeral retrotorsion were evaluated on 156 baseball players. A side-to-side difference was calculated for each variable. Variables were entered into a multivariable linear regression to determine the significant predictors of GIRD. Results： The regression model was statistically significant （R2 = 0.134, F（1, 156） = 24.0, p 〈 0.01） with only humeral retrotorsion difference remaining as a significant predictor （β = -0.243, t156 = -4.9, p 〈 0.01）. A greater humeral retrotorsion side-to-side difference was associated with more GIRD. Conclusion： Humeral retrotorsion accounted for 13.3% of the variance in GIRD. The stiffness of the superficial shoulder muscles and capsular thickness, as measured in this study, were not predictors of GIRD. Factors not assessed in this study, such as deeper muscle stiffness, capsule/ ligament laxity, and neuromuscular regulation of muscle stiffness may also contribute to GIRD. Since it is the largest contributor to GIRD, causes of changes in humeral retrotorsion need to be identified. The osseous component only accounted for 13.3% of the variance in GIRD, indicating a large contribution from soft tissues factors that were not addressed in this study. Bemisia tabaci： The current situation in the UK and the prospect of developing strategies for eradication using entomopathogens

The sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci （Gennadius）（Hemiptera： Aleyrodidae） remains a serious threat to crops worldwide. The damaging B-biotype is of specific economic concern because it is an effective vector of over 111 viruses from several fam- ilies, particularly geminiviruses. Bemisia tabaci is regularly intercepted on plants coming into the UK where it is subjected to a policy of eradication. The UK maintains Protective Zone status against this pest. A main pathway of entry of B. tabaci into the Protected Zone involves propagating material, especially Poinsettia （Euphorbia pulcherrima）. With increased insecticide resistance continuously being recorded, B. tabaci is becoming more difficult to control/eradicate. Recent research involving both entomopathogenic nematodes and fungi is showing much potential for the development of control programs for this pest. Both the nematode Steinernemafeltiae and the fungus Lecanicillium muscarium have been shown to be most effective against second instar B. tabaci. Fine-tuning of the environmental conditions required has also increased their efficacy. The entomopathogens have also shown a high level of compatibility with chemical insecticides, all increasing their potential to be incorporated into control strategies against B. tabaci.
