CD4^(+)T cells,particularly IL-17-secreting helper CD4^(+)T cells,play a central role in the inflammatory processes underlying autoimmune *** Elongation Factor 2 Kinase(eEF2K)is pivotal in CD8^(+)T cells and has important implications in vascular dysfunction and inflammation-related diseases such as ***,its specific immunological role in CD4^(+)T cell activities and related inflammatory diseases remains *** investigation has uncovered that the deficiency of eEF2K disrupts the survival and proliferation of CD4^(+)T cells,impairs their ability to secrete ***,this dysregulation leads to heightened production of pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-17,fosters a pro-inflammatory microenvironment in the absence of eEF2K in CD4^(+)T ***,the absence of eEF2K in CD4^(+)T cells is linked to increased metabolic activity and mitochondrial *** have shown that eEF2K regulates mitochondrial function and CD4^(+)T cell activity through the upregulation of the transcription factor,signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3).Crucially,the deficiency of eEF2K exacerbates the severity of inflammation-related diseases,including rheumatoid arthritis,multiple sclerosis,and ulcerative ***,the use of C188-9,a small molecule targeting STAT3,mitigates colitis in a murine immunodeficiency model receiving eEF2K knockout(KO)CD4^(+)T *** findings emphasize the pivotal role of eEF2K in controlling the function and metabolism of CD4^(+)T cells and its indispensable involvement in inflammation-related *** eEF2K represents a promising avenue for novel therapeutic approaches in the treatment of inflammation-related disorders.

A linear regression model (LRM) for groundwater chemistry in and around the Vaniyambadi industrial area, Tamil Nadu, India

A linear regression model in conjunction with cluster analysis was applied to the groundwater quality parameters for the Vaniyambadi industrial area, Tamil Nadu, India. These physico-chemical parameters were collected from 25 wells by intensive groundwater sampling conducted during january 2010. All the major ions, pH and electrical conductivity were analyzed. The abundances of cations were in the order of Na jor clusters representing the influence of tanneries and geological formations in the study area, which confirmed the results of major ion chemistry.

The next generation of electronics technology is purely going to be based on wearable sensing systems. Wearable electronic sensors that can operate in a continuous and sustainable manner without the need of an external power sources, are essential for portable and mobile electronic applications. In this review article, the recent progress and advantages of wearable self-powered smart chemical sensors systems for wearable electronics are presented. An overview of various modes of energy conversion and storage technologies for self-powered devices is provided. Self-powered chemical sensors (SPCS) systems with integrated energy units are then discussed, separated as solar cell-based SPCS, triboelectric nano-generators based SPCS, piezoelectric nano-generators based SPCS, energy storage device based SPCS, and thermal energy-based SPCS. Finally, the outlook on future prospects of wearable chemical sensors in self-powered sensing systems is addressed.

Usage of rolling contact bearings in variety of rotor-dynamic applications has put forth a need to develop a detailed and easy to implement techniques for the assessment of damage related features in these bearings so that before mechanical failure,maintenance actions can be planned well in *** accordance to this,a method based on dimensional amplitude response analysis and scaling laws is presented in this paper for the diagnosis of defects in different components of rolling contact bearings in a dimensionally scaled rotor-bearing ***,bearing,operating and defect parameters involved are detailed for dimensional analysis using frequency domain vibration data.A defect parameter for modeling all the three dimensions of the defect as well as the different shapes like square,circular,rectangular is put forth which takes into account the volume as well as the surface area of the *** data set is generated for the‘model’bearing(designated as SKF30205j2/Q)using Box-Behnken design of response surface methodology for solution of the theoretical model by factorial regression *** metamodel is then used for the prediction of the objective variable,i.e.,Vibration acceleration amplitude at the defect frequency component for other types of‘test’bearings(designated as SKF 30305C and SKF 22220 EK)using the developed scaling *** experiments showed that the computable relationship amongst objective variable and the dimensionless parameters can be forecast and correlated.

Experimental and numerical investigation of liquid-solid binary fluidized beds： Radioactive particle tracking technique and dense discrete phase model simulations

Liquid-solid binary fluidized beds are widely used in many industries. However, the flow behavior of such beds is not well understood due to the lack of accurate experimental and numerical data. In the current study, the behavior of monodisperse and binary liquid-solid fluidized beds of the same density but dif- ferent sizes is investigated using radioactive particle tracking （RPT） technique and a dense discrete phase model （DDPM）. Experiments and simulations are performed in monodisperse fluidized beds containing two different sizes of glass beads （0.6 and I mm） and a binary fluidized bed of the same particles for vari- ous bed compositions. The results show that both RPT and DDPM can predict the mixing and segregation pattern in liquid-solid binary fluidized beds. The mean velocity predictions of DDPM are in good agree- ment with the experimental findings for both monodisperse and binary fluidized beds. However, the axial root mean square velocity predictions are only reasonable for bigger particles. Particle-particle interac- tions are found to be critical for predicting the flow behavior of solids in liquid-solid binary fluidized beds.

Tree species composition and diversity in montane forests of Garhwal Himalaya in relation to environmental and soil properties

The montane forests of Garhwal Himalaya were investigated for tree species composition and diversity in relation to environmental and edaphic variables.A stratified random sampling approach was adopted to collect the field data from each forest.A total of 39 tree species belonging to 31 genera and 23 families were recorded from the sampling area(6 forest stands ×10 plots in each).Lauraceae with 5 species was the largest family while Quercus(4 species) emerged as the largest ***-area curve(asymptote) predicted more species than the observed number of *** analysis has shown that the two Abies pindrow dominant forest stands had the highest similarity in tree species *** tree stem density ranged from 540-1170 ha-1,basal area 23.01-55.94 m^2 ha-1,ShannonWiener diversity index 1.69-2.49,evenness index0.42-0.74,beta diversity 0.40-0.82 and similarity index 0.17-0.54 in the six studied ***-way indicator species analysis(TWINSPAN) identified four distinct tree communities in the study area with Daphniphyllum himalayense,Abies pindrow,Quercus oblongata,and Pinus roxburghii as indicator species of corresponding *** correspondence analysis(CCA) ascertained the TWINSPAN results and revealed the relation of tree species with environmental and edaphic *** phytosociological attributes of tree species varied from one forest stand to another;however,the tree species richness,density,and diversity peaked at intermediate elevation on the north *** reveal that tree composition and diversity in the montane forests of Garhwal Himalaya are influenced by both environmental(elevation and slope aspect)and soil variables(texture,water holding capacity,moisture content,available N,exchangeable P,and pH).This study will help in understanding the forest distribution across the western Himalaya,guiding the conservationists and policymakers in carrying out conservation-related management activities,designing the long-
