In commercial practice, broiler chickens may be exposed to Fusarium mycotoxins either during specific growth stages or throughout the entire production cycle. A 34-day feeding trial was conducted to identify sensitive periods for mycotoxin effects during the growth cycle of broiler chickens. A total of 420 newly-hatched Ross 308 male broilers were randomly assigned to 60 cages with 7 birds/cage. Sources of clean wheat(jejunum and ileum were collected at 21 and 34 d and morphometric parameters(villus height, crypt depth, villus width, muscularis thickness and villi:crypt ratio) were measured. Birds fed the DON starter diet during the first 14 d did not exhibit any changes in growth performance;however, growth performance was suppressed in birds fed DON-contaminated diets during the grower period(22 to 34 d). At 34 d, birds that received the DON grower diet(DON 22 to 34 d and DON 1 to 34 d)were lighter(1,433 vs. 1,695 g) than birds fed the control diet. Feed to gain ratio was higher in birds fed the DON grower diet from 22 to 28 d(1.77 vs. 1.56) and 28 to 34 d(2.24 vs. 1.85) compared with corresponding controls. These results suggest that providing older broiler chicks(22 to 34 d) feed contaminated with Fusarium mycotoxins(specifically DON) may result in production losses. Multiple reference optical coherence tomography（MR-OCT） is a recently developed, low-cost and compact time-domain OCT solution for primary care and consumer level applications. A combination of a voice coil actuator and a partial mirror（PM） extends the scan range for imaging depths of approximately 1 mm in biological samples. Our previous research on MR-OCT is based only on intensity information obtained from the depth-resolved interference signal. In this Letter, we extract the phase information from the MR-OCT signal and, hence, provide an additional contrast modality. The phase sensitivity of the system is measured to be approximately 0.2 and 1.5 rad for the first and twelfth orders of reflection when using a mirror as the *** Letter describes first results of phase-sensitive data measured on a phantom obtained with MR-OCT. Data from a chick embryo chorioallantoic membrane（CAM） is used to demonstrate the feasibility of MR-OCT for in vivo phase-sensitive imaging.

Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant(HSCT) remains the only potentially curative option for variety of hematologic disorders. Lack of a suitable fully HLAmatched donor limits this option for many patients. Without a suitable related or unrelated HLA-matched donor,umbilical cord blood and haploidentical family members provide a potential source of stem cells. Timely donor availability makes haploidentical donors an attractive alternative donor source. Initial attempts at haploidentical HSCT was associated with significantly increased mortality owing to high rates of graft rejection and severe graftversus-host disease caused by major donor-recipient HLAdisparity. However, over the past decade, outcomes of haploidentical HSCT have improved significantly. Here, we review the advantages and challenges of haploidentical transplantation. We also discuss new developments to attempt to overcome the challenges to a successful haploidentical transplantation.

BACKGROUND Infection of a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt(TIPS)stent is a rare and serious complication that most commonly occurs during TIPS creation and *** typically present with recurrent bacteremia due to shunt occlusion or *** date there are approximately 58 cases *** present a patient diagnosed with late polymicrobial TIPS infection five years following TIPS *** SUMMARY A 63-year-old female status-post liver transplant with recurrent cirrhosis and portal hypertension presented with sepsis and recurrent extended-spectrum betalactamase Escherichia coli *** tomography of the abdomen revealed an occluded TIPS with thrombus extension into the distal right portal vein,and focal thickening of the cecum and ascending *** revealed patchy ulcers in these areas with histopathology demonstrating ulcerated colonic mucosa with fibrinopurulent *** thrombectomy and revision revealed infected-appearing *** initially cleared her infection with antibacterial therapy and TIPS revision;however,soon after,she developed Enterobacter cloacae bacteremia and Candida glabrata and *** fungemia with recurrent TIPS *** remained on antifungal therapy indefinitely and later developed vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus faecium with recurrent TIPS *** option of liver re-transplant for removal of the infected TIPS was not offered given her critical illness and complex shunt *** patient became intolerant to linezolid and elected hospice *** Clinicians should be aware that TIPS superinfection may occur as long as five years following TIPS creation in an immunocompromised patient.

The DDE-Biftool software is applied to solve the dynamical stability and bifurcation problem of the neutrophil cells model. Based on Hopf point finding with the stability property of the equilibrium solution loss, the continuation of the bifurcating periodical solution starting from Hopf point is exploited. The generalized Hopf point is tracked by seeking for the critical value of free parameter of the switching phenomena of the open loop, which describes the lineup of bifurcating periodical solutions from Hopf point. The normal form near the generalized Hopf point is computed by Lyapunov-Schimdt reduction scheme combined with the center manifold analytical technique. The near dynamics is classified by geometrically different topological phase portraits.

Despite the advances of medical,endoscopic and radiological therapy over recent years the mortality rates of acute variceal haemorrhage are still 16%-20% and the medium term outcome has not improved in the last 25 years. Early transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt has proved to be an effective therapy for selected groups of patients with a high risk of re-bleeding and moderate liver disease. However,there is an unmet need for a therapy that can be applied in patients with a high risk of re-bleeding and advanced liver disease either as definitive therapy or as a bridge to permanent therapy. Selfexpanding metal stents can be placed without the need for endoscopic or fluoroscopic control and,once in place,will provide effective haemostasis and allow a route for oral fluids and nutrition. They can remain in place whilst liver function recovers and secondary prophylaxis is initiated. We review the results of 6 case series including a total of 83 patients and the first randomised controlled trial of self-expanding metal stents vs balloon tamponade(BT) in the management of refractory variceal haemorrhage. We report that self-expanding metal stents provide effective haemostasis and perform better than BT in refractory bleeding,where they are associated with fewer complications. Whilst the most effective place for self-expanding metal stents in the management algorithm needs to be determined by further randomised controlled trials,currently they provide an effective alternative to BT in selected patients.

该文对光圆钢筋配筋RC框架结构在锈蚀环境下的抗震性能进行分析,提出一种可以考虑光圆钢筋锈蚀引起的材料性能退化及钢筋-混凝土黏结滑移性能退化的节点宏单元模型。通过对已有试验结果进行模拟,验证所提出节点模型的合理性。以新西兰奥克兰市的一栋光圆钢筋配筋的锈蚀RC结构为例,基于SeismoStruct有限元软件,采用所提出的节点模型建立算例结构完好及锈蚀后的有限元模型。分别采用静力Pushover方法及动力时程分析法对算例结构的抗震性能进行分析。分析结果表明:光圆钢筋锈蚀引起的RC框架结构抗震性能退化幅度要高于变形钢筋。

Demineralized bone matrix(DBM)has been widely used clinically for dental,craniofacial and skeletal bone repair,as an osteoinductive and osteoconductive material.3D printing(3DP)enables the creation of bone tissue engineering scaffolds with complex geometries and *** methacryloylated gelatin nanoparticles(GNP-MAs)3DP inks have been developed,which display gel-like behavior for high print fidelity and are capable of post-printing photocrosslinking for control of scaffold swelling and ***,novel DBM nanoparticles(DBM-NPs,∼400 nm)were fabricated and characterized prior to incorporation in 3DP *** objectives of this study were to determine how these DBM-NPs would influence the printability of composite colloidal 3DP inks,assess the impact of ultraviolet(UV)crosslinking on 3DP scaffold swelling and degradation and evaluate the osteogenic potential of DBM-NP-containing composite colloidal *** addition of methacryloylated DBM-NPs(DBM-NP-MAs)to composite colloidal inks(100:0,95:5 and 75:25 GNP-MA:DBM-NP-MA)did not significantly impact the rheological properties associated with printability,such as viscosity and shear recovery or *** crosslinking with a UV dosage of 3 j/cm2 directly impacted the rate of 3DP scaffold swelling for all GNP-MA:DBM-NP-MA ratios with an∼40%greater increase in scaffold area and pore area in uncrosslinked versus photocrosslinked scaffolds over 21 days in phosphate-buffered saline(PBS).Likewise,degradation(hydrolytic and enzymatic)over 21 days for all DBM-NP-MA content groups was significantly decreased,∼45%less in PBS and collagenase-containing PBS,in UV-crosslinked versus uncrosslinked *** incorporation of DBM-NP-MAs into scaffolds decreased mass loss compared to GNP-MA-only scaffolds during collagenase *** in vitro osteogenic study with bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells demonstrated osteoconductive properties of 3DP scaffolds for the DBM-NP-MA contents examine
