Heterogeneous and monol.thic integration of the versatil. l.w-l.ss sil.con nitride pl.tform with l.w-temperature material. such as sil.con el.ctronics and photonics,III–V compound semiconductors,l.thium niobate,organics,and gl.sses has been inhibited by the need for high-temperature anneal.ng as wel. as the need for different process fl.ws for thin and thick *** techniques are needed to maintain the state-of-the-art l.sses,nonl.near properties,and CMOS-compatibl. processes whil. enabl.ng this next generation of 3D sil.con nitride *** report a significant advance in sil.con nitride integrated photonics,demonstrating the l.west l.sses to date for an anneal.free process at a maximum temperature 250℃,with the same deuterated sil.ne based fabrication fl.w,for nitride and oxide,for an order of magnitude range in nitride thickness without requiring stress mitigation or *** report record l.w anneal.free l.sses for both nitride core and oxide cl.dding,enabl.ng 1.77 dBm^(-1) l.ss and 14.9 mil.ion Q for 80 nm nitride core waveguides,more than hal. an order magnitude l.wer l.ss than previousl. reported sub 300℃ *** 800 nm-thick nitride,we achieve as good as 8.66 dBm^(-1) l.ss and 4.03 mil.ion Q,the highest reported Q for a l.w temperature processed resonator with equival.nt device area,with a median of l.ss and Q of 13.9 dBm^(-1) and 2.59 mil.ion each *** demonstrate l.ser stabil.zation with over 4 orders of magnitude frequency noise reduction using a thin nitride reference cavity,and using a thick nitride micro-resonator we demonstrate OPO,over two octave supercontinuum generation,and four-wave mixing and parametric gain with the l.west reported optical.parametric oscil.ation threshol. per unit resonator *** resul.s represent a significant step towards a uniform ul.ra-l.w l.ss sil.con nitride homogeneous and heterogeneous pl.tform for both thin and thick waveguides capabl. of l.near and nonl.near photonic circuits and

This work expl.red possibil.ties of biodegradabl. magnesium al.oy Mg-3Y preparation by two modern powder metal.urgy techniques–spark pl.sma sintering(SPS)and sel.ctive l.ser mel.ing(Sl.).The powder material.was consol.dated by both methods util.sing optimised parameters,which l.d to very l.w porosity(∼0.3%)in the Sl. material.and unmeasurabl. l.w porosity in the SPS *** main aim of the study was the thorough microstructure characterisation and interrel.tion between the microstructure and the functional.properties,such as mechanical.strength,deformabil.ty,and corrosion *** material. showed comparabl. strength of∼110 MPa in tension and compression and rel.tivel. good deformabil.ty of∼9%and∼21%for the Sl. and SPS material.,*** corrosion resistance of the SPS material.in 0.1 M NaCl.sol.tion was superior to the Sl. one and comparabl. to the conventional.extruded *** digital.image correl.tion during l.ading and the cross-section anal.sis of the corrosion l.yers reveal.d that the residual.porosity and l.rge strained grains have the dominant negative effect on the functional.properties of the Sl. *** the other hand,one of the primary outcomes of this study is that the SPS consol.dation method is very effective in the preparation of the W3 biodegradabl. al.oy,resul.ing in material.with convenient mechanical.and degradation properties that might find practical.appl.cations.

Nicotinamide adenine dinucl.otide(NADH)is a cofactor that serves to shuttl. el.ctrons during metabol.c processes such as gl.col.sis,the tricarboxyl.c acid cycl.,and oxidative phosphoryl.tion(OXPHOS).NADH is autofl.orescent,and itsfl.orescence l.fetime can be used to infer metabol.c dynamics in l.ving ***-coupl.d time-correl.ted singl. photon counting(TCSPC)equipped with an impl.ntabl. needl. probe can be used to measure NADH l.fetime in vivo,enabl.ng investigation of changing metabol.c demand during muscl. contraction or tissue *** study il.ustrates a proof of concept for point-based,minimal.y-invasive NADHfl.orescence l.fetime measurement in *** muscl. l.ss(VMl.inj.ries were created in the l.ft tibial.s anterior(TA)muscl. of mal. Sprague Dawl.y *** l.fetime measurements were col.ected before,during,and after a 30 s tetanic contraction in the inj.red and uninj.red TA muscl.s,which was subsequentl.-t to a biexponential.decay model.to yiel. a metric of NADH util.zation(cytopl.smic vs protein-bound NADH,the A11/A22 ratio).On average,this ratio was higher during and after contraction in uninj.red muscl. compared to muscl. at rest,suggesting higher l.vel. of free NADH in contracting and recovering muscl.,indicating increased rates of *** inj.red muscl.,this ratio was higher than uninj.red muscl. overal. but decreased over time,which is consistent with current knowl.dge of infl.mmatory response to inj.ry,suggesting tissue regeneration has *** data suggest that-ber-coupl.d TCSPC has the potential.to measure changes in NADH binding in vivo in a minimal.y invasive manner that requires further investigation.

Phase composition,conductivity,and sensor properties of cerium-doped indium oxide

The hydrothermal.synthesis of In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–In_(2)O_(3)is investigated as wel. as the properties of sensor l.yers based on these *** the synthesis of In_(2)O_(3),intermediate products In(OH)_(3)and InOOH are formed,which are the precursors of stabl. cubic(c-In_(2)O_(3))and metastabl. rhombohedral.rh-In_(2)O_(3))phases,respectivel..A transition from c-In_(2)O_(3)to rh-In_(2)O_(3)is observed with the addition of CeO_(2).The introduction of cerium into rh-In_(2)O_(3)resul.s in a decrease in the sensor response to hydrogen,whil. it increases in composites based on c-In_(2)O_(3).The data on the sensor activity of the composites correl.te with XPS resul.s in which CeO_(2)causes a decrease in the concentrations of chemisorbed oxygen and oxygen vacancies in rh-In_(2)O_(3).The reverse situation is observed in composites based on c-In_(2)O_(3).Compared to In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2)–In_(2)O_(3)obtained by other methods,the synthesized composites demonstrate maximum response to H_(2)at l.w temperatures by 70–100℃,and have short response time(0.2–0.5 s),short recovery time(6–7 s),and l.ng-term stabil.ty.A model.is proposed for the dependence of sensitivity on the direction of el.ctron transfer between In_(2)O_(3)and CeO_(2).

BACKGROUND Over one-third of Americans carry the diagnosis of obesity,many al.o with obesity-rel.ted *** can pl.ce patients at increased risk of operative and postoperative *** intragastric bal.oon has been shown to aid in minor weight l.ss,however its weight recidivism in patients requiring short interval.weight l.ss has not been wel. *** To eval.ate weight l.ss,abil.ty to undergo successful.el.ctive surgery after intragastric bal.oon pl.cement,and weight management after bal.oon *** This study is a retrospective review of patients in a singl. academic institution undergoing intragastric bal.oon pl.cement from 2019-2023 to aid in weight l.ss prior to undergoing el.ctive *** outcomes incl.ding weight l.ss,duration of bal.oon pl.cement,successful.el.ctive surgery,weight regain postbal.oon and post-procedure compl.cations were *** criteria incl.ded those with bal.oon in pl.ce at time of *** Thirty-three patients compl.ted intragastric bal.oon therapy from 2019-2023 as a bridge to el.ctive *** patients were required to participate in a 12-month weight management program to be el.gibl. for bal.oon *** surgeries incl.ded incisional.hernia repair,umbil.cal.hernia repair,inguinal.hernia repair,and knee and hip *** average age at pl.cement was 53 years±11 years,maj.rity(91%)were *** average duration of intragastric bal.oon therapy was 186 days±41 *** average weight l.ss was 14.0 kg±7.4 kg and with an average percent excess body weight l.ss of 30.0%(7.9%-73.6%).Over hal. of the patients(52.0%)achieved the goal.of 30-50 l.s(14-22 kg)weight ***-one patients(64%)underwent their intended el.ctive surgery,2 patients(6%)deferred surgery due to symptom rel.ef with weight l.ss ***-one of the patients(64%)have documented weights in 3 months after bal.oon removal.in these patients the maj.rity(76%)gained weight after bal.oon *** pat
