新冠肺炎大流行以及随后实施的保持社交距离措施影响社会各行各业,也包括教育。为了使教育能继续进行,教育机构不得不迅速适应新情况,于是出现了前所未有的在线学习热潮。很多平台,包括商业性数字学习平台供应商争先恐后提供(在线学习)支持和“解决方案”,有时还是免费的。因此,新冠肺炎大流行催生了教育技术的卖方市场。本文从批判性视角反思仓促采用商业性数字学习方案可能引发的问题,因为这些方案的设计可能并不总是基于最佳教学实践,而是遵循它们利用用户数据谋利的商业模式。早在新冠肺炎大流行之前,教育技术重新定义教与学和简化教与学内涵的情况已经受到越来越多的批评。本文还驳斥了“教育抱恙在身,应该也能够用技术给教育治病”这种论调。这种技术化常常被认为是中立的,与教育化(要求教育解决越来越多的社会问题)密切相关。教育机构眼下的选择对新冠肺炎大流行期间的教育和在线学习正在产生怎样的影响?现在正是反思这个问题的关键时候。具体说,这些选择将会强化教育的资本主义工具论还是促进人的全面发展?本文呼吁教育界领导者认真考虑他们目前正在做出的决定,思考这些决定是否真的能为创造我们所希望的未来教育铺平道路。

Breas. cancer is.the number one caus. of can- cer deaths.among His.anic women in the United s.ates. and in Mexico, it recently became the primary caus. of cancer deaths. This.malign- nancy repres.nts.a poorly unders.ood and un- ders.udied dis.as. in His.anic women. The ELLA Binational Breas. Cancer s.udy was.es. tablis.ed in 2006 as.a multi-center s.udy to as. s.s. patterns.of breas. tumor markers. clinical characteris.ics. and their ris. factors.in women of Mexican des.ent. We des.ribe the des.gn and implementation of the ELLA s.udy and provide a ris. factor comparis.n between women in the U.s. and thos. in Mexico bas.d on a s.mple of 765 patients.(364 in the U.s. and 401 in Mexico). Compared to women in Mexico, U.s. women had s.gnificantly (p s. 3.9 mean live births. and breas.feeding rates.(57.5% vs. 80.5%), higher us. of oral contraceptives.(60.7% vs. 50.1%) and hormone replacement therapy (23.3% vs. 7.6%), and higher family his.ory of breas. cancer (15.7% vs. 9.0%). Re- s.lts.s.ow that differences.in breas. cancer ris. factor patterns.exis. between Mexico and U.s. women. We provide les.ons.learned from the conduct of our s.udy. Binational s.udies.are an important s.ep in unders.anding dis.as. pat- terns.and etiology for women in both countries.

The Circular Electron Pos.tron Collider(CEPC)is.a large s.ientific project initiated and hos.ed by China,fos.ered through extens.ve collaboration with international *** complex compris.s.four accelerators.a 30 GeV Linac,a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring,a Boos.er capable of achieving energies.up to 180 GeV,and a Collider operating at varying energy modes.Z,W,H,and tt).The Linac and Damping Ring are s.tuated on the s.rface,while the s.bterranean Boos.er and Collider are hous.d in a 100 km circumference underground tunnel,s.rategically accommodating future expans.on with provis.ons.for a potential s.per Proton Proton Collider(s.PC).The CEPC primarily s.rves.as.a Higgs.*** its.bas.line des.gn with s.nchrotron radiation(s.)power of 30 MW per beam,it can achieve a luminos.ty of 5×10^(34)cm^(-2)s.(-1)per interaction point(IP),res.lting in an integrated luminos.ty of 13 ab^(-1)for two IPs.over a decade,producing 2.6 million Higgs.*** the s. power to 50 MW per beam expands.the CEPC's.capability to generate 4.3 million Higgs.bos.ns.facilitating precis. meas.rements.of Higgs.coupling at s.b-percent levels.exceeding the precis.on expected from the HL-LHC by an order of *** Technical Des.gn Report(TDR)follows.the Preliminary Conceptual Des.gn Report(Pre-CDR,2015)and the Conceptual Des.gn Report(CDR,2018),comprehens.vely detailing the machine's.layout,performance metrics.phys.cal des.gn and analys.s.technical s.s.ems.des.gn,R&D and prototyping efforts.and as.ociated civil engineering ***,it includes.a cos. es.imate and a preliminary cons.ruction timeline,es.ablis.ing a framework for forthcoming engineering des.gn phas. and s.te s.lection *** is.anticipated to begin around 2027-2028,pending government approval,with an es.imated duration of 8 *** commencement of experiments.and data collection could potentially be initiated in the mid-2030s.
