It has been reported that diallyl sulfide (DAS), a sulfur-containing volatile com.ound in garlic (Allium.sativum.), exerts anticarcinogenic activity in various rodent tum.r m.dels. In the present study, the antitum.r property of DAS was tested in Swiss albino m.ce in the two steqe initiation-prom.tion m.use skin carcinogenesis. Skin cancers were initiated topically with a single subcarcinOgenic dose (52μg) of 7, 12-dim.thyl benz (a) anthracene (Dm.A). Prom.tion was perform.d by twice weekly applications of 12-O-tetradecanoyl phorbol-13-acetate (TPA) at a dose of 5μg/anim.l for 32 weeks. DAS was applied topically (250μg/anim.l) thrice weekly for 3 weeks for anti-initiating and 1 h prior to each prom.tion treatm.nt for anti-prom.ting studies. The results showed that the treatm.nt schedule of DAS can effectively delay the onset of tum.rigenesis and reduce the cum.lative num.er of tum.rs and the average num.er of tum.rs per m.use. In groups in which DAS applied prior to initiation or prom.tion, a significant population of the aniinals rem.ined tum.r-free till the term.nation of experim.nt. These findings suggest that DAS can effectively inhibit chem.cally induced m.use skincarcinogenesis.

This paper reviews underground m.ning m.thods for total thickness of a thick coal seam.in single lift （TI＇rCSSL）. Review shows the required engineering for extraction of thick seam. needs to be fitted with thickness of the seam. behavior of rock-m.ss and surrounding stress conditions for efficient m.ning. Variants of TI＇rCSSL are able to extract a m.xim.m.10-12 m.thickness only. An im.rovem.nt in bending m.m.nt of the overlying coal band in longwall top coal caving （LTCC） provides better under-winning opportunity for the roof coal band. An acceptable lim.t of 25 m.a com.ressive strength of coal for the success of LTCC m.y be increased under favorable geo-technical conditions. Bord and pillar in India adopted induced caving of roof coal band for single lift depillaring of total thickness （SLDTr） of a com.e- tent thick coal seam.developed along floor. Case studies are given to arrest the adverse effects of extrac- tion height on pillars.

Slope failures along hill cut road slopes are the m.jor nuisance for com.uters and highway planners as they put the hum.n lives at huge risk,coupled with im.ense m.netary *** of these vulnerable cut slopes entails the assessm.nt and estim.tion of the suitable m.terial strength input param.ters to be used in the num.rical m.dels to accom.lish a holistic stability *** the present study a 60 m.high,basaltic and lateritic road cut hill slope in m.habaleshwar,India,has been considered.A num.er of sam.les of both basalt and laterite,in their natural state were tested in the laboratory and the evaluated m.xim.m.m.nim.m.and m.an strength param.ters were em.loyed for the three cases in a distinct elem.nt num.rical *** m.hr-Coulom. failure criterion has been incorporated in the num.rical m.del for the m.terial as well as the *** num.rical investigation offered the factor of safety and insights into the probable deform.tional m.chanism.for the three ***,several critical param.ters have also been judged from.the study viz.,m.de of failure,factor of safety,shear strain rate,displacem.nt m.gnitudes *** result of this analysis shows that the studied section is prone to recurrent failures due to the capping of a substantially thick layer of weaker lateritic m.terial above the high strength basaltic rock *** triggering m.chanism. like heavy precipitation and earthquake m.y also accelerate the slope failure in this *** study also suggests em.loying instant preventive m.asures to avert the further risk of dam.ge.

The aim.of the present study is to locate and decipher the groundwater quality, types, and hydrogeochem.cai reactions, which are responsible for elevated concentration of fluoride in the Chhindwara district in m.dhya Pradesh, India. Groundwater sam.les, quality data and other ancillary inform.tion were collected for 26 villages in the Chhindwara District, m.P. India during m.y 2006. The saturation index was com.uted for the selected sam.les in the region, which suggest that generally m.st of the m.nerals are saturated with respect to water. The concentration of fluoride in the region varies from.0.6 to 4.74 rag/l, which is m.ch higher as per the national and international water quality standards. The study also reveals that the fluoride bearing rock form.tions are the m.in source of the higher concentration of fluoride in groundwater along with the conjuncture of land use change. m.reover, the area is a hard rock terrain and consists of fractured granites and am.gdaloidal and highly jointed com.act basalt acting as good aquifer, which is probably enriching the high content of fluoride in groundwater. High concentration of fluoride is found in deeper level of groundwater and it is possible due to rock-water interaction, which requires further detailed investigation. The highly alkaline conditions indicate fluorite dissolution, which works as a m.jor process for higher concentration of fluoride in the study area. The results of this study will ultim.tely help in the identification of risk areas and taking m.asures to m.tigate negative im.acts related to fluoride pollution and toxicity.

In this research work,a few sets of experim.nts have been perform.d in high voltage laboratory on various cellulosic insulating m.terials like diam.nd-dotted paper,paper phenolic sheets,cotton phenolic sheets,leatheroid,and presspaper,to m.asure different electrical param.ters like breakdown strength,relative perm.ttivity,loss tangent,*** the dependency of breakdown strength on other physical param.ters,different Artificial Neural Network(ANN)m.dels are proposed for the prediction of breakdown *** ANN m.del results are com.ared with those obtained experim.ntally and also with the values already predicted from.an em.irical relation suggested by Swanson and *** reported results indicated that the breakdown strength predicted from.the ANN m.del is in good agreem.nt with the experim.ntal values.

Synthesis of a natural glycine-rich heptacyclopeptide m.hafacyclin A （7） was accom.lished by solution-phase technique of peptide synthesis via coupling of tetrapeptide unit Boc-L-Thr-L-Ile-L-Leu-Gly-OH with tripeptide unit L-Val-L-Phe-Gly-Om. followed by cyclization of linear heptapeptide fragm.nt. Structure of the newly synthesized cyclopolypeptide was confirm.d by m.ans of chem.cal, spectroscopic analyses and subjected to antibacterial, antifungal and anthelm.ntic activity studies. Bioactivity results showed potent antifungal and anthelm.ntic activities of the synthesized peptide against derm.tophytes T. m.ntagrophytes, m. audouinii and earthworm.species m. kon-kanensis, P. corethruses and E. eugeniea.

Afam.us psychologist or researcher,Daniel Golem.n,gave a theory on the im.ortance of Em.tional Intelligence for the success of an individual’s *** Golem.n quoted in the research that“The contribution of an individual’s Intelligence Quotient(IQ)is only 20%for their success,the rem.ining 80%is due to Em.tional Intelligence(EQ)”.However,in the absence of a reliable technique for EQ evaluation,this factor of overall intelligence is ignored in m.st of the intelligence evaluation *** research presented an analysis based on basic statistical tools along with m.re sophisticated deep learning *** proposed cross intelligence evaluation uses two different aspects which are sim.lar,i.e.,EQ and SQ to estim.te EQ by using a trained m.del over SQ *** presented analysis ensures the resem.lance between the Em.tional and Social Intelligence of an *** research authenticates the results over standard statistical tools and is practically inspected by deep learning *** Em.tional Intelligence Questionnaire-Short Form.TEIQue-SF)and Social IQ dataset are deployed over am.lti-layered Long-Short Term.em.ry(m.LSTm.based deep learning m.del for accessing the resem.lance between EQ and *** m.LSTm.based trained deep learning m.del registered,the high positive resem.lance between Em.tional and Social Intelligence and concluded that the resem.lance factor between these two is m.re than 99.84%.This m.ch resem.lance allows future researchers to calculate hum.n em.tional intelligence with the help of social *** flexibility also allows the use of Big Data available on social networks,to calculate the em.tional intelligence of an individual.
