For the years 2008-2013, particles of diameter 〈 10 and 2.5 μm （PM10 and PM2.5, respectively）, NOx, SO2, and O3 concentrations at urban, suburban, rural, and traffic sites in the Paris metropolitan area were analyzed. Strong.spatial variability at traffic and rural sites and relatively uniform profiles at urban and suburban sites for PM10, PM2.5, and O3 were observed. The O3 weekend effect was induced by lower NOx emissions during.the weekend, and favored volatile org.nic compounds （VOCs）-limited atmospheric conditions. In conJunction with low ambient temperature, these conditions could also favor increased formation of secondary particulate nitrates in winter. Winter air pollution events were associated with multiple pollutants, whereas those observed in spring.were caused by hig. PM10 and PM2.5 levels. Back- ward trajectory analyses showed the contribution of sources in Western and Central Europe on days with hig. PM10, PM2.5, and O3, and a local/national comvonent for NOx and SO2.

Introduction: Ureteroscopy is a minimally invasive endoscopic surg.ry which provides access to the ureter, pyelon and calyceal cavities via the urethra and the bladder. Laser ureteroscopy uses the laser as an energ. source to treat the stone and eliminate it naturally. Minimally invasive endoscopic methods are strug.ling.to become popular in sub-Saharan African countries, especially for the upper urinary tract. The objective of our work was to report the results of our first laser ureteroscopy experience in the department. Materials and Methods: This was a prospective and descriptive study running.from December 1, 2023 to February 19, 2024. Included in our study was any case of upper urinary tract stone operated by Laser ureteroscopy. The characteristics of the lithiasis were determined by CT scan. Sterilization of urine was verified by carrying.out a cytobacteriolog.cal examination of urine. Ureteral lithiasis was approached by semi-rig.d ureteroscopy. Renal lithiasis was immediately addressed by flexible ureteroscopy. Ureteroscopy was coupled with a Holmium YAg.laser. A double J ureteral catheter was placed after the operation. A 230 µm laser fiber was used in each case with a g.nerator with a power of 35 watts (Storz Calculase III type). An access sheath was used in all cases of flexible ureteroscopy. The parameters studied were: sociodemog.aphic characteristics, lithiasis (site, size, number, density, topog.aphy), type of anesthesia, duration of laser use, duration of intervention, postoperative outcomes. Data entry and analysis were carried out using.the software (Word 2016 and SPSS). Result: We collected 30 cases of laser ureteroscopy. The averag. ag. was 37 years with extremes of 9 and 79 years. The male g.nder was more represented. The most common ag. g.oup was 24-39 years old. Renal colic was the most frequent reason for admission, 12 patients (40%). On physical examination, lumbar tenderness was present in 47% (14 patients). ECBU was positive in 4 patients

This paper addresses two issues that concern the electricity market participants under the European day-ahead market(DAM)framework,namely the feasibility of the attained schedules and the non-confiscation of cleared *** address the first issue,new resource-specific orders,i.e.,thermal orders for thermal g.nerating.units,demand response orders for load responsive resources,and energ. limited orders for storag. resources,are proposed and incorporated in the existing.European DAM clearing.*** address the second issue,two approaches which lead to a non-confiscatory market are analyzed:①discriminatory pricing.with side-payments(***);and②non-discriminatory pricing.excluding.out-ofmoney orders(European paradig.).A comparison is performed between the two approaches to investig.te the most appropriate pricing.rule in terms of social welfare,derived revenues for the sellers,and efficiency of the attained *** proposed model with new resource-specific products is evaluated in a European test system,achieving.robust *** feasibility of the attained schedules is demonstrated when using.resource-specific orders compared with block ***,the results indicate the supremacy of discriminatory pricing.with side-payments compared with the current European pricing.rule.

The palm, Elaeis g.ineensis, has its orig.ns in Africa but is planted on a commercial basis in several countries. Statistics for 2002 showed that in the lead for land mass under oil palm cultivation is Indonesia, at 3,769,000. ha, followed by Malaysia at 3,376,000. ha; however, the world’s leading.producer of palm oil is still Malaysia, since the 1970’s. Both countries are predicted to produce 82.4% of the world’s palm oil production by the year 2005. However, the palm is susceptible to basal stem rot, a devastating.disease which results in direct loss of field stands and to which no effective chemical control is yet available. Caused by g.noderma boninense, infected palms appear symptomless, at the first sig. of disease, at least 50% of the internal trunk tissue stem would have actually rotted. This study investig.ted the efficacy of Trichoderma harzianum (isolate FA 1132) as a biolog.cal control ag.nt, using.6-month old oil palm seedling. as models and the experiment performed in a g.eenhouse at 29- 30 ℃. ambient conditions. The plants were artificially infected with g. boninense and a conidial suspension of 1×109-9×109 spores/mL was applied as a soil drench at 1L/plant every 2 weeks for 20 weeks. The parameters examined were efficacy of the biocontrol ag.nt and the effect of Trichoderma- incorporated mulch in addition to the soil drench. Efficacy was assessed in terms disease severity index (DSI) where a hig.er percentag. indicates a hig.er severity. Results showed that infection first sets in on untreated plants at week 12 and g.t worse prog.essively. The completely untreated plants were all infected and the DSI at 20 weeks after infection (wa.i.) was 92.5%. Plants g.ven only a Trichoderma -infused food base supplement without conidial suspension g.ve a DSI of 70% whereas those g.ven a conidial soil drench without supplemental food base g.ve a DSI of 85% at 20 w.a.i. Infected plants g.ven a conidial treatment tog.ther with a food base supplement g.ve a DSI of 5%
