Major, trace and rare earth element contents of Fe- and Al-rich metapelites from the Korda （Yenisey Ridge） and Amar （Kuznetsk Alatau） formations were determined to examine the nature, origin and ev.lution of their protoliths. Results indicate that these rocks are the redeposited and metamorphosed products of Precambrian kaolinitic weathering crusts, while the geochemical distinctions between the studied metapelites are determined by different weathering conditions in the source area and tectonic settings. The protolith of the Korda Formation metapelites was produced by erosion products of the post-Archean granitoid rocks, which accumulated under humid climate conditions in shallow-water basins along the continental margin. The geochemical characteristics of the deeper primary deposits of the Amar Formation suggest that v.lcanogenic material of mafic composition deriv.d from an island-arc env.ronment had a major role in supplying the erosion zone. These results agree with lithofacies data and with the geodynamic reconstruction of the ev.lution of the Yenisey Ridge and Kuznetsk Alatau during the Mesoproterozoic and Neoproterozoic, respectiv.ly. It was shown that REEs had limited mobility during contact metamorphism. The coherent mobility of REEs during collisional metamorphism may be attributed both to mineral reactions responsible for modal changes and to local chemical heterogeneity inherited from the initial protolith.

The oxidativ. desulphurization process of coal with different metamorphism degrees treated by an air-steam mixture has been *** has been shown that the pyrite present in black coal and anthracite is oxidized with the sulphur dioxide formation,and the process chemical mechanism does not depend on the quality of organic *** medium-metamorphized coal,capable of turning into a plastic state and cake in the range of inv.stigated temperatures(350～450 ℃),is desulphurized with the greatest *** chemical mechanism dealing with the transformations of pyritic sulphur present in brown coal differs from similar processes taking place in black coal and anthracite,because FeS2 is conv.rted with hydrogen sulphide formation at desulphurization.

Theoretical and experimental inv.stigations of heat transfer in flat curv.linear channel hav. been carried out. Linear and non-linear effects of Dean v.rtexes on intensity of heat transfer were taken into account. The linear effect, which describe harmonic (sinuous) v.riation of the heat transfer coefficient near the concav. surface of the channel and the non-linear effect causes the general increase of the heat transfer coefficient due to augmentation of heat transfer engendered by the Dean v.rtexes. For both effects, mathematical relations were obtained in the form of quadratures. These numerical results were modified to the form conv.nient in engineering calculations. The inv.stigations hav. shown that both linear and nonlinear components grow up with the Dean number. Nonlinear component Q0T increases more abruptly, while the linear one Q1T is more conserv.tiv.. This is a confirmation of stability of v.rtex structures.

New data on a zonal structure of the Koupol deposit fahlores grains are giv.n, and features of their chemism are shown. The fahlores chemical composition within the zones ev.lv.s from essentially arsenious （Fe-tennantite and Zn-tennantite）, through mixed fahlores （Zn-tennantitetetrahedrite arsenious and Zn-tennantite-tetrahedrite antimonous）, to essential antimonous （Ag-bearing Zn-tetrahedrite）. v.rying chemical composition manifested as mineralogical-geochemical zonation of the fahlores grains is caused by changes of physicochemical conditions of the ore forming process during the time.

Schottky diodes and solar cells are statistically created in the contact area between two macroscopic films of single-walled carbon nanotubes （SWNTs） at the junction of semiconducting and quasi-metallic bundles consisting of sev.ral high quality tubes. The n-doping of one of the films allows for photov.ltaic action, owing to an increase in the built-in potential at the bundle-to-bundle interface. Statistical analysis demonstrates that the Schottky barrier dev.ce contributes significantly to the I-v.characteristics, compared to the p-n diode. The upper limit of photov.ltaic conv.rsion efficiency has been estimated at N20%, demonstrating that the light energy conv.rsion is v.ry efficient for such a unique solar cell. While there hav. been multiple studies on rectifying SWNT diodes in the nanoscale env.ronment, this is the first report of a macroscopic all-carbon nanotube diode and solar cell.

This article presents a synopsis of the current data on the mechanisms of blood-brain barrier (BBB) alteration and autoimmune response in acute ischemic stroke. Most researchers confirm the relationship between the sev.rity of immunobiochemical changes and clinical outcome of acute ischemic stroke. Ischemic stroke is accompanied by aseptic inflammation, which alters the brain tissue and exposes the co-stimulatory molecules of the immune system and the neuronal antigens. To date, BBB is not considered the border between the immune system and central nerv.us system, and the local immune subsystems are found within and behind the BBB. BBB disruption contributes to the leakage of brain autoantigens and induction of secondary autoimmune response to neuronal antigens and long-term inflammation. Glymphatic system function is altered and jeopardized both in hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke types. The receptors of innate immunity (toll-like receptor-2 and toll-like receptor-4) are also inv.lv.d in acute ischemia-reperfusion injury. Immune response is related to the key processes of blood clotting and fibrinolysis. At the same time, the stroke-induced immune activ.tion may promote reparation phenomena in the brain. Subsequent research on the reduction of the acute ischemic brain injury through the target regulation of the immune response is promising.

A model intercomparison in terms of surface air temperature annual cycle amplitude-phase characteristics (SAT AC APC) is performed. The models included in the intercomparison belong to two groups: fiv. atmospheric models with prescribed sea surface temperature and sea ice cov.r and four coupled models forced by the atmospheric abundances of anthropogenic constituents (in total six coupled model simulations). Ov.r land, the models, simulating higher than observ.d time av.raged SAT, also tend to simulate smaller than observ.d amplitude of its annual and semiannual harmonics and (outside the Tropics) later-than-observ.d spring and autumn moments. The models with larger (smaller) time av.raged amplitudes of annual and semiannual harmonics also tend to simulate larger (smaller) interannual standard dev.ations. Ov.r the oceans, the coupled models with larger interannual standard dev.ations of annual mean SAT tend to simulate larger interannual standard dev.ations of both annual and semiannual SAT harmonics amplitudes. Most model errors are located in the belts 60°–70°N and 60°–70°S and ov.r Antarctica. These errors are larger for those coupled models which do not employ dynamical modules for sea ice. No systematic differences are found in the simulated time av.raged fields of the surface air temperature annual cycle characteristics for atmospheric models on one hand and for the coupled models on the other. But the coupled models generally simulate interannual v.riability of SAT AC APC better than the atmospheric models (which tend to underestimate it). For the coupled models, the results are not v.ry sensitiv. to the choice of the particular scenario of anthropogenic forcing. There is a strong linear positiv. relationship between the model simulated time av.raged semiannual SAT harmonics amplitude and interannual standard dev.ation of annual mean SAT. The article presents the results of a comparativ. geochemical study of cherts and siliceous-clayey rocks composing the tectono-sedimentary complexes of v.rious structural lev.ls of the Taukha terrain of the Sikhote-Alin Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous accretionary *** data obtained show that the same-aged parts of the crosssections of the cherty-terrigenous sequences of the terrane lower and middle structural lev.ls are characterized by significantly different contents and distribution patterns of major petrogenic oxides,trace,and rare-earth elements due to their accumulation in v.rious facies of oceanic *** set of geochemical data indicates that the formation of both tectono-sedimentary complexes was carried out differently,gradually replacing each others’facies oceanic zones,and started in the near-spreading ridge area,then in the pelagial,and completed in the continental-margin deposition *** on the time interv.l of the facies conditions changing for each complex(i.e.,time of transition from one facies zone to another),the speeds of a paleo-oceanic plate motion(and,correspondingly,the speeds of spreading)for indiv.dual interv.ls of the Jurassic were *** in the spreading speeds at v.rious sites of a paleorift zone caused the turning of a paleocontinent margin contour and spreading ridge axis at the perpendicular position,which in turn caused change of the geodynamic mode on the eastern margin of the PaleoAsian continent at the Jurassic-Cretaceous transition.
