in this paper, a nonlinear mathematical model is presented for the transmission dynamics of HiV/AiDS in Cuba. Due to Cuba＇s highly successful national prevention program, we assume that the only mode of transmission is through contact with those yet to be diagnosed with HiV. We find the equilibria of the governing nonlinear system, perform a linear stability analysis, and then provide results on global stability.

Over the past decades,obesity has become an epidemic *** impacts health burdens heterogeneously by the regional distribution of fat,not total body fat *** studies reported that regional body fat distribution could represent a significant risk factor for insulin resistance(1),type 2 diabetes mellitus,and cardiovascular disease(2).Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)affects approximately a fourth of the population worldwide and has been linked with overweight/***,NAFLD can be seen in individuals without overweight/obesity,which is called lean *** has been shown that in terms of body fat distribution,visceral adipose tissue(VAT)has a stronger association with NAFLD and severity in NAFLD than subcutaneous adipose tissue(SAT)(3-6).

in this paper,we describe a study of charged particle yield as a function of pT for K^(*)(892)0 and phgr(1020)mesons in proton–proton(pp)and Pb–Pb collisions at√S_(NN)=2.76 TeV in the central rapidity region of|y|in a pT range of 0in pp collisions and in a pT range of 0in Pb-Pb *** also investigated a very important ratio,the nuclear modification factor,to study the effects of the medium in the most central region,i.e.0%–5%*** data simulation,we used the EPOS-LHC and EPOS-1.99 *** check the validity of these models'simulations,we compared the data obtained from these Monte Carlo simulation programs with ALiCE experimental data for√S_(NN)=2.76 *** was concluded that the models'predictions for the phgr-meson in pp and for the most central Pb-Pb collisions disagreed with the ALiCE data,and that the difference increased with *** may be connected with the essential role of collective parton behaviors which could not have been taken into account by the *** K^(*)0 mesons,both programs gave almost the same predictions,and with pT in the interval pT>3 GeV c^(−1),the predictions were very close to the experimental *** models gave higher predictions for the soft pT interval and lower predictions for the hard *** values of the RAA distributions were lower than unity and both models were very close to the ALiCE *** is very interesting that the models were not able to describe the pT distributions,but they gave good predictions for their *** may possibly be due to parton collective *** observed some additional suppression of K^(*)0 at low values of pT with respect to phgr-mesons,which may be related to the role of the masses of the particles in soft *** rising trend for R_(AA)in the region from pT=10 GeV c^(−1)to 20 GeV c^(−1) observed by the ALiCE experiment was absent for theФ-mesons.

BACKGROUND The treatment of late stages of Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease(LCPD)is *** the concept of femoral head containment is a well-established technique of treatment,its use remains debatable in the late stages of the disease,as it does not improve symptoms in terms of limb length discrepancy and *** To assess the results of subtrochanteric valgus osteotomy in symptomatic patients with late-stage Perthes *** From 2000 to 2007,36 symptomatic patients with late stage of Perthes disease were surgically treated with subtrochanteric valgus osteotomy and followed-up for 8 to 11 years using the iOWA score and range of motion(ROM)*** Mose classification was also assessed at the last follow-up to reflect possible *** patients were 8 years old or older at the time of surgery,in the post-fragmentation stage,and complaining of pain,limited ROM,Trendelenburg gait,and/or abductor *** The preoperative iOWA score(average:53.3)markedly improved at the 1-year post follow-up period(average:85.41)and then slightly improved at the last follow-up(average:89.4)(P valueimproved,with internal rotation increased on average by 22°(from 10°preoperatively to 32°postoperatively)and abduction increased on average by 15.9°(from 25°preoperatively to 41°postoperatively).The mean Mose deviation of femoral heads was 4.1 mm at the end of the follow-up *** tests used were the paired t-test and Pearson correlation test,where the level of significance was a P value less than *** Subtrochanteric valgus osteotomy can be a good option for symptomatic relief in patients with late-stage of LCPD.

Neuromorphic vision sensors have been extremely beneficial in developing energy-efficient intelligent systems for robotics and privacy-preserving security *** is a dire need for devices to mimic the retina's photoreceptors that encode the light illumination into a sequence of spikes to develop such ***,we develop a hybrid perovskite-based flexible photoreceptor whose capacitance changes proportionally to the light intensity mimicking the retina's rod cells,paving the way for developing an efficient artificial retina *** proposed device constitutes a hybrid nanocomposite of perovskites(methyl-ammonium lead bromide)and the ferroelectric terpolymer(polyvinylidene fluoride trifluoroethylene-chlorofluoroethylene).A metal-insulator-metal type capacitor with the prepared composite exhibits the unique and photosensitive capacitive behavior at various light intensities in the visible light *** proposed photoreceptor mimics the spectral sensitivity curve of human photopic *** hybrid nanocomposite is stable in ambient air for 129 weeks,with no observable degradation of the composite due to the encapsulation of hybrid perovskites in the hydrophobic *** functionality of the proposed photoreceptor to recognize handwritten digits(MNiST)dataset using an unsupervised trained spiking neural network with 72.05%recognition accuracy is *** demonstration proves the potential of the proposed sensor for neuromorphic vision applications.
