Corrosion test data were measured using non-destructive electrochemical techniques and analysed for studying inhibition effectiveness by different concentrations of NazCr207 on the corrosion of concrete steel-rehar in NaC1 and in H2SO4 media. For these, specifications of ASTM G16-95 R04 were combined with the normal and the Gumbel probability density functions as model analytical methods for addressing issues of conflicting reports of inhibitor effectiveness that had generated concerns. Results show that reinforced concrete samples admixed with concentrations having 4 g （0.012 7 tool）, 8 g （0.025 4 mol） and 6 g （0.019 l tool） NaaCr207 exhibited, in that order, high inhibition effectiveness, with respective efficiency, r/, of （90.46±1.30）%, （88.41＋2.24）% and （84.87±4.74）%, in the NaC1 medium. These exhibit good agreements within replicates and statistical methods for the samples. Also, optimal inhibition effectiveness model in the H2SO4 medium was exhibited by 8 g （0.025 4 mol） Na2Cr207 concentration having r/=（78.44±1.10）%. These bear implications for addressing conflicting test data in the study of effective inhibitors for mitigating steel-rebar corrosion in aggressive environments.

A variety of indications have been published regarding the use of percutaneous thermal ablation for treating tumors of the musculoskeletal system,including bone and soft tissue lesions,benign and malignant lesions,and primary and metastatic *** the appropriately selected patient,the advantages of percutaneous thermal ablation include decreased morbidity,decreased cost,and shorter hospitalization stays compared to *** number of different thermal ablation modalities is increasing,and each modality has its advantages and *** directly comparing the effectiveness of the various thermal ablation modalities are sparse,however,so the choice of ablation modality often depends on availability,user preference,and local *** the list of uses for percutaneous thermal ablation is ever-expanding,in this article,we will discuss the two most well-established indications,which are palliation of pain attributed to bone and soft tissue metastases and local control of oligometastatic *** clinical trials have shown percutaneous thermal ablation to be an effective method of palliating pain due to bone and soft tissue metastases and of achieving local control in the setting of oligometastatic disease with low rates of complication.

in higher plants, the preprophase band （PPB） of microtubules （MTs） forecasts the cell division site prior to mitosis and specifies the organization of MTs into a bipolar prophase spindle surrounding the nucleus. However, the mechanisms governing this PPB-dependent establishment of bipolarity are unclear. Here, we present evidence from live cell imaging studies that suggest a role for the MTs bridging the PPB and the prophase nucleus in mediating this function. Results from drug treatments, along with genetic evidence from null kinesin plants, suggest that these MTs contribute to the bipolarity, orientation, and position of the prophase spindle. Specifically, the absence of these bridge MTs is associated with lack of bipolarity, while non-uniform distributions of bridge MTs correlate with prophase spindle migration, deformation, and enhanced bipolarity toward the region of highest bridge MT density. This behavior does not require actomyosin-based forces, and is enhanced by suppressing MT dynamics with taxol. These observations occur during late prophase, and are coincident with the gradual closing of annular spindle poles. Based on these data, we describe a hypothetical mechanism for bridge MT-dependent organization of prophase spindles.

Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** *** a plant extensively used in traditional ***,a synopsis of the research on various aspects of Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** *** *** electronic literature review revealed that formulations containing Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** *** used to manage and treat diabetes,eye problems,malaria,snake envenomation,malignancies,as well as venereal,gastrointestinal,reproductive,respiratory,dermatological,and odonatological *** date,90 compounds have been isolated and characterized from extracts of Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** *** extracts and isolated compounds from Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** *** anti-inflammatory,antimicrobial,antioxidant,antiplasmodial,antiproliferative,anti-human immunodeficiency virus-1,antimycobacterial,antihypertensive,and antidiabetic *** bioactivities can be attributed to alkaloids,coumarins,limonoids,and phenylpropanoids present in different parts of the *** some studies have indicated moderate toxicity of the extracts,some of the dominant compounds in this species,such as estragole and carbazole alkaloids,are mutagenic or cytotoxic.A clinical trial utilizing a Ghanaian herbal formulation containing Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** *** found to be effective in reducing pain associated with *** progress to date supports the traditional use of this species in herbal ***,these studies do not explain the relationships between traditional uses,pharmacological activities,and mechanisms of ***,further studies should be designed to understand the biochemical properties and physiological effects of Clausena anisata(Willd.)*** ***,facilitating the development and utilization of this medicinal resource.

Associating phenotypic traits and quantitative trait loci （QTL） to causative regions of the underlying genome is a key goal in agricultural research. interStoreDB is a suite of integrated databases designed to assist in this process. The individual databases are species independent and generic in design, providing access to curated datasets relating to plant populations, phenotypic traits, genetic maps, marker loci and QTL, with links to functional gene annotation and genomic sequence data. Each component database provides access to associated metadata, including data provenance and parameters used in analyses, thus providing users with information to evaluate the relative worth of any associations identified. The databases include CropStoreDB, for management of population, genetic map, QTL and trait measurement data, SeqStoreDB for sequence-related data and AlignStoreDB, which stores sequence alignment information, and allows navigation between genetic and genomic datasets. Genetic maps are visualized and compared using the CMAP tool, and functional annotation from sequenced genomes is provided via an EnsEMBL-based genome browser. This framework facilitates navigation of the multiple biological domains involved in genetics and genomics research in a transparent manner within a single portal. Background:Sexually transmitted infections(STis)are responsible for a high burden of morbidity and mortality in many developing countries especially among *** are predisposed to STis because they are more likely to engage in unhealthy ***,these adolescents have limited knowledge of the use and barriers to sexual and reproductive health information and care *** study explored the knowledge of STis among Senior High School Adolescents in the Wa Municipality of ***:The study designed as a descriptive cross-sectional research.A multistage sampling technique was used to recruit these adolescents for the *** 355 adolescents were selected from senior high schools in the Wa *** statistics and Chi-square test were used to analyze the data,at a significance level ofPjority of respondents had good knowledge of STis,with the most common examples of STis identified as HiV/AiDS(80.8%,287/355)and gonorrhea(73.8%,262/355).The main known signs and symptoms identified were discharges from the penis/vagina(72.4%,257/355),painful urination(71.5%,254/355),and itching,and sores around the genital area(72.7%,258/355).The main sources of information/education of STis for these adolescents were the school,hospital,internet and *** respondent lived with was found to be significantly associated with knowledge of STi(Pion:Many of the respondents had good knowledge of STi,and the school was the most common source of information on STL it is,therefore,important for the Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Health Service to strengthen the School Health Education Programme in second cycle institutions in the Wa ***,especially mothers,should be actively involved in the sexual health education of adolescents.

Objective:To investigate the modulating role of methanol extract of Tephrosia vogelii leaves on acetylcholine(ACh)-induced contraction of isolated rabbit ***: Rabbit jejunum segment was removed and placed in an organ bath containing Tyrode's solution, and its contractions were recorded ***: ACh(2.0 × 10-10 g/m L) and the extract(2.0 × 10-4 g/m L) individually increased the frequency of contraction(mean ± SEM) of the isolated smooth muscle tissue by 47.6% ± 9.5% and 77.8% ± 66.5%, respectively. When ACh and the extract were combined, the frequency of contraction of the tissue was increased by 222.2% ± 25.9%, representing a 366.7% increase(P imilarly, ACh(2.0 × 10-9 g/m L) and the extract individually increased significantly(P itude of contraction of the tissue by 685.7% ± 61.1% and 455.2% ± 38.1%, respectively. When ACh and the extract were combined, the amplitude of contraction of the tissue rose by 1263.8% ± 69.0%, representing 84.3% increase over the ef ect of ACh alone. Conclusions: The findings demonstrate that methanol extract of Tephrosia vogelii leaves potentiates the contractile ef ect of ACh on intestinal smooth muscle, supporting the traditional claim that the plant is purgative.

Previous study has shown that during zygomorphic development in garden pea （Pisum sativum L.）, the organ internal （iN） asymmetry of lateral and ventral petals was regulated by a genetic locus, SYMMETRiC PETAL 1 （SYP1）, while the dorsoventral （DV） asymmetry was determined by two CYC-like TCP genes or the PsCYC genes, KEELED WiNGS （K） and LOBED STANDARD 1 （LST1）. in this study, two novel loci, ELEPHANT EAR-LiKE LEAF 1 （ELE1） and ELE2 were characterized. These mutants exhibit a similar defect of iN asymmetry as syp1 in lateral and ventral petals, but also display pleiotropic effects of enlarged organ size. Genetic analysis showed that ELE1 and ELE2 were involved in same genetic pathway and the enlarged size of petals but not compound leaves in e/e2 was suppressed by introducing k and ist1, indicating that the enlargement of dorsal petal in e/e2 requires the activities of K and LST1. An experimental framework of comparative genomic mapping approach was set up to map and clone LjELE1 locus in Lotus japonicus. Cloning the ELE1 gene will shed light on the underlying molecular mechanism during zygomorphic development and further provide the molecular basis for genetic improvement on legume crops.
