Clinical significance of peripheral blood UL16 and DR-70 for the early diagnosis and prognostic evaluation of colorectal cancer

BACKGROUND Early diagnosis of colorectal cancer(CRC)is of great significance to improve the survival rate and quality of life of patients,but early diagnosis of CRC requires more sensitive *** blood UL16-binding protein 2(ULBP2)and human fibrinogen degradation products(DR-70)are the main indicators for the diagnosis of malignant *** To assess ULBP2 and DR-70 potential for the early diagnosis and prognostic evaluation of CRC to provide a *** This study involved 60 patients with early-stage CRC(CRC group),50 patients with benign colorectal tumors(benign group),and 50 healthy patients(control group)enrolled at the Affiliated Hospital of Jiangnan University and Jiangsu Province Official Hospital between January,2020 and January,***2 and DR-70 levels in the blood were determined and differences among the three groups and early diagnostic values for CRC were *** with CRC were divided into the good prognosis and poor prognosis groups,and ULBP2 and DR-70 levels in the blood and diagnostic values were *** ULBP2 and DR-70 serum levels were significantly higher in the CRC group than in the control and benign groups(Pignificant differences were observed between the benign and control groups(P>0.05).Among the 60 patients with CRC followed up for two years,two died(3.33%)and 15 exhibited tumor metastasis,progression,or recurrence(25.00%).ULBP2 and DR-70 serum levels were significantly higher in the poor prognosis group than in the good prognosis group(Piver operating characteristic curve was *** under the curve,sensitivity,and specificity of serum ULBP2 with DR-70 for the early diagnosis of CRC were higher than those of the single serum indices(Pin both the good and poor prognosis *** ULBP2 and DR-70 serum levels were significantly high in patients with early-stage *** improved the diagnostic rate of early-stage CRC and predicted patient prog

Effect of different bottom blowing elements on stirring characteristics of molten bath in converter

The bottom blowing element is the key equipment to ensure the bottom blowing effect of the *** types of bottom blowing elements,dispersive type(D1),double circular seam(D2)and straight cylinder type(D3),were built,and the effects of bottom blowing element type on molten bath flow,wall erosion and furnace bottom erosion were *** was found that when the bottom blowing elements of dispersive type(D1)and double circular seam(D2)were used,the dead zone area in the lower part of the molten bath was smaller,and the high-speed zone area was larger;therefore,the stirring effect on the bottom melt was *** the straight cylinder type(D3)bottom blowing element was used,the gas penetrated the molten bath at a faster rate to reach the surface of molten bath and failed to disperse in the bottom molten bath,and the wall shear stress near the nozzle outlet was *** argon was blown by three different bottom blowing elements,the area of the wall shear stress greater than 3 Pa was 4.8,5.6 and 8.7 cm2,respectively,within 0.2 m of the bottom blowing nozzle outlet.

Architecture Design of Protocol Controller Based on Traffic-Driven Software Defined interconnection

To solve the problems of redundant logic resources and poor scalability in protocol controller circuits among communication networks, we propose a traffic-driven software defined interconnection(TSDi) *** unified software defined interconnection interface standards and the normalized interconnection topology are designed to implement the architecture of TSDi-based protocol controller. The key indicators of power, performance and area(PPA) can be realized while resolving the flexible interconnection of the controller. We designed a TSDi-based Rapid iO controller as an example. Compared to traditional designs, the design could achieve more protocol scalability,and Rapid iO protocol standards of Gen4 could be supported directly. The key PPA indicators, such as a lower delay of 56.1 ns and more than twice throughput of 98.1 Gbps, were achieved at the cost of a 23.4% area increase.

Thermally Conductive,Healable Glass Fiber Cloth Reinforced Polymer Composite based onβ-Hydroxyester Bonds Crosslinked Epoxy with improved Heat Resistance

To simultaneously endow thermal conductivity,high glass transition temperature(Tg)and healing capability to glass fiber/epoxy(GFREP)composite,dynamic crosslinked epoxy resin bearing reversibleβ-hydroxyl ester bonds was reinforced with boron nitride nanosheets modified glass fiber cloth(GFC@BNNSs).The in-plane heat conduction paths were constructed by electrostatic self-assembly of polyacrylic acid treated GFC and polyethyleneimine decorated ***,the GFC@BNNSs were impregnated with the mixture of lower concentration(3-glycidyloxypropyl)trimethoxysilane grafted BN micron sheets,3,4-epoxycyclohexylmethyl 3,4-epoxycyclohexanecarboxylate and hexahydro-4-methylphthalic anhydride,which accounted for establishing the through-plane heat transport pathways and avoiding serious deterioration of mechanical *** resultant GFREP composite containing less boron nitride particles(17.6 wt%)exhibited superior in-plane(3.29 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1))and through-plane(1.16 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1))thermal conductivities,as well as high Tg of 204℃(Tg of the unfilled epoxy=177℃).The reversible transesterification reaction enabled closure of interlaminar cracks within the composite,achieving decent healing efficiencies estimated by means of tensile strength(71.2%),electrical breakdown strength(83.6%)and thermal conductivity(69.1%).The present work overcame the disadvantages of conventional thermally conductive composites,and provided an efficient approach to prolong the life span of thermally conductive GFREP laminate for high-temperature resistant integrated circuit application.

Conductive fibers(CFs)with features of high conductivity,stretchability,self-healability,and electromechanical stability are key components of the increasingly popular wearable ***,since the lack of structural design of conductive network and interfacial interaction between soft polymer and conductive additives,it is still hard to enable CFs to meet above ***,we describe a facial drawing method from a hydrogel reservoir which is remolded into ultrathin and stretchable CFs with excellent multi-responsive *** hydrogel reservoir was fabricated in synergy of an ice-templating method and in situ polymerization using the assembled framework as a *** on the effective fabrication mechanism,the diameter of CFs could be well-tuned from 90 to 400μm by adjusting the dipping depth of the glass rod,accompanied with conductivity increased from 0.75 to 2.5 S/*** the hierarchical network structure was well maintained in the CFs,professional performances have been proved on the stretchability and electromechanical *** presence of massive hydrogen bonding and Ag–S bond enabled the CFs with excellent self-healability under the conditions of contact,electric field,and near infrared light,***,the CFs with high sensing property could be integrated into an advanced textile sensor through an effective healing-induced integration strategy,demonstrating its great potentials as superior two-dimensional(2D)electronic skins.

Single-atom catalysts (SACs) have garnered extensive attention in the field of catalysis due to their exceptional inherent reaction activity, optimal utilization of metal atoms, etc. Controlled synthesis plays a crucial role in elucidating the structure-activity relationship of SACs. This paper reviews various synthetic strategies for SACs, encompassing defect engineering, metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) pyrolysis, and ion exchange. With specific examples, the significance of constructing catalysts at the atomic level is discussed, aiming to comprehensively understand the synthetic strategies of SACs. Finally, it addresses the challenges and prospects associated with controlled synthesis techniques for SACs as well as their future applications.

Noninvasive Diagnostic Technique for Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Based on Features of Tongue images

Objective:To investigate a new noninvasive diagnostic model for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) based on features of tongue ***:Healthy controls and volunteers confirmed to have NAFLD by liver ultrasound were recruited from China-Japan Friendship Hospital between September 2018 and May 2019,then the anthropometric indexes and sampled tongue images were *** tongue images were labeled by features,based on a brief protocol,without knowing any other clinical data,after a series of corrections and data *** algorithm was trained on images using labels and several anthropometric indexes for inputs,utilizing machine learning ***,a logistic regression algorithm and a decision tree model were constructed as 2 diagnostic models for ***:A total of 720 subjects were enrolled in this study,including 432 patients with NAFLD and 288 healthy *** them,482 were randomly allocated into the training set and 238 into the validation *** diagnostic model based on logistic regression exhibited excellent performance:in validation set,it achieved an accuracy of 86.98%,sensitivity of 91.43%,and specificity of 80.61%;with an area under the curve(AUC) of 0.93 [95% confidence interval(Ci) 0.68–0.98].The decision tree model achieved an accuracy of 81.09%,sensitivity of 91.43%,and specificity of 66.33%;with an AUC of 0.89(95% Ci 0.66–0.92) in validation ***:The features of tongue images were associated with *** the 2 diagnostic models,which would be convenient,noninvasive,lightweight,rapid,and inexpensive technical references for early screening,can accurately distinguish NAFLD and are worth further study.

Alumina–spinel refractories used in slit-type purging plugs are susceptible to cross-sectional damage,resulting in a serious mismatch between their service life and that of ***–calcium hexaluminate refractories have gradually become the new trend in purging plug materials with the development of refining *** thermomechanical damage of slit-type purging plugs with alumina–calcium hexaluminate refractory was investigated by the thermo-solid coupling *** with the polynomial fitting and design of experiments methods,the influence of thermophysical parameters on temperature and thermal stress of alumina–calcium hexaluminate refractories for purging plugs was systematically *** results show that the maximum thermal stress of the purging plugs appears during the stages of steel transporting and stirring,and the vulnerable parts are located above Y=0.323 *** thermal conductivity and the coefficient of thermal expansion of the material are the most sensitive parameters to the temperature and thermal stress inside the structure,*** addition of more calcium hexaluminate can relieve the stress concentration and large deformation around the ***,when the content of calcium hexaluminate is 47 wt.%and in the form of aggregate-binder,the temperature and thermal stress distribution inside the refractory are optimal,which can effectively improve the service life of the slit-type purging plug.
