The role of glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta in brain injury induced by myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in a rat model of diabetes mellitus

Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury can lead to severe brain *** synthase kinase 3 beta is known to be involved in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury and diabetes ***,the precise role of glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta in myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury-induced brain injury is *** this study,we observed the effects of glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta on brain injury induced by myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in diabetic *** models of diabetes mellitus were generated via intraperitoneal injection of *** of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury were generated by occluding the anterior descending branch of the left coronary ***-conditioning comprised three cycles of ischemia/*** staining and western blot assays demonstrated that after 48 hours of reperfusion,the structure of the brain was seriously damaged in the experimental rats compared with normal *** of Bax,interleukin-6,interleukin-8,terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase d UTP nick end labeling,and cleaved caspase-3 in the brain was significantly increased,while expression of Bcl-2,interleukin-10,and phospho-glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta was *** mellitus can aggravate inflammatory reactions and *** post-conditioning with glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta inhibitor lithium chloride can effectively reverse these *** results showed that myocardial ischemic post-conditioning attenuated myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury-induced brain injury by activating glycogen synthase kinase 3 *** to these results,glycogen synthase kinase 3 beta appears to be an important factor in brain injury induced by myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury.

Random forest-based prediction of decay modes and half-lives of superheavy nuclei

Information on the decay process of nuclides in the superheavy region is critical in investigating new elements beyond oganesson and the island of *** paper presents the application of a random forest algorithm to examine the competition among different decay modes in the superheavy region,includingα decay,β^(-)decay,β^(+)decay,electron capture and spontaneous *** observed half-lives and dominant decay mode are well *** dominant decay mode of 96.9%of the nuclei beyond ^(212) Po is correctly ***,α decay is predicted to be the dominant decay mode for isotopes in new elements Z=119-122,except for spontaneous fission in certain even–even elements owing to the increased Coulomb repulsion and odd–even *** predicted half-lives demonstrate the existence of a long-lived spontaneous fission island southwest of ^(298) Fl caused by the competition between the fission barrier and Coulomb repulsion.A better understanding of spontaneous fission,particularly beyond ^(286)Fl,is crucial in the search for new elements and the island of stability.

Kinetics of color degradation of chestnut kernel during thermal treatment and storage

Thermal treatments are commonly used for disinfesting chestnuts before *** is a first and sensitive quality attribute of chestnuts after thermal treatments and *** purpose of this study was to investigate L*and b*values in chestnuts during thermal treatment at 50-70°C for periods varying from 0 to 160 min,and during storage at 3°C for 5 months using a computer vision system(CVS).Results showed that the L*and b*values decreased with increasing temperature,and heating or storage *** first-order reaction model showed a better fit for the L*and b*values than zero-order reaction model with coefficients of determination(R2)ranging from 0.923 to 0.977 during the thermal treatment and *** activation energies of chestnuts were 287.19 and 347.48 kJ/mol during thermal treatments and 89.18 and 78.47 kJ/mol during storage for L*and b*values,respectively,suggesting that the yellowness(b*)was more sensitive to temperature changes than the lightness(L*).According to requirements of L*>50,a potential disinfestation treatment protocol could be developed for chestnuts at 52-62°C.

Preparation and characterization of enzyme-responsive zwitterionic nanoparticles for monoclonal antibody delivery

Monoclonal antibodies have been used in many diseases,but how to improve their delivery efficiency is still a key *** the modification of zwitterionic polymers can maintain the stability and biological activity of monoclonal antibodies,in this study,zwitterionic monomers,sulfobetaine methacrylate(SBMA),and 3-[[2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]dimethylammonio]propionate(CBMA)were used to prepare monoclonal antibody-loaded zwitterionic nanoparticles with the aid of the crosslinker of MMP-2 enzyme-responsive peptide which was a rapid synthesis process under mild *** results from dynamic light scattering(DLS),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)indicated that a series of zwitterionic nanoparticles had been successfully prepared by the in situ free radical polymerization using the MMP-2 enzyme-responsive peptide as the cross-linking *** nanoparticles were spherical with the sizes of(18.7±1.9)nm(SBMA nanoparticle)and(18.2±2.1)nm(CBMA nanoparticle),and the surface contained zwitterionic *** was revealed that they had no cytotoxicity,could be released in tumor microenvironment by enzyme to inhibit the growth of tumor cells,and was able to effectively penetrate endothelial cells(>2%)by ***,the development of this strategy has a great prospect for the delivery of monoclonal antibodies.

In this paper,we consider the P-prize-collecting set cover(P-PCSC)problem,which is a generalization of the set cover *** this problem,we are given a set system(U,S),where U is a ground set and S⊆2U is a collection of subsets satisfying∪S∈SS=*** subset in S has a nonnegative cost,and every element in U has a nonnegative penalty cost and a nonnegative *** goal is to find a subcollection C⊆S such that the total cost,consisting of the cost of subsets in C and the penalty cost of the elements not covered by C,is minimized and at the same time the combined profit of the elements covered by C is at least P,a specified profit *** main work is to obtain a 2f+ε-approximation algorithm for the P-PCSC problem by using the primal-dual and Lagrangian relaxation methods,where f is the maximum frequency of an element in the given set system(U,S)andεis a fixed positive number.

为了对淤泥和建筑垃圾进行处置,实现二者的共同资源化利用,在室内和现场分别对淤泥进行固化试验。将建筑垃圾作为骨料按淤泥质量比的15%添加到淤泥中,再向淤泥中加入淤泥固化剂,通过机械搅拌的方式将淤泥与建筑垃圾、固化剂混合均匀,然后对固化土进行养护。室内试验结果表明,当固化剂掺量为8%时,固化淤泥土强度较高,养护28 d后,室内无侧限抗压强度可达320 kPa;在现场试验中,静力触探试验和平板荷载试验表明,固化剂对淤泥的固化效果明显。将低剂量固化剂添加到淤泥中,固化淤泥土强度较低,骨料的架构作用不明显;当固化剂掺量为8%时,固化土的强度较高,骨料的架构作用有利于提升固化淤泥土的承载力,土体的承载力特征值可达325kPa,架构作用对固化淤泥土强度的提升率为71.05%,可实现淤泥和建筑垃圾的同步资源化利用。

Consensus of Second-Order Multi-Agent Systems with Time-Varying Delays and Antagonistic Interactions

This study investigates the consensus problem of second-order multi-agent systems subject to time- varying interval-like delays. The notion of consensus is extended to networks containing antagonistic interactions modeled by negative weights on the communication graph. A unified framework is established to address both the stationary and dynamic consensus issues in sampled-data settings. Using the reciprocally convex approach, a sufficient condition for consensus is derived in terms of matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed result.

The Impact of Accounting Information Quality on Corporate Labor Investment Efficiency:Evidence from China

As an important part of the enterprise information system,accounting information plays a significant role in enterprise management decision-making,This study investigates the impact of accounting information quality on corporate labor investment *** a sample of Chinese listed firms,we show that higher accounting information quality is associated with higher labor investment efficiency(i.e.,a lower deviation of labor investment from the expected employment level justified by economic fundamentals).Firms with higher accounting information quality reduce underinvestment and overinvestment in labor by alleviating financial constraints and agency ***-sectional tests indicate that this effect is more pronounced among non-state-owned enterprises and firms with higher labor adjustment *** robustness test shows that our results are robust to alternative proxies,endogeneity concerns,and controls for non-labor *** study sheds light on how enterprise information systems influence management decision-making practices from the perspective of accounting information quality.
