h.lf-metallic ferromagnetism,mech.nical as well as th.rmoelectric properties for rare earth.based spinels Mgh._(2)Z_(4)(Z=S,Se)were investigated using density functional th.ory(DFT).Structural optimization was done with.Perdew-Burke-Eh.enzorf(PBE)sol-generalized gradient approximation(GGA)to calculate th. lattice constant of both.spinels comparable to experimental *** addition,Born stability criteria and negative formation energy sh.w th.t our studied spinels are also structurally and dynamically stable in th. cubic *** ferromagnetic(FM)state stability,we also calculated th. energy differences among FM,antiferromagnetic(AFM),and non-magnetic(NM)***,Curie temperatures of ferromagnetic ph.ses were also *** used Trans-Blah. improved BeckeJoh.son(TB-mBJ)potential functional for electronics as well as magnetic ch.racteristics,wh.ch.lead to th. consistent explanation of h.lf-metallic ferromagnetism,representing th. wh.le band-occupancy in material with.exact detail of density of states(DOS).Th. stable FM state was examined in spinels due to th. exch.nge splitting of h. cation consisting of p-d h.bridizations compatible with.th. result ach.eved for electronics band structure and ***,spin magnetic moment was explained in terms of anion,cation,and sh.ring ch.rge on studied *** addition,th. calculated th.rmoelectric properties clearly sh.w th.t operation range of th.se systems may be utilized by future experimental works for identifying th. potential applications of th.se systems.

Dynamic operating envelopes(DOEs),as key enablers to facilitate distributed energy resource(DER)integration,h.ve attracted increasing attention in th. past ***,uncertainties,wh.ch.may come from load forecasting errors or inaccurate network parameters,h.ve been rarely discussed in DOE calculation,leading to compromised quality of th. h.sting capacity allocation *** letter studies h.w to calculate DOEs th.t are immune to such.uncertainties based on a linearised unbalanced th.ee-ph.se optimal power flow(UTOPF)*** uncertain parameters constrained by norm balls,formulations for calculating robust DOEs(RDOEs)are presented along with.discussions on th.ir *** cases,including a 2-bus illustrative network and a representative Australian network,are tested to demonstrate th. effectiveness and efficiency of th. proposed approach.

In th.s study,a two-step meth.d was used to synth.size h.gh.y luminescent AgGaS/ZnS/ZnS quantum dots(QDs).In th. first step,an inner ZnS sh.ll was formed via a one-pot meth.d,wh.ch.resulted in a smaller lattice mismatch.between th. AgGaS core and th. outer ZnS sh.ll,th.reby facilitating th. formation of a th.ck outer *** th. two-step sh.lling process,th. synth.sized AgGaS/ZnS/ZnS QDs sh.wed an excellent ph.toluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 96.4%with.a peak wavelength.of 508 nm,repre-senting th. h.gh.st PLQY reported th.s far for AgGaS ***,th. effect of h.logen ions in Zn precursors on th. sh.lling process was *** was proposed th.t th. capacity of h.logen ions to coordinate with.th. QDs influenced th. balance between Zn cation diffusion and ZnS sh.lling ***,th. ZnS sh.lling reaction was dominant wh.n ZnCl_(2)was employed,wh.le Zn cation diffusion was th. dominant process under th. CT Th.esh.lds for Spinal Bone Mineral Attenuation to Prioritize Eligible Older Women for Osteoporosis Screening

Introduction: Computed tomograph. (CT) measurements of bone mineral attenuation may be a useful means to identify older women wh. sh.uld be prioritized for bone mineral density screening. Meth.ds: We compared bone mineral attenuation as measured in th. L1 vertebra of CT studies to th. results of dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) studies to determine wh.t CT attenuation th.esh.lds migh. yield a reasonable combination of sensitivity and specificity for th. detection of osteoporosis. Th. study was limited to women between th. ages of 65 and 75 years wh. h.d a DEXA study and a CT th.t included th. L1 or adjacent vertebra performed with.n 3 years of th. DEXA study. Results: Th.re were 1226 women in th.s study, of wh.m 452 (38%) h.d osteoporosis based on a T-score ≤ −2.5 by DEXA. Th.re were 830 CT studies performed with.contrast and 396 studies wh.ch.were performed with.ut contrast. Th.re was a statistically significant difference in th. mean h. of th.se studies performed with.ut contrast compared to th.se with.contrast (unenh.nced mean 103 h. versus 125 h., p h.esh.lds provided th. most appropriate combination of sensitivity and specificity for th. detection of osteoporosis wh.n comparing CT studies performed with.ut or with.IV contrast and wh.n all th. CT data were used in aggregate. Conclusion: Different th.esh.lds appear necessary wh.n using th. mean CT vertebral attenuation to identify older women for preferential referral for DEXA studies.

Influence of Confined Concrete Models on th. Seismic Response of RC Frames

In th.s study, th. influence of confined concrete models on th. response of reinforced concrete structures is investigatedat member and global system levels. Th. commonly encountered concrete models such.as Modified Kent-Park, Saatçioğlu-Razvi, and Mander are considered. Two moment-resisting frames designed according to th.pre-modern code are taken into consideration to reflect th. example of an RC moment-resisting frame in th.current building stock. Th. building is in an earth.uake-prone zone located on Z3 Soil Type. Th. inelasticresponse of th. building frame is modelled by considering th. plastic h.nges formed on each.beam and columnelement for different concrete classes and stirrups spacings. Th. models are subjected to non-linear static *** differences between confined concrete models are comparatively investigated at both.reinforced concretemember and system levels. Based on th. results of th. comparative analysis, it is revealed th.t th. column beh.viouris mostly influenced by th. ch.ice of model, due to axial loads and confinement effects, wh.le th. beams areless affected, and also it is observed th.t th. differences exh.bited in th. moment-curvature response of columncross-sections do not significantly affect th. overall beh.viour of th. global system. Th.s h.gh.igh.s th. critical roleof model selection relative to th. concrete strength.and stirrup spacing of th. member.
