Distribution of Chancelloriids in a Middle Cambrian Carbonate Platform Deposit, Taebaek Group, Korea

The onset of the Cambrian witnessed the diversification of ＂small shelly fossils （SSF）＂, which affected carbonate depositional system. One of the problematic SSF, chancelloriids, are common components of the early to middle Cambrian carbonate and shale, and their contributions toward Cambrian carbonates are not yet fully understood. This study assesses distribution patterns of chancelloriid sclerites in the Cambrian Series 3 Daegi Formation based on microfacies analysis and discusses their sedimentologic implications. In the lower part of the formation, partially articulated chancelloriid sclerites occur mainly in bioclastic packstone and grainstone facies, with isolated sclerite rays in nodular packstone to grainstone facies. In the middle part of the formation, chancelloriid fragments occur only sporadically in bioclastic wackestone to packstone, bioclastic grainstone and oolitic packstone to grainstone facies, whereas boundstone facies are nearly devoid of their fragments. There are no chancelloriid fragments in the upper part of the formation, which consists of oolitic packstone to grainstone facies. Chancelloriids are interpreted to have primarily occupied platform margin shoal environments, shedding their sclerites to surrounding areas, and thus contributed as sediment producers. The distribution of Daegi chancelloriid sclerites is similar to other Cambrian examples, with the exception of common chancelloriids in Cambrian Series 2 reefs and their apparent near absence in the Daegi and other Cambrian Series 3 reefs. This disparity resulted from changes in the ecologic niche of chancelloriids after the end-Cambrian Series 2 reef crisis, coupled with an overall decline of chancelloriids in the middle Cambrian.

Reefs in the Early Paleozoic Taebaek Group,Korea:A Review

Various early Paleozoic （Cambrian Series 3-Middle Ordovician） reefs are found in the Taebaek Group, eastern Korea, located in the eastern margin of the Sino-Korean Block. They occur in every carbonate-dominant lithostratigraphic unit of the group, but their morphology and composition differ markedly. The Daegi Formation （middle Cambrian： Cambrian Series 3） contains siliceous sponge-Epiphyton reefs formed in a shallow subtidal environment, which is one of the earliest metazoan-bearing microbial reefs after the archaeocyath extinction. The Hwajeol Formation （upper Cambrian： Furongian） encloses sporadic dendrolites consisting of Angulocellularia, which developed in a relatively deep subtidal environment, representing a rare deeper water example. The onset of the Ordovician radiation resulted in the formation of microbialite-Archaeoscyphia-calathiid patch reefs in shallow subtidal deposits of the Lower Ordovician Dumugol Formation. Subsequent late Early Ordovician relative sea-level fall established extensive peritidal environments, forming microbial mats and stromatolites of the Lower-Middle Ordovician Makgol Formation. Ensuing Ordovician radiation resulted in one of the earliest metazoan skeletal reefs of the Middle Ordovician Duwibong Formation, constructed by stromatoporoid Cystostroma and bryozoan Nicholsonella, and developed around shallow shoals. These reefs reflect ongoing evolution and sea-level change during the early Paleozoic, and exemplify a rare glimpse of peri-Gondwanan records of reef evolution, which warrant detailed investigations and comparison with their counterparts in other regions.

Cambrian Stem-group Cnidarians with a New Species from the Cambrian Series 3 of the Taebaeksan Basin, Korea

Five species, Lipopora lissa Jell and Jell, 1976, Lipopora daseia Jell and Jell, 1976, Tretocylichne perplexa Engeibretsen, 1993 from Australia, Cambroctoconus orientalis Park, Woo, Lee, Lee, Lee, Han and Chough, 2011 from China, and Cambroctoconus kyrgyzstanicus Peel, 2014 from Kyrgyzstan, belonging to the Cambrian stem-group cnidarians have been documented in the fossil record. Cambroctoconus coreaensis sp. nov., interpreted here as a stem-group cnidarian, from the Seokgaejae section in the Daegi Formation, Taebaek Group （Cambrian Series 3）, Taebaeksan Basin, central-eastern Korean Peninsula, has a slender cup-shaped skeleton. A cladistic analysis produced 21 most parsimonious trees, which invariably placed the six stem-group cnidarians below the crown-group, but their relationships within the stem-group are unresolved. Nine out of the 21 trees suggest a monophyletic relationship for the Cambrian stem-group cnidarians, whereas in six other trees a monophyly of Cambroctoconus and Tretocylichne appeared as the sister-group to the crown-group cnidarians with Lipopora at the most basal branch. This result may reflect the fact that crown-group cnidarians evolved in the Precambrian, and suggests that the diversity of stem-group cnidarians was a result of an independent radiation in the Cambrian.

Functional genomics in the rice blast fungus to unravel the fungal pathogenicity

A rapidly growing number of successful genome sequencing projects in plant pathogenic fungi greatly increase the demands for tools and methodologies to study fungal pathogenicity at genomic scale. Magnaporthe oryzae is an economically important plant pathogenic fungus whose genome is fully sequenced. Recently we have reported the development and application of functional genomics platform technologies in M. oryzae. This model approach would have many practical ramifications in design and implementation of upcoming functional genomics studies of filamentous fungi aimed at understanding fungal pathogenicity.

Automatic generation of context-aware workflow documents for ubiquitous robot services

Intelligent robots in ubiquitous computing environment should be able to receive a variety of surrounding informa tion and provide users with appropriate services. A developer can describe the robot services that are proper to users＇ envir onments by using his or her various environments, and process them through the execution engine. However, it is difficult for a developer to describe and develop robot services, who knows all surrounding information which is called context infor mation. If there is a method for describing and documenting robot services in intuitive expressions, that is to use graphical user interfaces（GUls）, it would be very helpful. This paper suggests that robot service developers describe robot services us ing intuitive GUls with contextawareness. And the services can be automatically generated into workflow documents. Robot services that robot service developers have made with intuitive GUIs can be automatically generated into workflow docu ments by using the object modeling technique（OMT）. Developers can describe robot services based on contextaware work flow language（CAWL ）. For testing, scenariobased robot services are described using CAWLbased development tool, and their workflow documents are automatically generated.

A CAWL handler for context-aware composite workflow services

In distributed computing environment,workflow technologies have been continuously ***,there is an attempt to apply these technologies to context-aware services in ubiquitous computing *** middleware,which offers services in such environments,should support the automation services suited for the user using various types of situational information around the *** this paper,based on context-aware workflow language(CAWL),we propose a CAWL based composite workflow handler for supporting composite workflow services,which can integrate more than two service flows and handle *** test results shows that the proposed CAWL handler can provide the user with the composite workflow services to cope with various demands on a basis of a scenario document founded on CAWL.

Context-aware BPEL workflow system using aspect-oriented programming

Business process execution language(BPEL)is a most recognized standard workflow ***,it is difficult to be used in the ubiquitous system computing environment because it is difficult to describe the context information in the selection of the flow through the *** solve this problem,we propose a new BPEL workflow system with context-awareness by using aspect-oriented programming(AOP).This system is composed of a BPEL system module and a weaving module using AOP for *** BPEL system module generates a BPEL workflow *** the weaving module converts a context-aware mark-up language(CAML)document to the aspect-oriented program that is applied to context-aware code without modification of the existing BPEL *** also define a new document form that is called CAML,which provides a context-aware that is not available in *** system can generate a context-aware workflow *** is developed in a way that inserts context information using AOP to provide context-aware services.

Towards delivery of situational information in distributed environments

In the distributed environment,robots should be able to provide users with adaptive services automatically according to the situational information changing dynamically which is obtained from both users and their *** workflow depends on situational information obtained from physical environments and provides context-aware services automatically based on the information *** the workflow in the business processes and the distributed computing environments have supported the automation of services by connecting *** workflow needs to specify ubiquitous situational information as state-transition ***,the delivery and use of sensor data in the workflow is a difficult problem for the robot *** order to bridge the gap between applications and low-level constructs and to acquire raw situational information for the execution of the context-aware workflow in the robot systems,this paper presents an approach which can achieve the sensor data transmission between a sensing server and a robot system easily.

Recently,both the importance and awareness relating to food safety relating to agrochemicals,chemical fertilizers,the pollution of ecosystem and unwholesome foods are growing *** the same reason,the purchaser's curiosity increases to know about the production process which can be accomplished by production traceability *** traceability system can store and superintend the specific attribute information about products regarding the productive centre,producer and production finish *** products undergo various circulation processes and they are being managed by individually constructed traceability ***,it is difficult for the producer and the consumer to guarantee the safety from transpirable issues about the falsification of production traceability because the traceability information can be re-produced by forging through various *** in this paper,we proposed a system for integrated management of agro-fishery products based on quick response code(QR-code)for forgery prevention which may help to solve these *** proposed system makes QR-code using production information provided by *** then it is provided to the distributor and the consumer through integrated service model using the ***,this system make sure to provide the same production traceability about the products to the distributor and the consumer and always keeps both updated with the same information.
