In contrast to the conventional etching that makes nanoparticles rounder and our previous sharpening etching mode that causes serrated edges,here,we developed a new boring etching mode that targets the faces of Au nanoplates to make *** critical factors are the pre-incubation step with the ligand 2-mercapto-5-benzimidazolecarboxylic acid(MBIA)and the subsequent removal of excess ligands in the ***,etching is focused onto the few sites with initial loss of ligands,which cannot be quickly *** choice of ligand MBIA is also of importance,as it carries negative charge and repels each *** inability of forming a dense layer probably plays a critical role in the site-selectivity for faces,because ligands at the higher curvature edges and corners are expected to have less *** etching results from the comproportionation reaction between Au3+and Au0 in the nanoplates,where Br-coordination to Au and the extra stabilization from cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)are *** believe that the ability of boring holes is an important tool for future synthetic designs.

The synthesis of a perpendicular growth structure of MoS_(2)nanosheets on graphene for efficient sodium storage is challenging yet ideal due to the benefits of open ion diffusion channels and high electronic *** this study,we have successfully fabricated a novel structure of vertical MoS_(2)nanosheets on graphene,with ZnS nanoparticles serving as bonding points(MoS_(2)/ZnS/G),through a facile hydrothermal *** the synthesis process,Zn^(2+)not only acts as a landing site for the vertical growth of MoS_(2)nanosheets but also triggers the formation of a defect-rich structure in the final *** unique architecture of MoS_(2)/ZnS/G effectively combines the advantages of a vertically aligned geometry and a defectrich structure for energy *** resulting structure displays shortened transport paths for electrons/ions,enhanced conductivity,improved structural integrity,and an increased number of active sites for promising electrochemical *** expected,when used as anode for sodium-ion batteries,the as-synthesize d MoS_(2)/ZnS/G exhibits excellent rate capability(high capacity of 298 mAh·g^(-1)at 5 A·g^(-1))and good cycling stability(a capacity decay of 0.056%per cycle after 500 cycles at 1 A·g^(-1)).According to the kinetic investigations,the electrochemical process of the MoS_(2)/ZnS/G sample is primarily governe d by a pseudocapacitive behavior,which enhances the charge/discharge kinetics and allows the MoS_(2)/ZnS/G structure to remain intact during cycling.

Q-BioLiP:A Comprehensive Resource for Quaternary Structure-based Protein-ligand Interactions

Since its establishment in 2013,BioLiP has become one of the widely used resources for protein-ligand ***,several known issues occurred with it over the past *** example,the protein-ligand interactions are represented in the form of single chain-based tertiary structures,which may be inappropriate as many interactions involve multiple protein chains(known as quaternary structures).We sought to address these issues,resulting in Q-BioLiP,a comprehensive resource for quaternary structure-based protein-ligand *** major features of Q-BioLiP include:(1)representing protein structures in the form of quaternary structures rather than single chain-based tertiary structures;(2)pairing DNA/RNA chains properly rather than separation;(3)providing both experimental and predicted binding affinities;(4)retaining both biologically relevant and irrelevant interactions to alleviate the wrong justification of ligands’biological relevance;and(5)developing a new quaternary structure-based algorithm for the modelling of protein-ligand complex *** these new features,Q-BioLiP is expected to be a valuable resource for studying biomolecule interactions,including protein-small molecule interaction,protein-metal ion interaction,protein-peptide interaction,protein-protein interaction,protein-DNA/RNA interaction,and RNA-small molecule interaction.Q-BioLiP is freely available at https://***/Q-BioLiP/.

In order to analyze and process the large graphs with high cost efficiency,researchers have developed a number of out-of-core graph processing systems in recent years based on just one commodity *** the other hand,with the rapidly growing need of analyzing graphs in the real-world,graph processing systems have to efficiently handle massive concurrent graph processing(CGP)***,due to the inherent design for single graph processing job,existing out-of-core graph processing systems usually incur unnecessary data accesses and severe competition of I/O bandwidth when handling the CGP *** this paper,we propose GraphCP,a disk I/O optimized out-of-core graph processing system that efficiently supports the processing of CGP *** proposes a benefit-aware sharing execution model to share the I/O access and processing of graph data among the CGP jobs and adaptively schedule the graph data loading based on the states of vertices,which efficiently overcomes above challenges faced by existing out-of-core graph processing ***,GraphCP adopts a dependency-based future-vertex updating model so as to reduce disk I/Os in the future *** addition,GraphCP organizes the graph data with a Source-Sorted Sub-Block graph representation for better processing capacity and I/O access *** evaluation results show that GraphCP is 20.5×and 8.9×faster than two out-of-core graph processing systems GridGraph and GraphZ,and 3.5×and 1.7×faster than two state-of-art concurrent graph processing systems Seraph and GraphSO.

Regular TiN is harmful to the toughness of steel,and its shape and size need to be *** the behavior of TiN precipitation on CeAlO_(3) surfaces is critical for controlling the morphology and formation process of CeAlO_(3)–TiN composite inclusions in the *** results showed that TiN had a square morphology on the CeAlO3 surface,and electron backscatter diffraction phase identification results revealed the orientation relationship between CeAlO_(3) and TiN as follows:(001)_(CeAlO_(3))//(110)_(TiN),(100)_(CeAlO_(3))/(001)_(TiN),and[010]_(CeAlO_(3))/[110]_(TiN).The CeAlO3 crystal structure was studied using the first-principles calculation method,and the adsorption and growth process of TiN on the CeAlO_(3) surface were investigated from the atomic *** calculation results indicate that there is no metallic bonding present in the CeAlO_(3) *** the low-index crystal planes of CeAlO_(3),the(110)planes terminated with O and CeAlO have the highest and lowest surface energies,respectively,with values of 0.373 and 0.051 eV/Å^(2).On the high surface energy plane of CeAlO_(3),the TiN atomic permutation structure is consistent with the arrangement of Ti and N atoms in TiN(100)or(110).For the low surface energy plane of CeAlO_(3),the Ti and N atoms are arranged in a ring-like structure.

One new isobenzofuranone derivative, 1,4-dimethoxy-3-（3R＊-hydroxy-3R＊-methyl-1-tetralone）-1 （3H）-isobenzofuran （1）, was isolated from the broth of marine Streptomyces sp. M268. The structure was elucidated by spectroscopy characteristics as well as comparison with the literature. Compound 1 exhibited cytotoxicities against human cancer cell, HL-60, A549, and BEL-7402.

Due to the low cost,high working voltage and high storage capacity,Li-rich Mn-based layered compounds show promise as the cathode materials for lithiumion batteries(LIBs).However,the side reactions at the solid-liquid interface of the cathode will lead to rapid capacity decay and inferior rate ***,this article proposes a liquid-phase dispersion strategy to introduce a Na_(2)WO_(4)layer on the Li_(1.2)Ni_(0.13)-Co_(0.13)Mn_(0.54)O_(2) cathode,which can reduce the side effects between raw materials and electrolyte and promote the insertion/extraction rate of Li^(+),thus enhancing the material stability and rate *** a result,the capacity retention rate is 96.9%after 200 cycles under ***,the capacities are 177.5,149.5,111.1 and58.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 1C,2C,5C and 10C,implying a superior fast charging *** exceptional performance can be ascribed to both the increased conductivity and enhanced structural stability of the cathode ***'s more,based on the investigation of ion insertion/extraction behavior in electrode materials and the ion migration kinetics in the electrolyte,this study suggests that coating Li-rich Mn-based materials with Na_(2)WO_(4)can be a promising strategy to improve their performance in LIBs.

Incident particles in the Klein tunnel phenomenon in quantum mechanics can pass a very high potential *** the concept of tunneling into the analysis of phononic crystals can broaden the application *** this study,the structure of the unit cell is designed,and the low frequency(<1 k Hz)valley locked waveguide is realized through the creation of a phononic crystal plate with a topological phase transition *** defect immunity of the topological waveguide is verified,that is,the wave can propagate along the original path in the cases of impurities and ***,the tunneling phenomenon is introduced into the topological valley-locked waveguide to analyze the wave propagation,and its potential applications(such as signal separators and logic gates)are further explored by designing phononic crystal *** research has broad application prospects in information processing and vibration control,and potential applications in other directions are also worth exploring.

The tapetum,a crucial innermost layer encompassing male reproductive cells within the anther wall,plays a pivotal role in normal pollen *** transcription factors (TFs) bHLH010/089/091 redundantly facilitate the rapid nuclear accumulation of DYSFUNCTIONAL TAPETUM 1,a gatekeeper TF in the ***,the regulatory mechanisms governing the activity of bHLH010/089/091 remain *** this study,we reveal that caffeoyl coenzyme A O-methyltransferase 1 (CCoAOMT1) is a negative regulator affecting the nuclear localization and function of bHLH010 and bHLH089,probably through their K259 *** findings underscore that CCoAOMT1 promotes the nuclear export and degradation of bHLH010 and ***,elevated CCoAOMT1 expression resulted in defective pollen development,mirroring the phenotype observed in bhlh010 bhlh089 ***,our investigation revealed that the K259A mutation in the bHLH089 protein disrupted its translocation from the nucleus to the cytosol and impeded its degradation induced by ***,transgenic plants with the probHLH089::bHLH089^(K259A)construct failed to rescue proper pollen development or gene expression in bhlh010 bhlh089 ***,these findings emphasize the need to maintain balanced TF homeostasis for male *** firmly establish CCoAOMT1 as a pivotal regulator that is instrumental in achieving equilibrium between the induction of the tapetum transcriptional network and ensuring appropriate anther development.
