Recent studies have revealed that bile acids(BAs)are not only facilitators of dietary lipid absorption but also important signaling molecules exerting multiple physiological *** major signaling pathways involving the nuclear BAs receptor farnesoid X receptor and the G protein-coupled BAs receptor TGR5/M-BAR have been identified to be the targets of *** regulate their own homeostasis via signaling *** also affect diverse metabolic pathways including glucose metabolism,lipid metabolism and energy *** paper suggests the mechanism of controlling metabolism via BA signaling and demonstrates that BA signaling is an attractive therapeutic target of the metabolic syndrome.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is a condition that greatly affects the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly ***,hyperplastic changes frequently occur in the prostate tissue of elderly men,the incidence of which has been reported to reach approximately 80% in men in their *** clinical practice,approximately 25% of men with histologic BPH are assumed to experience lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)and receive some kind of *** other words,there are some men with histologic BPH who do not exhibit *** that reason,many factors,such as the change in hormonal environment,the immune or autoimmune response,the alteration of gene expression,and so on,are thought to affect the onset and progression of LUTS in men with histologic *** such factor that has long drawn attention is the presence of asymptomatic histological inflammation,which very often accompanies symptomatic *** studies have suggested that asymptomatic histological inflammation causes repeated destruction,healing,and regeneration of the prostate tissue,leading to the enlargement of prostatic nodules,while at the same time causing stromal tissuepredominant remodeling of the prostate tissue,which can increase urination resistance and result in the condition changing from asymptomatic BPH to symptomatic *** future,the biomolecular clarification of the significance of asymptomatic histological inflammation in the prostate tissue could help develop new treatment strategies for BPH accompanied by LUTS.

AIM:To compare the imo perimeter,a new portable head-mounted perimeter unit that enables both eyes to be examined quickly and simultaneously,with the Humphrey field analyzer(HFA)perimeter to investigate correlations and their diagnostic ability in glaucomatous ***:The performance of the equipment in 128 glaucomatous eyes and 40 normal eyes were *** investigated the correlations of mean deviation,pattern standard deviation,visual field index,and the ***:Measurements of mean deviation(r=0.886,P<0.001),pattern standard deviation(r=0.814,P<0.001),and visual field index(r=0.871,P<0.001)in both perimeters were strongly and positively *** sensitivities in the imo perimeter were 80.5%for mean deviation,81.2%for pattern standard deviation,and 80.5%in visual field index;those in the HFA were 63.3%for mean deviation,74.5%for pattern standard deviation,and 80.5%for visual field *** perimeters demonstrated high diagnostic ***:The parameters by the imo and HFA in glaucomatous eyes show strong positive correlations with favorable sensitivity,specificity,and diagnostic ***,the difference between imo and HFA results increases with the increase in visual field disturbance.

Protein synthesis in crop plants contributes to the balance of food and fuel on our planet,which influences human metabolic activity and *** synthesis can be regulated with respect to changing environmental cues via the deposition of chemical modifications into ***,we present the structure of a plant ribosome from tomato and a quantitative mass spectrometry analysis of its *** study reveals fine features of the ribosomal proteins and 71 plant-specific rRNA modifications,and it re-annotates 30 rRNA residues in the available *** the protein level,isoAsp is found in position 137 of uS11,and a zinc finger previously believed to be universal is missing from eL34,suggesting a lower effect of zinc defi-ciency on protein synthesis in *** the rRNA level,the plant ribosome differs markedly from its human counterpart with respect to the spatial distribution of ***,it represents an additional layer of gene expression regulation,highlighting the molecular signature of a plant *** results provide a reference model of a plant ribosome for structural studies and an accurate marker for molecular ecology.

In the future, the power quality will decrease by the introduction of a lot of renewable energy sources. The topic of this research is a new method of operation of PCS （power conditioning systems） in the future distribution system. The purpose of this research is development of PCS with a function of improvement of the distribution system. Therefore, the authors propose a method of the power quality improvement of the distribution system by PCS. In addition, the authors construct the control logic to use in PCS The control logic suggests adding harmonic restraint function to conventional control. These were verified by simulation and an experiment. As the results, we confirmed that basic operation of PCS being carried out, harmonics were restrained, and power quality had improved.

By means of scanning electron microscope(SEM)and high voltage electron microscope(HVEM)we have observed and analysed morphology and micro-structure of silicon oxide film with different thickness formed on(111)silicon monocrystal under dry oxygen atmosphere at 1100℃.Compared with their oxidation kinetic curves consisted of three stages,we suggested a mechanism on forming silicon oxide *** to electron and X-ray diffraction analyses the silicon oxide films consisted of silica with different crystal *** also have discussed a stacking fault and a dislocation formed in the Si-Sio_2 interface region simulaneously forming silicon oxide film.

Surgeries for the Heart and Abdominal Aorta in a Patient with Heparin-Induced Thrombocytopenia: Manifestations Following Initial Heart Surgery

A 72-year-old man with abdominal aortic aneurysm and angina pectoris underwent coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) prior to abdominal aortic surgery. Perioperatively, he developed thrombocytopenia ((29,000 mm3), which was suggested as heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. Cardiac status was also aggravated at the same time, suggestive of bypass graft thrombosis. The results of platelet factor 4 (pf4) antibody test were negative, but platelet aggregation test was positive for heparin. Heparin was immediately discontinued, and replaced by argatroban;the patient’s cardiac status improved. One month later, he underwent abdominal aortic surgery using argatroban without issues related to anticoagulation and hemostasis. Autologous donated fresh blood prepared by the “switch-back” method was also used in this case, and its value was confirmed.

FRT Control Method Including Islanding Detection in PCS Model for Photovoltaic Generation

The experimental results by the simulated PV （photovoltaic） system for understanding the cause of disconnection when instantaneous voltage sag occurs are reported in this study. Moreover, it is understood that the PCS with the voltage phase jump detection method which is one of the main causes of the disconnection. We modeled it in the simulation. When fault occurs, even though the residual voltage is more than 20% and the voltage sag time is within 1.0 s, the PCS disconnected by the voltage phase jump detection was confirmed in the simulation results. Ifa large number of PV systems are interconnected in the power system, this study is verified through the simulation that the interaction caused by the disconnection which generated by the voltage phase jump detection. This study is proposed threshold limit value of islanding detection. The validity of proposed method was verified through the simulation in this study.
