Interfacial engineering through lead binding using crown ethers in perovskite solar cells

In the domain of perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the imperative to reconcile impressive photovoltaic performance with lead-related issue and environmental stability has driven innovative *** study pioneers an approach that not only rectifies lead leakage but also places paramount importance on the attainment of rigorous interfacial *** ethers,notably benzo-18-crown-6-ether(B18C6),were strategically integrated at the perovskite-hole transport material *** ethers exhibit a dual role:efficiently sequestering and immobilizing Pb^(2+)ions through host-guest complexation and simultaneously establishing a robust interfacial passivation *** crown ether candidates,guided by density functional theory(dfT)calculations,demonstrated proficiency in binding Pb2+ions and optimizing interfacial *** devices incorporating these materials achieved exceptional power conversion efficiency(PCE),notably 21.7%for B18C6,underscoring their efficacy in lead binding and interfacial *** techniques,including time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(Tof-SIMS),ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy(UPS),time-resolved photoluminescence(TRPL),and transient absorption spectroscopy(TAS),unequivocally affirmed Pb^(2+)ion capture and suppression of non-radiative ***,these PSCs maintained efficiency even after enduring 300 h of exposure to 85%relative *** research underscores the transformative potential of crown ethers,simultaneously addressing lead binding and stringent interfacial passivation for sustainable PSCs poised to commercialize and advance renewable energy applications.

Vitamin d deficiency: Correlation to interleukin-17, interleukin-23 and PⅢNP in hepatitis C virus genotype 4

AIM: To assess vitamin d (Vit d) abnormalities in hepatitis C infected patients and their relationship with interleukin (IL)-17, IL-23 and N-terminal propeptide of type Ⅲ pro-collagen (PⅢNP) as immune response mediators. METHOdS: The study was conducted on 50 Egyptian patients (36 male, 14 female) with hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, who visited the Hepatology Outpatient Clinic in the Endemic disease Hospital at Cairo University. Patients were compared with 25 ageand sexmatched healthy individuals. Inclusion criteria were based on a history of liver disease with HCV genotype 4 (HCV-4) infection (as new patients or under followup). Based on ultrasonography, patients were classified into four subgroups; 14 with bright hepatomegaly; 11 with perihepatic fibrosis; 11 with hepatic cirrhosis; and 14 with cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Total Vit d (i.e., 25-OH-Vit d) and active Vit d [i.e., 1,25-(OH) 2 -Vit d] assays were carried out using commercial kits. IL-17, IL-23 and PⅢNP levels were assayed using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay kits, while HCV virus was measured by quantitative and qualitative polymerase chain reaction. RESULTS: Levels of Vit d and its active form were significantly lower in advanced liver disease (hepatic cirrhosis and/or carcinoma) patients, compared to those with bright hepatomegaly and perihepatic fibrosis. IL-17, IL-23 and PⅢNP levels were markedly increased in HCV patients and correlated with the progression of hepatic damage. The decrease in Vit d and active Vit d was concomitant with an increase in viral load, as well as levels of IL-17, IL-23 and PⅢNP among all subgroups of HCV-infected patients, compared to normal healthy controls. A significant negative correlation was evident between active Vit d and each of IL-17, IL-23 and PⅢNP (r = -0.679, -0.801 and -0.920 at P fected men and women showed no differences with respect to Vit d levels. Lung cancer is the main cause of cancer related death owing to its destructive nature and postponed detection at advanced *** recognition of lung cancer is essential to increase the survival rate of persons and it remains a crucial problem in the healthcare *** aided diagnosis(CAd)models can be designed to effectually identify and classify the existence of lung cancer using medical *** recently developed deep learning(dL)models find a way for accurate lung nodule classification ***,this article presents a deer hunting optimization with deep convolutional neural network for lung cancer detection and classification(dHOdCNNLCC)*** proposed dHOdCNN-LCC technique initially undergoes pre-processing in two stages namely contrast enhancement and noise ***,the features extraction process on the pre-processed images takes place using the Nadam optimizer with Refinedet *** addition,denoising stacked autoencoder(dSAE)model is employed for lung nodule ***,the deer hunting optimization algorithm(dHOA)is utilized for optimal hyper parameter tuning of the dSAE model and thereby results in improved classification *** experimental validation of the dHOdCNN-LCC technique was implemented against benchmark dataset and the outcomes are assessed under various *** experimental outcomes reported the superior outcomes of the dHOdCNN-LCC technique over the recent approaches with respect to distinct measures.

These days,imbalanced datasets,denoted throughout the paper by Id,(a dataset that contains some(usually two)classes where one contains considerably smaller number of samples than the other(s))emerge in many real world problems(like health care systems or disease diagnosis systems,anomaly detection,fraud detection,stream based malware detection systems,and so on)and these datasets cause some problems(like under-training of minority class(es)and over-training of majority class(es),bias towards majority class(es),and so on)in classification process and ***,these datasets take the focus of many researchers in any science and there are several solutions for dealing with this *** main aim of this study for dealing with Ids is to resample the borderline samples discovered by Support Vector data description(SVdd).There are naturally two kinds of resampling:Under-sampling(U-S)and oversampling(O-S).The O-S may cause the occurrence of over-fitting(the occurrence of over-fitting is its main drawback).The U-S can cause the occurrence of significant information loss(the occurrence of significant information loss is its main drawback).In this study,to avoid the drawbacks of the sampling techniques,we focus on the samples that may be *** data points that can be misclassified are considered to be the borderline data points which are on border(s)between the majority class(es)and minority class(es).first by SVdd,we find the borderline examples;then,the data resampling is applied over *** the next step,the base classifier is trained on the newly created ***,we compare the result of our method in terms of Area Under Curve(AUC)and f-measure and G-mean with the other state-of-the-art *** show that our method has betterresults than the other state-of-the-art methods on our experimental study.

The wall shear stress （WSS） that a moving fluid exerts on a surface affects many processes including those relating to vascular function. WSS plays an important role in normal physiology （e.g. angiogenesis） and affects the microvasculature＇s primary function of molecular transport. Points of fluctuating WSS show abnormalities in a number of diseases; however, there is no established technique for measuring WSS directly in physiological systems. All current methods rely on estimates obtained from measured velocity gradients in bulk flow data. In this work, we report a nanosensor that can directly measure WSS in microfluidic chambers with sub-micron spatial resolution by using a specific type of virus, the bacteriophage M13, which has been fluorescently labeled and anchored to a surface. It is demonstrated that the nanosensor can be calibrated and adapted for biological tissue, revealing WSS in micro-domains of cells that cannot be calculated accurately from bulk flow measurements. This method lends itself to a platform applicable to many applications in biology and microfluidics.

Application of Marker Assisted Backcrossing to Introgress the Submergence Tolerance QTL <i>SUB</i>1 into the Vietnam Elite Rice Variety-AS996

The result of the study contributes to enhancing and sustaining future livelihoods and food security in Vietnam vis-a-vis climate change. An innovative strategy based on marker-assisted backcrossing (MABC) was used to transform popular rice variety AS996 into the one can tolerate submergence while maintaining its original characteristics preferred by farmers and consumers. The submergence tolerance QTL SUB1 counts for up to 70% of the submergence tolerant and provides a marked improvement of submergence tolerance in all genetic backgrounds and environments tested so far. Parental diversity was carried out with 460 markers. Of which, 53 polymorphic markers were used for assessment on BC1f1, BC2f1 and BC3f1 generations. The best BC1f1 plant was P422 with highest recipient allele was 87.5%, while the additional chosen plants were P412, P428, P215 and P39 (81% - 84%). All these plants were used to develop BC2f1 generation. The six BC2f1 plants were used to develop BC3f1 and BC2f2 were the plants number P422-11 and P422-14 having 93.75% recipient alleles and P422-12, P422-3, P39-17, P39-25 having 92.25% recipient alleles. Total of 445 BC3f1 plants were confirmed the introgresion of SUB1 using ART5 and SC3. After three generations of backcrossing, application of MABC resulted in the best BC3f1 individual P422-14-177 with 100% of recipient alleles based on the number of 53 markers used with only the introgression size of SUB1 was 0.3Mb between ART5 and SC3. Phenotyping was carried out on BC3f1 and BC2f2 of the selected lines. The survival ratio of these selected lines and IR64SUB1 were the same. It convinced the successfully introgress SUB1 into AS996 rice variety. The breeding line BC4f1 having 100% genetic background of donor variety is ready for develop new submergence tolerant rice variety ASS996-SUB1 to cope with climate change.

本文研究工作主要是关于用铬饼制备铬鞣液及其应用。铬饼是废铬屑用酶处理后的副产品，铬饼可以生产环保胶黏液。铬饼含40％-50％的无机固体，这些无机固体中还含有12％～15％的氧化铬。制备的5种不同铬液用于猪皮鞣制，鞣制后的猪皮革进行一系列的化学、物理机械性能（14种参数）的测定，所得结果能够与常规铬鞣液鞣制后的猪皮革相比较。结果表明，制备的鞣液可用于白色革的生产，并且相关的化学、物理机械性能可以与常规舶铬鞣液鞣制后的革相媲美。

N-末端proBNP分析在典型高危人群中诊断左心室收缩功能障碍的可靠性

Objective: To determine the performance of a new NT-proBNP assay in co mpariso n with brain natriuretic peptide (BNP)-in identifying left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVSd) in randomly selected community populations. Methods: Blood s amples were taken prospectively in the community from 591 randomly sampled indiv iduals over the age of 45 years, stratified for age and socioeconomic status and divided into four cohorts (general population; clinically diagnosed heart failu re; patients on diuretics; and patients deemed at high risk of heart failure). d efinite heart failure (left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEf)den tified in 33 people. Samples were handled as though in routine clinical practice . The laboratories undertaking the assays were blinded. Results: Using NT-proBN P to diagnose LVEff >40 pmol/l had 80 %sensitivity, 73%specificity, 5%positive predictive value (PPV), 100%negativ e predictive value (NPV), and an area under the receiver-operator characteristi c curve (AUC) of 76%(95%confidence interval (CI) 46%to 100%). for BNP to dia gnose LVSd, a cut off level of >33 pmol/l had 80%sensitivity, 88%specificity, 10%PPV, 100%NPV, and AUC of 88%(95%CI 75%to 100%). Similar NPVs were found for patients randomly screened from the three other populations. Conclusions: B oth NT-proBNP and BNP have value in diagnosing LVSd in a community setting, wit h similar sensitivities and specificities. Using a high cut off for positivity w ill confirm the diagnosis of LVSd but will miss cases. At lower cut off values, positive results will require cardiac imaging to confirm LVSd.
