Impact of meteorological factors on the incidence of childhood hand,foot,and mouth disease(HFMD)analyzed by DLNMs-based time series approach

Background:Hand,foot,and mouth disease(HFMD)has become an emerging infectious disease in China in the last *** has been evidence that meteorological factors can influence the HFMD incidence,and understanding the mechanisms can help prevent and control ***:HFMD incidence data and meteorological data in Minhang District,Shanghai were obtained for the period between 2009 and *** lag non-linear models(DLNMs)were utilized to investigate the impact of meteorological factors on HFMD incidence after adjusting for potential confounders of long time trend,weekdays and ***:There was a non-linear relationship between temperature and HFMD incidence,the RR of 5th percentile compared to the median is 0.836(95%CI:0.671-1.042)and the RR of 95th percentile is 2.225(95%CI:1.774-2.792),and the effect of temperature varied across age *** incidence increased with increasing average relative humidity(%)(RR=1.009,95%CI:1.005-1.015)and wind speed(m/s)(RR=1.197,95%CI:1.118-1.282),and with decreasing daily rainfall(mm)(RR=0.992,95%CI:0.987-0.997)and sunshine hours(h)(RR=0.966,95%CI:0.951-0.980).Conclusions:There were significant relationships between meteorological factors and childhood HFMD incidence in Minhang District,*** information can help local health agencies develop strategies for the control and prevention of HFMD under specific climatic conditions.

零膨胀对数正态分布左删失的过敏原的最大似然估计

目的探讨最大似然法处理左删失过敏原数据的效果。方法运用实例与模拟试验比较最大似然法与常用的LOD/2替代法和删除法在分析左删失蟑螂过敏原与哮喘病发作与否的关系的优劣。最大似然法分别选择对数正态分布和零膨胀对数正态分布作为左删失蟑螂过敏原的分布,并以Logistic回归来模拟过敏原与哮喘病发作的关系。结果总体上,最大似然法构建的零膨胀对数正态分布左删失模型是处理左删失蟑螂过敏原数据较合理及稳定的方法。LOD/2替代法则可导致相反及错误的过敏原与哮喘病关系。结论对于左删失过敏原的处理,建议先构建零膨胀对数正态分布左删失模型,据此再采用最大似然法进行参数估计和假设检验。

Rice ratoon cropping,or the cultivation of tillers that have regrown from existing stem nodes of a harvested crop,is currently a hot topic in agriculture,and record-high ratoon crop yields have been achieved in China(Xu et al.,2021).Although rice ratoon cropping is most appropriate for certain agro-ecosystems with a suitable climate and cropping schedule,it is a promising strategy to simultaneously increase productivity while reducing inputs and *** ratoon cropping may thereby contribute to global food security and agro-ecosystem sustainability.

Intelligent and connected vehicles(ICVs)are confronted with critically complex traffic scenarios and safety challenges that have attracted increasing attention from academia and *** intelligent safety of ICVs involves several technologies and requires the common efforts of researchers and engineers,including the safety of the intended functionality(SOTIF),the safety of artificial intelligence,the intricacies of cybersecurity,and ethical *** the intelligent safety of ICVs presents substantial chal-lenges in both research and commercialization,particularly SOTIF,which refers to the absence of unreasonable risk owing to hazards resulting from functional insufficiencies of the intended functiona-lity or reasonably foreseeable misuse by *** of the limited scene coverage ability of training samples and the practical application conditions without boundary restrictions,it is very dif-ficult to find the functional insufficiency of the intended function-ality and overcome it under dynamic unknown scenarios,which is also the source of SOTIF.

Emerging evidence and perspectives have pointed towards the heart playing an important role in hepatorenal syndrome(HRS),outside of conventional understanding that liver cirrhosis is traditionally considered the sole origin of a cascade of pathophysiological mechanisms directly affecting the kidneys in this *** the absence of established heart disease,cirrhotic cardiomyopathy may occur more frequently in those with liver cirrhosis and kidney *** is a specific form of cardiac dysfunction characterized by blunted contractile responsiveness to stress stimuli and altered diastolic relaxation with electrophysiological *** the clinical description of these potential cardiac-related complications of the liver,the role of the heart has traditionally been an overlooked aspect of circulatory dysfunction in *** from a physiological sense,temporality(prior onset)of cardiorenal interactions in HRS and positive effects stemming from portosystemic shunting demonstrated an important role of the heart in the development and progression of kidney dysfunction in cirrhotic *** this review,we discuss current concepts surrounding how the heart may influence the development and progression of HRS,and the role of systemic inflammation and endothelial dysfunction causing circulatory dysfunction within this *** temporality of heart and kidney dysfunction in HRS will be *** a subgroup of patients who receive portosystemic shunting,the dynamics of cardiorenal interactions following treatment is *** research to determine the unknowns in this topic is anticipated,hopefully to further clarify the intricacies surrounding the liver-heart-kidney connection and improve strategies for management.

Myocarditis is a disease process that every emergency physician fears *** severity can be mild to life-threatening,and many cases are likely undetected because they are subclinical with nonspecifi c signs.[1]Subtle cardiac signs may be overshadowed by systemic symptoms of the underlying infectious ***,myalgias,lethargy,symptoms commonly associated with viral syndrome,can mask the life-threatening myocarditis that may be *** fact,in the United States Myocarditis Treatment Trial,almost 90%of patients reported symptoms consistent with a viral prodrome.[2]Ammirati et al[3]reported that 27%of patients with myocarditis had either reduced left ventricular ejection fraction,ventricular arrhythmias,or low cardiac ***,we present a case report,in which handheld point-of-care ultrasound was utilized at the bedside to aid in the critical diagnosis of *** the additional information provided through this imaging modality,this patient was able to be transferred to the appropriate tertiary care facility in an expeditious manner and receive possible defi nitive treatment.
