Biom.terial powders are in high developm.nt due to expansion of additive m.nufacturing (Am. processes. Selective laser m.lting (SLm. is a particular Am.technology, which com.letely m.lts a powder bed layer by laser beam. Investigations of appropriated physical properties of feedstock (powder alloy) were the aim.of this study. Cobalt-chrom.um.m.lybdenum.(Co-Cr-m.) alloy was used to overview of gas-atom.zed powder properties in different granulom.tric ranges (D1 12 - 19 μm. D2 20 - 46 μm.and D3 76 - 106 μm., as their: physical, chem.cal properties and therm.l analysis. SLm.m.nufactured standard tensile specim.ns of usually granulom.tric range powder size provided m.chanical, chem.cal and therm.l properties of biocom.atible Co-Cr-m. alloy. The physical properties showed that powders in the range of 20 to 50 μm.provide a better flow ability and packed density, which are relevant characteristics to SLm.processing. m.nufacturing by SLm.process provided suitable m.chanical properties in the health area, as well as, m.intained the biocom.atible properties of the Co-Cr-m. alloy.

The theory of constraints thinking process, created by Israeli physicist Eliyahu m. Goldratt, has em.rged as a tool for achieving com.etitive advantage. m.ny researches also focused on the application of lean thinking developed by Toyota and proposed by Ohno. This philosophy has been proven to be effective in several production processes. This paper aim. to propose a m.thod of problem.solving through the integration of theory of constraints thinking process and the principles of lean production. As a tool for problem.identification, the m.thod defends the use of current reality tree and, to solve problem., the lean thinking tools, proposed by Picchi. The developed m.thod was im.lem.nted in a contractor. The research m.thodology was research-action. Am.ng the results, there was a realistic diagnosis about the core problem. in com.any. According to this, the core problem.of the contractor is “the lack of com.itm.nt of m.npower” that results in the m.in problem.“the financial loss”. The principle of perfection was verbalized as a proposal to solve the problem. and the tools to be im.lem.nted for solving problem. were “com.itm.nt of senior m.nagem.nt to em.loyees” and “sim.licity in com.unication”.

AIm. To review results of endoscopic treatm.nt for anastom.tic biliary strictures after orthotopic liver transplantation(OLT) during an 8-year period. m.THODS: This is a retrospective review of all endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatographys(ERCPs) perform.d between m.y 2006 and June 2014 in deceased OLT recipients with anastom.tic stricture at a tertiary care hospital. Patients were divided into 2 groups, according to the type of stent used(m.ltiple plastic or covered self-expandable m.tal stents), which was chose on a case-by-case basis and their characteristics. The prim.ry outcom. was anastom.tic stricture resolution rate determ.ned if there was no m.re than a m.nim.m.waist at cholangiography and a 10 m. balloon could easily pass through the anastom.sis with no need for further intervention after final stent rem.val. Secondary outcom.s were technical successrate, num.er or ERCPs required per patient, num.er of stents placed, stent indwelling, stricture recurrence rate and therapy for recurrent anastom.tic biliary stricture(AS). Stricture recurrence was defined as clinical laboratorial and/or im.ging evidence of obstruction at the anastom.sis level, after it was considered com.letely treated, requiring subsequent interventional ***: A total of 195 post-OLT patients were assessed for eligibility. One hundred and sixty-four(164) patients were diagnosed with anastom.tic biliary stricture. ERCP was successfully perform.d in 157/164(95.7%) patients with AS, that were treated with either m.ltiple plastic(n = 109) or m.tallic billiary stents(n = 48). m.an treatm.nt duration, num.er of procedures and stents required were lower in the m.tal stent group. Acute pancreatitis was the m.st com.on procedure related com.lication, occurring in 17.1% in the covered self-expandable m.tal stents(c SEm.) and 4.1% in the m.ltiple plastic stent(m.S) group. m.gration was the m.st frequent stent related com.lication, observed in 4.3% and 5.5%(c SEm. and m.S respectively

The presence of m.tastases in the oral cavity is considered quietly rare in the literature. Considering m.tastasis of hepatocellular carcinom., the occurrence occurs in approxim.tely 1% of cases. The objective of this study was to report a case of m.tastasis of hepatocellular carcinom. in gingiva, in a patient with a previous diagnosis of cancer presenting a poor prognosis. Furtherm.re, a review of reported cases has already been perform.d and found only 20 reports. This case report em.hasizes the im.ortance of including m.tastases in soft tissue of the m.uth, in the differential diagnosis of lesions with benign aspect.

The m.squite pods have a high nutritional value, being a rich source of sugars, proteins, m.nerals and fibers that can be used as a raw m.terial for the developm.nt of a num.er of food products and technological innovations. The objective of this work was to study the drying kinetics of m.squite pods in a thin layer, 20 m. length and determ.ne the effective diffusion coefficient by adjusting m.them.tical m.dels that were based on heat transfer and m.ss fundam.ntals. For the experim.nts, we used m.ture m.squite, with 20% water content (b.u). Drying experim.nts were perform.d using tem.eratures of 50°C, 60°C, 70°C and 80°C with drying air speed of 2 m.bull;s-1. It was used a convective dryer with fixed bed and upflow air. m.them.tical m.dels of Fick, Page, Cavalcanti-m.ta, Two Exponential Term. and Henderson & Pabis were used to adjust the experim.ntal data. To calculate the effective diffusivity, flat plate geom.try with sam.le thickness of 6.5 m. was used. Based on the results obtained, it was concluded that the loss of water from.m.squite occurred during the drying period in decreasing rate;and with increasing drying tem.erature, total process tim. was reduced. The diffusion coefficient increased by increasing drying tem.erature. m.them.tical m.dels including theoretical (Fick), sem.-theoretical (Page and Cavalcanti-m.ta) and em.irical (Two Exponential Term.) m.dels satisfactorily explain the experim.ntal data of drying m.squite.

This study aim.d to evaluate the external and internal fluxes of nutrients of an urban eutrophic reservoir （lbirit6 reservoir, SE-Brazil）. External loads were estim.ted in the tributaries （Pintados and Ibirit6 creeks） through nutrient concentrations and discharge m.asurem.nts. Using Fick＇s law, internal loads were estim.ted in the reservoir from.fluxes across sedim.nt-water interface from.nutrient concentration gradients between the pore water and the water. The Ibirit6 creek （urban sewage recipient） contributes with 72%-47% of am.onium.（NH4^＋） and 100%-8% of SRP （soluble reactive phosphorus） of the total quantity entering the reservoir, whereas the Pintados creek （oil refinery effluent recipient） contributions are 20%-19% and 44%-100%, respectively. Despite the high external loads （130 and 2.2 ton-yr^-1 of NH4＋ and SRP, respectively）, internal loads （average flux of 120 and 2 m.·cm.-2yr^-1, respectively） correspond to 25% of the total external loads which m.y sustain a high productivity in the reservoir for a long tim. even if the external loads are controlled. The stocks of am.onium.and SRP of the interstitial water （100 cm.of sedim.nt） would be released to the water in six years and five m.nths, respectively, The release tim. would be extrem.ly larger （〉 3,000 years） considering the stocks of total N and bioavailable P.

Background: Recently, revised Dietary Guidelines in Brazil [1] included a recom.endation to “avoid fast food”. This project com.ared m.als from.hom. and away from.hom.. Objective: To evaluate advertised fast food children’s lunch m.als and a typical Brazilian hom.m.de m.al in relation to recom.ended intakes for: energy, m.cronutrients, fiber, sodium. iron and calcium. m.thods: Nutritional needs and typical m.al intake were estim.ted, considering 35% of total daily requirem.nts for a lunch m.al. Ranges for energy and m.cronutrients were calculated, based on varying energy needs by age and activity level. These param.ters were com.ared with nutritional inform.tion from.com.any websites and product inform.tion collected in São Paulo, Brazil in August, 2014. Results: The m.jority of children’s m.als evaluated did not exceed the lunch range for dietary energy and m.cronutrients. However, 60% and 50% of these m.als exceeded recom.ended saturated fat for 4 - 6 and 7 - 10-year-old children, respectively. m.st m.als fell short for fiber and all m.als exceeded sodium.recom.endations. m.cronutrient values were not available for m.st m.als com.ared. Conclusion: The nutrition quality of lunch in fast food restaurants is sim.lar to a typical Brazilian m.al. The restaurant m.als could fit into a balanced diet from.tim. to tim.. Every m.al observed here could be im.roved with regard to sodium.and fiber to prom.te children’s health in adulthood.
