ULTRASONIC INFLUENCE OF POROSITY LEVEL ON CFRP COMPOSITE LAMINATES USING RAYLEIGH PROBE WAVES

It was found that a pitch-catch signal was more sensitive than normal incidence backwall echo of longitudinal wave to subtle flaw conditions in the composites （damages, fiber orientation, low level porosity, ply waviness, and cracks）. Both the strength and stiffness depend on the fiber orientation and porosity volume in the composites. The porosity content of a composite structure is critical to the strength and performance of the structure in general. The depth of the sampling volume where the pitch-catch signal came from was relatively shallow with the head- to-head miniature Rayleigh probes, but the depth can be increased by increasing the separ.tion distance of the transmitting and receiving probes. Also, a method was utilized to determine the porosity content of a composite lay-up by processing micrograph images of the laminate. A free software package was utilized to process micrograph images of the test sample. The results from the image processing method were compar.d with existing data. Beam profile was characterized in unidirectional CFRP（carbon fiber reinforced plastics） using pitch-catch Rayleigh probes and the one-sided pitch-catch technique was utilized to produce C-scan images with the aid of the automatic scanner.

Genetic-optimization framework for SVC transmission based on par.ial cooperative communication

A genetic-optimization framework based on the par.ial cooperation communication protocol is proposed for scalable video coding (SVC) stream transmission under multi-relay amplify and forward cooperative networks. Unlike traditional cooperative transmission schemes, the transmission mode for each coded unit in this new protocol can be switched flexibly between direct transmission and cooperative transmission. Obviously, under this protocol, the bandwidth efficiency and transmission robustness can be balanced adaptively according to the priority level of coded units and wireless channel fading characteristics. Based on this, a well-known genetic optimization algorithm-differential evolution is exploited here to find the jointly optimal transmission modes, power allocation and unequal error protection (UEP) channel coding strategies to minimize the end to end reconstructed video distortion. Extensive simulation results show that, compar.d with classical optimal cooperative UEP transmission schemes, the proposed optimized transmission framework based on the par.ial cooperative protocol can bring significant peak-signal-to-noise-ratio (PSNR) gains for the reconstructed video in a variety of channel bandwidth, power budget and test sequences.

The histopathological diagnosis of gastric mucosal biopsy and endoscopic mucosal resection/endoscopic submucosal dissection specimens is important,but the diagnostic criteria,terminology,and grading system are not the same in the East and West.A structurally invasive focus is necessary to diagnose carcinoma for most Western pathologists,but Japanese pathologists make a diagnosis of cancer based on severe dysplastic cytologic atypia irrespective of the presence of *** the Vienna classification was introduced to reduce diagnostic discrepancies,it has been difficult to adopt due to different concepts for gastric epithelial neoplastic *** pathologists experience much difficulty making a diagnosis because we are influenced by Japanese pathologists as well as Western *** is geographically close to Korea,and academic exchanges are ***,Korean doctors are familiar with Western style medical *** a result,the terminology,definitions,and diagnostic criteria for gastric intraepithelial neoplasia are very heterogeneous in *** solve this problem,the Gastrointestinal Pathology Study Group of the Korean Society of Pathologists has made an effort and has suggested guidelines for differential diagnosis:(1) a diagnosis of carcinoma is based on invasion;(2) the most important characteristic of low grade dysplasia is the architectural pattern such as regular distribution of crypts without severe branching,budding,or marked glandular crowding;(3) if nuclear pseudostratification occupies more than the basal half of the cryptal cells in three or more adjacent crypts,the lesion is considered high grade dysplasia;(4) if severe cytologic atypia is present,careful inspection for invasive foci is necessary,because the risk for invasion is very high;and(5) other structural or nuclear atypia should be evaluated to make a final decision such as cribriform pattern,papillae,ridges,vesicular nuclei,high nuclear/cytoplasmic ratio,loss

Analysis of interval constants in calendars affiliated with the Shoushili

We study interval constants that are related to motions of the sun and Moon, i.e., the Qi, Intercalation, Revolution and Crossing interval, in calendars affiliated with the Shoushi calendar （Shoushili）, such as Datongli and Chiljeongsannaepyeon. It is known that these interval constants were newly introduced in the Shoushili calendar and revised afterward, except for the Qi interval constant, and the revised values were adopted in later calendars affiliated with the Shoushili. We first investigate the accu- racy of these interval constants and then the accuracy of calendars affiliated with the Shoushili in terms of these constants by compar.ng times for the new moon and the maximum solar eclipse calculated by each calendar with modem methods of calcula- tion. During our study, we found that the Qi and Intercalation interval constants used in the early Shoushili were well determined, whereas the Revolution and Crossing interval constants were relatively poorly measured. We also found that the interval constants used by the early Shoushili were better than those of the later one, and hence better than those of Datongli and Chiljeongsannaepyeon. On the other hand, we found that the early Shoushili is, in general, a worse calendar than Datongli for use in China but a better one than Chiljeongsannaepyeon for use in Korea in terms of times for the new moon and when a solar eclipse occurs, at least for the period 1281 - 1644. Finally, we verified that the times for sunrise and sunset in the Shoushili-Li-Cheng and Mingshi are those at Beijing and Nanjing, respectively.

Association between the early high level of serum tacrolimus and recurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma in ABO-incompatible liver transplantation

BACKGROUND Clinical factors predicting graft survival(GS)after ABO-incompatible(ABOi)liver transplantation(LT),and differences between recipients with and without hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)are *** To analyze the impact of serial serum tacrolimus trough concentration in recipients with or without(HCC)in ABOi living-donor liver transplantation(LDLT).METHODS We analyzed a historical cohort of 89 recipients who underwent ABOi LDLT,including 47 patients with *** The 1-,3-,5-,and 10-year GS rates were 85.9%,73.3%,71.4%,and 71.4%,respectively,and there were no significant differences between HCC and non-HCC *** multivariate Coxregression analyses,tacrolimus trough concentrations below 5.4 ng/mL at 24 wk post-LT,in addition to the antibody-mediated rejection(AMR)were associated with poor-graft *** HCC patients,AMR[hazard ratio(HR)=63.20,P7.3 ng/mL were significant predictive factors for HCC *** propensity score matching,patients with high tacrolimus concentrations at 4 wk had significantly poor recurrence-free *** Elevated tacrolimus levels at 4 wk after ABOi LDLT have been found to correlate with HCC ***,careful monitoring and control of tacrolimus levels are imperative in ABOi LT recipients with HCC.

Recently,virtual reality technology that can interact with various data is used for urban design and ***,one of the most important elements in virtual reality technology,means visual expression so that a person can experience three-dimensional space like *** obtain this realism,real-world data are used in the various *** example,in order to increase the realism of 3D modeled building textures real aerial images are utilized in 3D ***,the aerial image captured during the day can be shadowed by the sun and it can cause the distortion or deterioration of *** resolve this problem,researches on detecting and removing shadows have been conducted,but the detecting and removing shadow is still considered as a challenging *** this paper,we propose a novel method for detecting and removing shadows using deep *** this work,we first a build a new dataset of photo-realistic synthetic urban data based on the virtual environment using 3D spatial information provided by *** detecting and removing shadow from the dataset,firstly,the 1-channel shadow mask image is inferred from the 3-channel shadow image through the ***,to generate a shadow-free image,a 3-channel shadow image and a detected 1-channel shadow mask into the GAN is *** the experiments,we can prove that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods in detecting and removing shadow.

Objective: To identify the source of infection and determine the clinical features and laboratory finding of measles infection,Methods: In 27 measles patients,except for 3 adult patients,the rest of 24 pediatric measles cases were analyzed with regard to age,sex,immunization status,transmission routes and molecular genotyping of measles virus,Eighteen measles patients who admitted in isolation ward were set apar. to investigate clinical findings and its correlation with laboratory characteristics,Retrospective analysis of cases was conducted in this study,Results: Of the 24 pediatric patients,23(95.8%) had not received any measles-containing vaccine(MCV),Sixteen of the patients(66.7%) were aged par.ate aminotransferase(ρ = 0.507,P = 0.032),and alanine aminotransferase(ρ = 0.481,P = 0.043),Conclusions: Early weaning of maternally derived measles antibodies therefore vaccination of MCV1 at a young age from 9 months to 12 months should be considered in situations of early exposure,Furthermore there is a call for consideration of scheduling an earlier age for the first dose of MMR vaccine in Europe,It is necessary for Korea to investigat

To the Editor： Free-flap reconstructions involve factors that can increase the risk of myocardial infarction （MI; e.g., the intraoperative use of a vasoactive agent, body temperature maintenance, and postoperative administration of fluid therapy and/or antithrombotic drugs）,MI has been observed after free-flap head and neck reconstruction although it has not been reported after free-flap lower extremity reconstruction. Thus, we report a rare case of sudden death from MI after free-flap foot reconstruction.

＜正＞ In this paper, we re-analyzed the structure of the fuzzy controller as that of the conventional PID controller, and proposed a neural network based self-tuning fuzzy PID controller of which output gains are adjusted automatically. The initial tuning par.meters of the proposed controller are determined based on the tuning method of the conventional PID controller. Then, they are adjusted by using the proposed neural network learning algorithm. The experiment of its implementation on the magnetic levitation system, which is known to be heavily nonlinear, shows the proposed controller’s excellent performance.

本文以小学一年级儿童为被试,在有提示的前提下,采用错误检测范式,通过操纵词汇类型考察不同阅读水平儿童词汇阅读理解监控的加工过程。结果发现:(1)实验1中,相对于一致和无关控制词,儿童对形似词的监控正确率最低;而儿童对一致、无关控制和形似词的监控反应时不存在差异;(2)实验2中,相对于一致和无关控制词,儿童对音同词的监控正确率最低;高阅读水平儿童对音同词的监控反应时显著快于无关控制词。总体上,高阅读水平儿童的监控正确率和反应时均优于低阅读水平儿童。这表明,语音、字形及儿童阅读水平的高低均对小学一年级儿童词汇阅读理解监控加工产生影响,为情境模型提供了一定的支持。
