Nowadays,the application of renewable energies such as solar energy in the building sector has increased notably considering the adverse impacts of climate change on human life;hence many studies have focused on the application of photovoltaic panels in *** the current study,a 3D computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model has been developed to evaluate the performance of a newly designed building-integrated photovoltaic(BIPV)*** the negative influence of overheating on the lifespan and performance of PV panels,their passive air cooling has been ***,the potential of rooftop-mounted solar panels in passive ventilation of buildings by generating natural convective currents has been *** developed CFD model takes into consideration the effects of radiation,conduction,and buoyancy-driven natural convective currents generated by solar PV panels which are heated due to the exposure to solar radiation heat *** results suggest that applying a high surface emissivity for the part of the roof beneath the PV panels intensifies the natural convective currents which in turn provides better cooling for PV panels with higher cooling effects at higher solar heat *** to a 34%increase in the convective mass flow rate and a 3 K decrease in the mean temperature of the panels were attained by modifying the emissivity of roof *** a 3 K decrease in the operating temperature of the PV panels can enhance their efficiency and lifespan by about 1.56%and 21%,*** on the operating conditions and system characteristics,the BIPV system yielded an air change rate(ACH)in the range of 3-13 which was considered to be highly prevalent in providing the required passive ventilation for a wide range of *** was also observed that the flow dynamics inside the building were affected by both the amount of solar heat load incident on the solar panels and the emissivity of the roof surface behind the panels.

Due to the fuel security and environmental concerns of traditional energy resources like fossil fuels,grid operators are tending to use renewable energies as the primary energy *** paper presents the study of designing,simulation and analysis of a 100-kWp on-grid photovoltaic power plant(PV-PP)in north-western *** meteorological data,satellite images and local knowledge from this region have narrowed down the options to three highly irradiated cities of Maragheh,Mahabad and Khalkhal in this *** and MATLAB software are used in this paper to obtain the performance *** effects and carbon-emission savings from the execution of the proposed PV-PP are also available in this *** result of this study shows that PV-PP installation in Maragheh will have higher energy output than the two other *** study is insightful for the academics and the grid stakeholders in finding optimal spots in north-western Iran to construct a ***,recommendations are available for future studies.

The Bohr Hamiltonian with axially deformed shape confined in a quasi-exactly solvable decatic β-part potential is *** is shown that the decatic model can well reproduce the X(5)model results as far as the energy ratios in the ground and beta band and related B(E2)values are *** results to the low-lying energy ratios and relevant B(E2)values of even-even X(5)candidates ^(150)Nd,^(156)Dy,^(164)Yb,^(168)Hf,^(174)Yb,^(176,178,180)Os,and ^(188,190)Os show that the decatic model provides the best fitting results for the energy ratios,while the X(5)model is the best at reproducing the B(E2)values of these nuclei,in which the beta-bandhead energy is lower than that of the gamma *** for even-even nuclei,such as ^(154,156,158)Gd,with bandhead energies of the beta and gamma bands more or less equal within the X(5)critical point to the axially deformed region,our numerical analysis indicates that the decatic model is better than the X(5)model in describing both the low-lying level energies and related B(E2)values.

Black liquor is obtained as a by-product of the pulping process,which is used to convert biomass into pulp by removing lignin,hemicelluloses and other extractives from wood to free cellulose *** represents a major constituent in black liquor,with quantities varying from 20%to 30%,of which a very low share is used for manufacturing value-added products,while the rest is mainly burned for energy purposes,thus underestimating its great potential as a raw ***,it is essential to establish new isolation and extraction methods to increase lignin valorization in the development of bio-based *** aim of this research work was to determine the effect of KOH or ethanol concentration as an isolation agent on lignin yields and the chemical characteristics of lignin isolated from formacell black liquor of oil palm empty fruit bunch(OPEFB).Isolation of lignin was carried out using KOH with various concentrations ranging from 5%to 15%(w/v).Ethanol was also used to precipitate lignin from black liquor at concentrations varying from 5%to 30%(v/v).The results obtained showed that the addition of KOH solution at 12.5%and 15%concentrations resulted in better lignin yield and chemical properties of lignin,i.e.,pH values of 3.86 and 4.27,lignin yield of 12.78%and 14.95%,methoxyl content of 11.33%and 10.13%,and lignin equivalent weights of 476.25 and 427.03,*** to its phenolic structure and rich functional groups that are favorable for modifications,lignin has the potential to be used as a green additive in the development of advanced biocomposite products in various applications to replace current fossil fuel-based material,ranging from fillers,fire retardants,formaldehyde scavengers,carbon fibers,aerogels,and wood adhesives.

Electrospun nanofibers combined with a wide range of functional additives can be used for a various tissue engineering applications due to their desired biomimetic and physicochemical ***,the present study was conducted to obtain a highly efficient nanocomposite electrospun scaffold with appropriate physicochemical performance and biological properties based on Polycaprolactone/Polyurethane(PCL/PU)mixed with gold nanoparticles(GNPs)and soybean oil(SO).In the present study,the desired nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning PCL/PU mixed solution with GNPs and *** nanocomposite electrospun PU/PCL/SO/GNP nanofibers were characterized in terms of chemical composition by attenuated total reflectance-Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(ATR-FTIR),morphological structure by field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),and mechanical and biological *** surface topography and wettability were determined by atomic force microscopy(AFM)and water contact angle measurements,*** was found that the presence of GNPs along with SO in the structure of PCL/PU nanofiber created a smoother surface in terms of surface roughness and also a more homogeneous fibrous *** addition,it was observed that both SO and GNPs caused an increase in the electrical conductivity of the fibrous *** the biocompatibility evaluations by measuring cell viability and cell adherence to the scaffold's surfaces,it was found that adding of SO and GNPs supports *** together,the fabricated nanocomposite fibrous scaffolds can be a potential candidate for various tissue engineering purposes.

In this context,four specimens,i.e.(i)circumferentially notched cylindrical torsion(CNCT),(ii)circum-ferentially notched cylindrical direct tension(CNCDT),(iii)edge notch disc bend(ENDB)and(iv)three-point bend beam(3PBB),were utilized to measure the modesⅠandⅢfracture toughness values of *** the CNCT specimen provides pure modeⅢloading in a direct manner,this pure mode condition is indirectly produced by the ENDB *** ENDB specimen provided lower KⅢc and a non-coplanar(***)fracture surface compared with the CNCT specimen,which showed a planar modeⅢfracture *** ENDB specimen is also employed for conducting pure modeⅠ(with different crack depths)and mixed modeⅠ/Ⅲ*** value was independent of the notch depth,and it was consistent with the RILEM and ASTM standard *** the modeⅢfracture results were highly sensitive to the notch *** the fracture resistance against modeⅢwas significantly lower than that of modeⅠ,the greater work of fracture under modeⅢwas noticeable.

Lake Urmia,Northwest Iran,has confronted a drying procedure in recent years with losing 90%of its water *** authorities concerned about desertification processes and possible dust events throughout the *** this regard,the Iranian Natural Resources and Watershed Management Organization has taken ecological measures to plant vegetation using salt cedar(Tamarix ramosissima Ledeb.)shrubs to combat *** study aimed to investigate the vegetation and soil characteristics of natural and plantation stands of salt cedar on the western shores of Lake *** this end,7 transects were randomly selected with 15 shrubs in natural stands,and 7 transects were randomly selected with 15 shrubs in the plantation parts along the planting ***,vegetative characteristics were ***,soil samples were taken from the vicinity of the *** results indicated that there was no significant difference between the mean diameter at breast height(DBH)of salt cedar in natural *** was a significant difference between the mean number of sprouts per sprout-clumps,mean crown diameter,collar diameter,total height,and also between mean crown diameter and freshness of shrubs among different sites(P<0.05).It was also found that soil variables,such as clay content,organic matter,electrical conductivity(EC),Na^(+),specific absorption rate(SAR),Cl^(-),SO_(4)^(2-),Na^(+),K^(+),and PO_(4)^(2-) are the most significant variable parameters between studied *** the results shown,the values of EC,SAR,Na^(+),and Cl^(-)are 6 times higher in the planted stands than in the natural stands of ***,the colonization of *** in the planted stands is unsuccessful by dramatic drop in the total height and average *** the role of soil characteristics in explaining the variance of data and site separation,it seems that these indicators can be applied in executive plans as important indicators to identify suitable planting sites for c
