An analysis is performed to study transient free convective boundary layer flow of a couple stress fluid over a vertical cylinder, in the absence of body couples. The solution of the time-dependent non-linear and coupled governing equations is carried out with the aid of an unconditionally stable Crank-Nicolson type of numerical scheme. Numerical results for the steady-state velocity, temperature as well as the time histories of the skin-friction coefficient and Nus- selt number are presented graphically and discussed. It is seen that for all flow variables as the couple stress control parameter, Co, is amplified, the time required for reaching the temporal maximum increases but the steady-state decreases.

The unsteady natural convective couple stress fluid flow over a semi-infinite vertical cylinder is analyzed for the homogeneous first-order chemical reaction effect. The couple stress fluid flow model introduces the length dependent effect based on the material constant and dynamic viscosity. Also, it introduces the biharmonic operator in the Navier-Stokes equations, which is absent in the case of Newtonian fluids. The solution to the time-dependent non-linear and coupled governing equations is carried out with an unconditionally stable Crank-Nicolson type of numerical schemes. Numerical results for the transient flow variables, the average wall shear stress, the Nusselt number, and the Sherwood number are shown graphically for both generative and destructive reactions. The time to reach the temporal maximum increases as the reaction constant K increases. The average values of the wall shear stress and the heat transfer rate decrease as K increases, while increase with the increase in the Sherwood number.

A new empirical formula for the astrophysical S-factor has been suggested as a function of the Coulomb interaction parameter,center of mass energy,and barrier *** 22 fusion reactions with ^(40,48)Ca as projectiles were considered for different targets,leading to compound nuclei with atomic and mass numbers varying between 40≤Z≤≤Z≤112 and 88≤A≤27888≤A≤278,*** fusion cross-sections have been estimated using the geometric factor,the Gamow-Sommerfield factor,and the empirical formula for the *** study's findings showed better agreement with those of available experiments when compared to Wong's *** present work leads to a smaller standard deviation value than Wong's formula when used to correlate the experimental data of calcium-induced fusion ***'s formula provides a good approximation of fusion cross-sections when the center of mass energy is below the fusion barrier when compared to above the fusion barrier.

here, we report the synthesis and characterizations of sol-gel derived zinc oxide （ZnO） quantum dots （QDs） using zinc acetate dihydrate （Zn（Ch3COO）2.2h20） and lithium hydroxide monohydrate （LiOh.h20） as raw material. The as-prepared ZnO QDs was annealed at different temperature （400, 700, and 900 ℃） and the structural, optical properties were investigated by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, high resolution transmission electron microscopy （hRTEM）, UV-Vis and photoluminescence （pL） spectroscopy. The powder XRD patterns of the obtained samples showed the formation of single-phase wurtzite structure and the morphological changes have been observed with increasing annealing temperature. In the absorption spectra, the optical band gap of nanocrystalline ZnO QDs decreased from 3.18 to 3.11 eV and the particle size increased with increasing temperature. In the pL spectra, a broad green emission peak related to defect levels in the visible range of the spectra have been recorded.

Rifaximin is a broad spectrum oral antibiotic with antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. It is poorly absorbed and thus has a highly favorable safety profile. Rifaximin has been shown to be effective in the treatment of traveler’s diarrhea, functional bloating and irritable bowel syndrome, small bowel bacterial overgrowth and in the prevention of recurrent overt hepatic encephalopathy. In addition, there is emerging evidence for a possible beneficial effect of rifaximin in the treatment of uncomplicated diverticular disease and in the prevention of recurrent diverticulitis. The use of rifaximin is associated with a low incidence of development, or persistence of spontaneous bacterial mutants. Moreover, the development of important drug resistance among extra-intestinal flora during rifaximin therapy is unlikely because of minimal systemic absorption and limited cross-resistance of rifaximin with other antimicrobials. This review addresses the current and emerging role of rifaximin in the treatment of gastrointestinal and liver disorders.

AIM： To evaluate pronto Dry examination in patients with dyspepsia. METhODS： The study was conducted in patients with dyspepsia who underwent endoscopic examination in several endoscopic centers of several cities in Indonesia from January 2003 until April 2004. Biopsies for histopathologic examination were fixed with formalin and sent to histopathologic Department to be analyzed and confirm the presence of hpylori infection. If hpylori was found positive, the density was calculated semi quantitatively. histopathologic examination from gastric biopsy samples was interpreted based on the updated Sydney system classification. RESULTS： Of 550 patients, 309 （56%） were male and 241 （44%） were female with ages ranging from 15 to 82 years. Mean age was 44.98 ± 14.46 years. Mean age of male patients was 44.35 ± 13.85 years and mean age of female patients was 45.78± 15.19 years. Evaluation of endoscopic results showed gastric ulcer in 36 cases （6.5%） and duodenal ulcer in 20 cases （3.6%）. Normal endoscopic finding was found in 45 cases （8.2%） and minimal disorder of gastritis and duodenitis were found in 246 cases （44.7%）. One case of gastric cancer was identified. Of 56 cases which were positive based on the criteria used, 39 patients were positive with pronto Dry and 17 patients were negative with pronto Dry. Overall sensitivity and specificity of pronto Dry were 69.7% and 95.7% respectively. positive predictive value was 66.1% and negative predictive value was 96.4% and overall accurate rate was 92.9%. CONCLUSION： pronto Dry seems promising as a diagnostic tool to detect hpy/ori more rapidly and accurately.

We discuss the warm inflation in the presence of standard scalar field model and modified Chaplyggin gas in brahe-world scenario. We consider weak and strong dissipative regimes with generalized dissipative coefficient. We extract various inflationary parameters. For example, we analyze the behavior of different ratios （ratio of dissipative co-efficient and hubble parameter Г/3h, ratio of temperature and hubble parameter T/ h, scalar-to-tensor ratio ＇r） with respect to spectral index ns for the weak and strong dissipative regimes through parametric plotting. It is found that T/h and Г/3h satisfied the required conditions in both dissipative regimes. It is also noted that the spectral index （ns） ns=0.96＋0.10-0.10 It is remarked here that our results are consistence with observational data WMAp7, WMAp9, and recent planck data.

Inspired by the availability of recent experimental as well as theoretical data on the energy levels of odd-mass^151-161pm and odd-odd^154,156pm,we applied the theoretical framework of the projected shell model to further understand the nuclear structure of these *** calculations closely reproduced the experimental data reported for the yrast bands of these isotopes by assuming an axial(prolate)deformation of^*** properties along the yrast line,such as transition energies and transition probabilities,have also been *** diagrams are plotted to understand their intrinsic multi-quasiparticle structure,which turn out to be dominated by 1-quasiparticle bands for the odd-mass pm isotopes and 2-quasiparticle bands for the doubly-odd pm isotopes under *** present study not only confirms the recently reported experimental/theoretical data,but also extends the already available information on the energy levels and adds new information regarding the reduced transition probabilities.

poly（2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate） chains were grafted onto the backbone of agar using a microwave assisted method involving a combination of microwave irradiation and ceric ammonium nitrate to initiate the grafting reaction. The synthesized graft copolymers were characterized by intrinsic viscosity measurements, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, elemental analysis （C, h, N, O and S） and scanning electron microscopy. Ag-g-p （hEMA）-2 showed a much higher flocculation efficacy than agar. The optimized dosage of flocculation for Ag-g-p （hEMA）-2 in the wastewater was found to be 0.75 ppm. Compared to agar, Ag-g-p（hEMA）-2 was found to considerably reduce the pollutant load in the wastewater.
