Facile fabrication of CdIn_(2)S_(4)/TiO_(2)heterojunction for enhanced solar light efficient CO_(2)reduction

Photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction is a promising solution to simultaneously provide renewable chemical fuels and address the greenhouse ***,designing practical photocatalysts with advanced architectures remains ***,we report the preparation of a novel CdIn_(2)S_(4)/TiO_(2)binary heterojunction via an in situ solvothermal approach,which exhibits superior photocatalytic activity for sunlight-driven CO_(2)*** CdIn_(2)S_(4)/TiO_(2)composites exhibit significantly enhanced photocatalytic performance for CO_(2)reduction compared to unmodified TiO_(2).Among them,the 3%CdIn_(2)S_(4)/TiO_(2)composite has optimal CO and Ch_(4) evolution rates of 18.32 and 1.03μmol·g–1·h–1,*** yield of CO is 4.7 times higher than that of pristine TiO_(2).This improved photocatalytic activity of the CdIn_(2)S_(4)/TiO_(2)heterostructure can be attributed to its large surface area,extended light absorption range and high separation efficiency of photogenerated electron-hole pairs,which are supported by the results of photoluminescence spectroscopy and the photoelectrochemical ***,the photocatalytic mechanism based on the binary CdIn_(2)S_(4)/TiO_(2)heterojunction is proposed and separation process of photogenerated electron-hole pairs is *** brief,we aim to provide insights into the application of TiO_(2)in energy conversion processes through the construction of heterogeneous junctions.

Lateral-confined coaxial jet diffusion flame is common in micro thrusters,and the specific impulse is mainly obtained through thermodynamic calculations with an assumption of fuel combustion with an equivalence ratio,regardless of the stability of the combustion ***,the flame behavior plays an important impact on the performance of a micro thruster through the varied combustion *** stability of confined coaxial jet diffusion flames with air coflow was studied by experiments and numerical ***,hydrogen,and propane were used as *** attachment,liftoff,blowout(extinction limits of lifted flame),and blowoff(extinction limits of attached flame) behaviors with the effect of confinement ratios and fuel properties were focused *** the range of the jet flow velocity in this research,the hydrogen flame is always attached to the jet exit,the flame tip goes from closed to open as the jet velocity increases,while the flame transitions from attachment to liftoff in the case of Ch4 and ***,in a narrow confined space,the attached flame for both Ch4 and C3h8 undergoes liftoff followed by ***,in a space with a high confinement ratio,the Ch4 flame transitions directly from attachment to *** critical modified Craya-Curtet number,which is used to predict the onset of the recirculation,is determined through simulation and experiment,and the number is about *** work provides valuable data on flame stability inside a confined space and gives insights into the design of a thruster.

In this study,Mg-13.2Gd-4.3Ni alloys containing continuous bulk-shaped long-period stacking ordered(LPSO),lamellar LPSO,and a small amount of eutectic phase were prepared,and the evolution of microstructure at different extrusion temperatures and its influence on mechanical and degradation properties as well as corrosion mechanism were *** before extrusion can effectively promote the precipitation of lamellar LPSO in ***400 with higher volume fraction of non-DRXed grains exhibited higher strength,which was mainly due to strong texture,high dislocation density,and high volume fraction of lamellar *** EX420 with higher volume fraction of DRXed grains showed higher degradation rate,which was mainly due to the higher density of grain *** EX400 exhibited excellent comprehensive properties with tensile yield strength(TYS)of 334 MPa,ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of 484 MPa and elongation(EL)of 7.4%,ultimate compressive strength(UCS)of 638 MPa and compressive yield strength(CYS)of 443 MPa,degradation rate of 86.1 mg/cm^(2)/h at 93℃in 3 wt.%KCl solution.

α-Alh_(3)is regarded as one of the most promising hydrogen storage materials due to its high hydrogen storage capacity(10.1 wt.%,148 kg·m^(-3)).however,in practical applications,the associated hydrogen release temperature remains relatively *** effectively address this issue,hollow structured Fe@C nanorods derived from Fe-MOF are introduced as highly efficient catalyst to optimize the dehydrogenation properties ofα-Alh_(3).Comparatively,the initial hydrogen release temperature ofα-Alh_(3)+3 wt.%Fe@C is reduced to 94.2℃,which is significantly lower than that of pureα-Alh_(3)(137.8℃).At 100 and 120℃,it exhibits hydrogen capacities of 5.38 wt.%and 7.47 wt.%,respectively,whereas pureα-Alh_(3)only delivers hydrogen capacities of 0.24 wt.%and 5.94 wt.%under the same *** density functional theory(DFT)calculations further indicate that the existence of Fe@C catalyst can make the length of Al-h bond increase,which is more conducive to the release of *** results show that the synergistic effect of Fe and porous carbon in Fe@C nanorods can improve the hydrogen desorption kinetics ofα-Alh_(3),providing a good prospect for the application ofα-Alh_(3)in hydrogen storage fields.

A Ni–P alloy gradient coating consisting of multiple electroless Ni–P layers with various phosphorus contents was prepared on the aviation aluminum alloy. Several characterization and electrochemical techniques were used to characterize the different Ni–P coatings’ morphologies, phase structures, elemental compositions, and corrosion protection. The gradient coating showed good adhesion and high corrosion and wear resistance, enabling the application of aluminum alloy in harsh environments. The results showed that the double zinc immersion was vital in obtaining excellent adhesion (81.2 N). The optimal coating was not peeled and shredded even after bending tests with angles higher than 90°and was not corroded visually after 500 h of neutral salt spray test at 35℃. The high corrosion resistance was attributed to the misaligning of these micro defects in the three different nickel alloy layers and the amorphous structure of the high P content in the outer layer. These findings guide the exploration of functional gradient coatings that meet the high application requirement of aluminum alloy parts in complicated and harsh aviation environments.

Primary,secondary and tertiary amino-functionalized zirconia(ZrO_(2)-Nh_(2),ZrO_(2)-Nh and ZrO_(2)-N)was synthesized by the postgrafting method for the adsorption removal of typical metallic ions,phosphate and total oxidizable carbon from a real h_(2)O_(2) ***_(2)-Nh_(2),ZrO_(2)-Nh and ZrO_(2)-N exhibited similar pore sizes and sequentially increased zeta *** adsorption results of single and binary simulated solutions showed that the removal efficiency increased in the order of Fe^(3+)>Al^(3+)>Ca^(2+)>Na^(+).There is competitive adsorption between metallic ions,and Fe^(3+) has an advantage over the other metals,with a removal efficiency of 90.7%.The coexisting phosphate could promote the adsorption of metallic ions,while total oxidizable carbon had no effect on *** adsorption results of the real h_(2)O_(2)solution showed that ZrO_(2)-Nh_(2) exhibited the best adsorption affinity for metallic ions,as did phosphate and total oxidizable carbon,with a total adsorption capacity of 120.9 mg·g_(-1).Density functional theory calculations revealed that the adsorption process of metallic ions involves electron transfer from N atoms to metals and the formation of N-metal bonds.
