Retting h.s been employed to extract natural fibers from agricultural wastes as a biological and cost-effective approach.for *** its global abundance,banana pseudo-stem is a promising agro-waste for lignocellulosic fiber *** th.s study,fibers were extracted from th. pseudo-stems after being pre-treated under four conditions using seawater at room temperature for up to 35 d Bacterial isolation from th. fresh.seawater sample and screening for ligninolytic ability were *** load as well as laccase and manganese peroxidase enzyme activity profile assay during th. retting duration were *** transform infrared(FT-IR)and X-day diffraction(XRD)analyses were also examined for both.pre-treated and untreated extracted *** results sh.ws th.t six out of th. eigh. bacterial isolates h.d th. ability to degrade *** treatments(Raw stem+Raw seawater)and(Autoclaved stem+Raw seawater)recorded th. h.gh.st viable bacterial load of 9.24×102 and 4.46×102 CFU,respectively,on th. 14th.day of th. retting ***,th. h.gh.st laccase and manganese peroxidase enzymes activity was recorded for(Raw stem+Raw seawater)and(Autoclaved stem+Raw seawater)treatments in th. second to th. th.rd *** FT-IR spectra of th. pre-treated fibers revealed relative reductions in peaks attributed to polysacch.rides and oth.r amorph.us substances for all retting *** XRD diffractogram revealed th.t th. crystallinity index(CI)of pre-treated fibers increased in all seawater retting treatment ***,th. SC group and 12 in th. MC *** devised a meth.d of rat lung transplantation using a coronary SC for coronary artery bypass surgery as an anastomosis of pulmonary arteri-ovenous vessels and *** same surgeon performed all surgical proce-dures in th. donor and recipient rats with.ut using a magnifying *** success rate of lung transplantation,operating time,and PaO2 values were com-pared after 2-h.reperfusion after *** Ten and 12 lungs were successfully transplanted in th. SC and MC groups,*** th. 目的探索一种常规术前CT检查评估胸膜受侵的简单、无创技术。材料与方法本项回顾性研究经机构审查委员会批准,并签署关于初次级随访CT检查的知情同意书。评估术前CT表现(169例疑有胸膜受侵的病人)和手术切除后的病理诊断。在CT影像上测量原发肿瘤与邻近结构交界面的长度(弧距)和肿瘤的最大直径,然后计算弧距与肿瘤最大直径的比值。采用受试者操作特征(ROC)曲线分析该比值。结果应用国际抗癌联合会TNM分期系统,根据弧距与肿瘤最大直径比值的中位数将胸膜侵犯分级如下:pl1为0.206(第1—第3个百分位数:0～0.486);pl2为0.638(第1—第3个百分位数:0.385～0.830);pl3为1.092(第1—第3个百分位数,1.045～1.214)(组间P0.9时,胸膜受侵的敏感度、特异度及ROC曲线下面积分别为89.7%、96.0%和0.976,较应用常规标准测量值的敏感度和特异度(诊断医师A和B:分别为46.7%和74.2%,91.3%和84.8%)有所提高。结论应用弧距与肿瘤最大直径比值诊断T3或T4期肺癌可达到比应用常规标准更高的性能等级。弧距与肿瘤最大直径比值的测量是一种评估胸膜受侵的简单无创技术。

Objective To explore adverse effects of combined treatment of interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-18 (IL-18) against cryptococcosis in a murine *** Infected mice were treated with.a combination of IL-12 and IL-18. Th.ir body weigh. and intake of water and food were observed and recorded. Serum levels of leptin were detected with.an enzyme-linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA).Results In th. combined treatment group, th. intake volume of water and food were reduced, leading to weigh. loss and undetectable levels of leptin in th. serum. Th.se adverse effects were more profound in mice th.t h.d received h.gh.r doses of cytokines, wh.ch.sometimes led to a fatal outcome. Th.re was a significant difference compared with.th. control group. Neutralization of endogenous tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) by its specific mAb did not alter th. wasting effect of th.s *** Th. combined IL-12/IL-18 treatment may cause a number of adverse effects independent of TNF-α and leptin synth.sis. Furth.r investigations for resolving th.se adverse effects are required before clinical application of th.se cytokines.

Large grain niobium h.s th. potential of simplifying th. production sequence and consequently reducing th. cost of th. superconducting RF cavities for ILC. To investigate th. feasibility of fabrication and th. possibility to ach.eve h.gh.gradient by large grain cavities, two 1.3 Gh. cavities were made of Ch.na large grain niobium and a series of vertical tests were carried out following several different surfaces treatment procedures. Two cavities h.ve both.reach.d th. h.gh.gradient of more th.n 43 MV/m repeatedly and th. maximum accelerating field of 47.9 MV/m h.s been ach.eved by Ch.na large grain niobium. Th.s paper introduces th. features of th. fabrication and surface treatments on th. large grain cavities and presents th. preliminary results of th. research.

We describe a new active-set, cutting-plane Constraint Optimal Selection Tech.ique (COST) for solving general linear programming problems. We describe strategies to bound th. initial problem and simultaneously add multiple constraints. We give an interpretation of th. new COST’s selection rule, wh.ch.considers both.th. depth.of constraints as well as th.ir angles from th. objective function. We provide computational comparisons of th. COST with.existing linear programming algorith.s, including oth.r COSTs in th. literature, for some large-scale problems. Finally, we discuss conclusions and future research.

We carried out Sh.IMP zircon U-Pb dating on A-type granitic intrusions from th. Namaqua-Natal Province,South.Africa,Sverdrupfjella,western Dronning Maud Land,Antarctica and th. Nampula Province of north.rn *** grains in th.se granitic rocks are typically elongated and oscillatory zoned,suggesting magmatic *** from th. granitoid intrusions analyzed in th.s study suggest^1025-1100 Ma ages,wh.ch.confirm widespread Mesoproterozoic A-type granitic magmatism in th. Namaqua-Natal(South.Africa),Maud(Antarctica)and Mozambique metamorph.c *** older inh.rited(e.g.,~2500 Ma Ach.an basement or^1200 Ma island are magmatism in north.rn Natal)zircon grains were *** plutons from th. Natal Belt(Mvoti Pluton,Glendale Pluton,Kwalembe Pluton,Ntimbankulu Pluton)display 1050-1040 Ma ages,wh.reas th. Nth.imbitwa Pluton in north.rn Natal indicates older 1090-1080 Ma ages.A sample from Sverdrupfjella,Antarctica h.s^1091 Ma old zircons along with.530 Ma metamorph.c ***,four samples analysed from th. Nampula Province of Mozambique suggest crystallization ages of^1060-1090 Ma but also sh.w significant discordance with.two samples sh.wing younger^550 Ma *** of th. Natal samples sh.w any younger overgrowth..A single sample from south.estern Namaqualand yielded an age of^1033 *** available ch.onological data suggest magmatism took place in th.
