Electronic and magnetic structures of iron selenide compounds ce2O2FeSe2 （2212＊） and BaFe2Se3 （123＊） are studied by the first-principles calculations. We find that while all these compounds are composed of one-dimensional （1D） Fe chain （or ladder） structures, their electronic structures are not close to be quasi-lD. The magnetic exchange couplings between two nearest-neighbor （NN） chains in 2212＊ and between two NN two-leg-ladders in 123＊ are both antiferromagnetic （AFM）, which is consistent with the presence of significant third NN AFM coupling, a common feature shared in other iron-chalcogenides, FeTe （11＊） and KyFe2-xSe2 （122＊）. In magnetic ground states, each Fe chain of 2212＊ is ferromagnetic and each two-leg ladder of 123＊ form a block-AFM structure. We suggest that all magnetic structures in iron-selenide compounds can be unified into an extended J1-J2-J3 model. Spin-wave excitations of the model are calculated and can be tested by future experiments on these two systems.

Understanding plant resistance to pathogenic microbes requires detailed information on the molecular mechanisms controlling the execution of plant innate immune responses. A growing body of evidence places phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase c （PI-PLc） en- zymes immediately downstream of activated immune receptors, well upstream of the initiation of early defense responses. An increase of the cytoplasmic levels of free ca2＋, lowering of the intercellular ph and the oxidative burst are a few examples of such responses and these areregulated by PI-PLcs. consequently, PI-PLc activation represents an early primary signaling switch between elicitation and response involving the controlled hydrolysis of essential signaling phospholipids, thereby simulta- neously generating lipid and non-lipid second messenger molecules required for a swift cellular defense response. here, we elaborate on the signals generated by PI-PLcs and their respective downstream effects, while providing an inventory of different types of evidence describing the involvement of PI-PLcs in various aspects of plant immunity. We project the discussed information into a model describing the cellular events occurring after the activation of plant immune receptors. With this review we aim to provide new insights supporting future research on plant PI-PLcs and the development of plants with improved resistance.

AIM: To clarify the effect of SEN virus (SENV) infection on a combination therapy including interferon alfa (IFN-α) or pegylated-IFN with ribavirin in patients with chronic hepatitis and the effect of a combination therapy on ***: SENV DNA was determined by polymerase chain reaction in serum samples from 95 patients with chronic hepatitis c. Quantitative analysis was done for SENV h ***: Twenty-one (22%) of 95 patients were positive for SENV DNA. There was no difference in clinical and biochemical parameters between patients with hcV infection alone and coinfected patients. The sustained response rate for hcV clearance after combination therapy did not differ between patients with SENV (52%) and without SENV(50%, n.s.). SENV DNA was undetectable in 76% of the initially SENV positive patients at the end of follow-up. SENV h response to combination therapy was significantly correlated with SENV DNA level (P=-0.05).cONcLUSION: SENV infection had no influence on the hcV sustained response rate to the combination *** rate of SENV to the combination therapy depends on SENV DNA level.

Rockfalls can cause serious damage to people,property,facilities and transportation ***,rockfalls are major hazards in mountain areas with negative impacts on individual trees and forested *** conducted a study of rockfall events on 117 mapped(91% of total trees in the stand with>1.3 m in height and>5 cm diameter at breast height)Turkish fir trees(Abies bornmuelleriana Mattf.)in a stand within the Kayaarkasi-Topular Village,Inebolu district, Kastamonu province of *** study site of 0.35 ha is located on the transition zone of frequently passing rockfall fragments(～40 cm in diameter) generally causing healable *** of trees and injuries were recorded and analysed as to injury number,height and *** correlation analysis were used to investigate the relationships between:a)diameter at breast height and number of injuries per tree,b)diameter at breast height and total injury size,c)the number of injuries and total injury size and d)the number of injuries per tree and distance from the source of the rockfall *** indicate that the average height of injury,average number of injuries and average injury area to be 81.3 cm(STDEV:49.8),7.46(STDEV:4.4)and 628.6 cm2 (STDEV:678.2),*** total 84% of all injuries were recorded within 160°sector at the upslope side of trees and callus tissue that had closed wounds was observed in 79.1% of all injuries. Furthermore 14.5% of injured trees had callus tissue in the process of closing wounds while 6.4% of injuries had not formed any callus *** most common injury types were bark and wood injuries. Bivariate correlation analysis indicated strong relationships between diameter at breast height and the number of injuries(rs=0.524),injury number and total injury area(rs=0.653)and distance from rockfall area and injury numbers relations(rs=-0.518).A weaker relationship was found between diameter at breast height and total injury area(rs=0.363).These results

The crystal structure of the title complex (cO) 5ReSnMe 2Re(cO) 5, (c 12 h 6O 10 Re 2Sn, M r =801.27), has been determined by single crystal X ray diffraction. The crystal is monoclinic with space group P2 1/n (NO.14), a=10.587(2), b=12.392(2), c = 14.594(3) , β = 100.59(3)°, V = 1882(1) 3, D x = 2.828 g·cm -3 , F(000)=1432, μ =14.3759mm -1 , Z =4, and final R =0 0440 and R w =0 0483 for 1954 reflections ( I≥3σ(I )). In the complex the Sn atom is connected to two methyl groups and two Re atoms which are in slightly distorted tetrahedral arrangement. The Re atom is coordinated by five carbonyl ligands and one Sn atom, forming an octahedral structure.

elphbolt is a modern Fortran (2018 standard) code for efficiently solving the coupled electron–phonon Boltzmann transport equations from first *** results from density functional and density functional perturbation theory as inputs,it can calculate the effect of the non-equilibrium phonons on the electronic transport (phonon drag) and non-equilibrium electrons on the phononic transport (electron drag) in a fully self-consistent manner and obeying the constraints mandated by *** can calculate the lattice,charge,and thermoelectric transport coefficients for the temperature gradient and electric fields,and the effect of the mutual electron–phonon drag on these transport *** code fully exploits the symmetries of the crystal and the transport-active window to allow the sampling of extremely fine electron and phonon wave vector meshes required for accurately capturing the drag *** coarray feature of modern Fortran,which offers native and convenient support for parallelization,is *** code is compact,readable,well-documented,and extensible by design.
