Acute central nervous system injuries,including ischemic stro ke,intracerebral hemorrhage,subarachnoid hemorrhage,traumatic brain injury,and spinal co rd injury,are a major global health *** optimal therapies and improving the long-term neurological functions of patients with acute central nervous system injuries are urgent *** are susceptible to damage after acute central nervous system injury,and this leads to the release of toxic levels of reactive oxygen species,which induce cell ***,a selective form of autophagy,is crucial in eliminating redundant or damaged mitochondria during these *** evidence has highlighted the significant role of mitophagy in acute central nervous system *** this review,we provide a comprehensive overview of the process,classification,and related mechanisms of *** also highlight the recent developments in research into the role of mitophagy in various acute central nervous system injuries and drug therapies that regulate *** the final section of this review,we emphasize the potential for treating these disorders by focusing on mitophagy and suggest future research paths in this area.

Insertion of Supramolecular Segments into Covalently Crosslinked Polyurethane Networks towards the Fabrication of Recyclable Elastomers

Thermoset plastics have become one of the most important chemical products in the world. The consequent problem is that although the thermosets possess excellent performance in mechanical strength, they cannot be reprocessed because of the internal permanent network structures. Optimizing the molecular design of thermosets is one of the most feasible ways to improve their recyclability. Here we present a facile and robust strategy to engineer the reprocessability of thermoset polyurethanes without compromising their mechanical toughness and chemical resistance via adding supramolecular additives during the polymer synthesis process. By using a multiple hydrogen bonding moiety as the model supramolecular additive, we demonstrate that the mechanical properties, recyclability, and chemical resistance of the crosslinked polyurethanes can be precisely controlled by adjusting the contents of the supramolecular additive. Systematic studies on the relations between molecular design and material properties are performed, and the optimized polyurethane network with a moderate amount of the supramolecular additive achieves the right balance between the robustness and recyclability. This work provides a cost-effective and practical way to chemically engineer thermoset plastics, aiming to enable the recycling of mechanically tough and chemically stable polymer materials.

Failure strain determination of polymer-supported thin films is a key for the design of the flexible devices.A theoretical model R/R0=(L/L0)2(R,L are the electrical resistance and the length of the stretched film,respectively.R0,L0 are the corresponding initial values.)has been widely used to determine the fracture strain of thin films on flexible ***,this equation loses its function in some special ***,a simple and universal theoretical model was proposed to determine the fracture strain of metal thin films on flexible substrates in more generally *** this model,we investigated the thicknessdependent failure strains of Cu-5 at.%Al films with thickness of 10 nm,200 nm,1000 nm,and Ti films with thickness of 50 nm,100 nm,300 *** model was also employed to study the published data *** results showed that the new model provided a fairly good prediction of the failure strains of different films.

Recent Advances of Porous Solids for Ultradilute CO_(2) Capture

The urgency of dealing with global climate change caused by greenhouse gas(GHG) emissions is increasing as the carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) concentration in the atmosphere has reached a record high value of 416 ppm(parts per million). Technologies that remove CO_(2) from the surrounding air(direct air capture, DAC) could result in negative carbon emissions, and thus attracts increasing attention. The steady technical progress in adsorption-based CO_(2) separation greatly advanced the DAC, which largely relies on advanced sorbent materials. This review focuses on the latest development of porous solids for air capture;first discussed the main types of sorbents for air capture, which include porous carbons, zeolites, silica materials, and metal-organic frameworks(MOFs), particularly their modified counterparts. Then, we evaluated their performances, including uptake and selectivity under dry and humid CO_(2) streams for practical DAC application. Finally, a brief outlook on remaining challenges and potential directions for future DAC development is given.

A surface engineering strategy for the stabilization of zinc metal anodes with montmorillonite layers toward long-life rechargeable aqueous zinc ion batteries

Rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion batteries （AZIBs） exhibit appreciable potential in the domain of electrochemical energy ***,there are serious challenges for AZIBs,for instance zinc dendrite growth,hydrogen evolution reaction （HER）,and corrosion side ***,we propose a surface engineering modification strategy for coating the montmorillonite （MMT） layer onto the surface of the Zn anode to tackle these issues,thereby achieving high cycling stability for rechargeable *** results reveal that the MMT layer on the surface of the Zn anode is able to provide ordered zincophilic channels for zinc ions migration,facilitating the reaction kinetics of zinc *** functional theory（DFT） calculations and water contact angle （CA） tests prove that MMT@Zn anode exhibits superior adsorption capacity for Zn2+and better hydrophobicity than the bare Zn anode,thereby achieving excellent cycling ***,the MMT@Zn||MMT@Zn symmetric cell holds the stable cycling over 5600 h at 0.5 mA cm-2and 0.125 m A h cm-2,even exceeding 1800 h long cycling under harsh conditions of 5 m A cm-2and 1.25 m A h *** MMT@Zn||V2O5full cell reaches over 3000 cycles at 2 A g-1with excellent rate ***,this surface engineering modification strategy for enhancing the electrochemical performance of AZIBs represents a promising application.

Molecular simulation study of the microstructures and properties of pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]mixed with acetonitrile

The microstructures and thermodynamic properties of mixed systems comprising pyridinium ionic liquid[HPy][BF_(4)]and acetonitrile at different mole fractions were studied using molecular dynamics simulation in this *** following properties were determined:density,self-diffusion coefficient,excess molar volume,and radial distribution *** results show that with an increase in the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the self-diffusion coefficient ***,the excess molar volume initially decreases,reaches a minimum,and then *** rules of radial distribution functions(RDFs)of characteristic atoms are *** increasing the mole fraction of[HPy][BF_(4)],the first peak of the RDFs of HA1-F decreases,while that of CT6-CT6 rises at first and then *** indicates that the solvent molecules affect the polar and non-polar regions of[HPy][BF_(4)]differently.

Correlation between Characteristics of Coronary Plaque and Chinese Medicine Syndromes of Coronary Heart Disease:A Cross-Sectional Study Analysed by Intravascular Ultrasound

Objective:To analyse the correlation between the characteristics of coronary plaque in coronary heart disease(CHD)patients with phlegm-blood stasis syndrome(PBS)and blood stasis syndrome(BSS).Methods:Patients were divided into different groups based on Chinese medicine(CM)syndrome *** baseline demographics and clinical variables were collected from the medical ***,the characteristics of plaque and pathological manifestations in coronary artery were evaluated intravascular ultrasound(IVUS).Results:A total of 213 CHD patients were enrolled in two groups:184 were diagnosed with PBS and the remaining 29 were diagnosed with *** were no significant differences in age,body mases index,proportions of patients with high blood pressure,diabetes mellitus,smoking,hyperlipidemia,history of coronary artery bypass graft and percutaneous coronary intervention,medications,index from cardiac ultrasound image,blood lipids and C-reactive protein between the two groups(P>0.05),except gender,weight and proportions of OVUS observed target vessels(Pxus and coronary artery bypass surgery)scores(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Moreover,dense-calcium was significantly elevated in PBS(P<0.01).Conclusions:Coronary plaque characteristics were correlated with different CM *** with PBS were associated with a higher degree of calcified plaque and severe coronary artery stenosis,indicating poor clinical prognosis but with a low probability of acute coronary *** contrast,the degree of calcified plaque in patients with BSS remained relatively low,

Research on shell-side heat and mass transfer with multi-component in LNG spiral-wound heat exchanger under sloshing conditions

The spiral-wound heat exchanger(SWHE) is the primary low-temperature heat exchanger for large-scale LNG plants due to its high-pressure resistance, compact structure, and high heat exchange efficiency. This paper studied the shell-side heat and mass transfer characteristics of vapor-liquid two-phase mixed refrigerants in an SWHE by combining a multi-component model in FLUENT software with a customized multicomponent mass transfer model. Besides, the mathematical model under the sloshing condition was obtained through mathematical derivation, and the corresponding UDF code was loaded into FLUENT as the momentum source term. The results under the sloshing conditions were compared with the relevant parameters under the steady-state condition. The shell-side heat and mass transfer characteristics of the SWHE were investigated by adjusting the component ratio and other working conditions. It was found that the sloshing conditions enhance the heat transfer performance and sometimes have insignificant effects. The sloshing condition is beneficial to reduce the flow resistance. The comprehensive performance of multi-component refrigerants has been improved and the improvement is more significant under sloshing conditions, considering both the heat transfer and pressure *** results will provide theoretical support for the research and design of multi-component heat and mass transfer enhancement of LNG SWHE under ocean sloshing conditions.
