Here,we present a unique method to enhance the low-frequency absorption performance of a honeycomb absorber by integrating a *** geometrical dimensions of the proposed metasurface have been numerically *** introduction of the metasurface allows exploitation of its robust resonance and superior impedance matching in low-frequency bands,thereby improving microwave absorption *** incorporation of the metasurface does not impact the wave transmission performance of the honeycomb core absorber at high-frequency band,thus preserving its high-frequency *** broadens the absorption range,leading to an expanded *** results reveal that the composite absorber(CA)exhibits strong absorption performance with an incident angle stability up to 45°for both transverse electric(TE)and transverse magnetic(TM)*** absorption mechanism of the CA has been investigated by using an equivalent circuit model and electromagnetic field analysis.A prototype was designed,fabricated,and tested to validate the proposed *** simulation and measurement results demonstrate that the prototype can achieve an average absorption rate exceeding 90%across a 1.0-18.0 GHz *** study introduces an innovative technique for creating microwave absorbers for low-frequency wideband applications.

In core-shell silver nanoclusters,the control of core structure presents a more formidable challenge compared to that of the shell ***,we report the successful synthesis and characterization of four distinct silver thiolate nanoclusters[MS_(4)@Ag_(12)@Ag_(46)S_(24)(dppb)_(12)](M=Mo or W),each incorporating a cup-like[MS_(4)@Ag_(12)]^(2+)*** nanoclusters were meticulously prepared using(NH_(4))2Mo S4or(NH_(4))_(2)WS_(4)as both a template and a controlled source of ***,we have observed a unique configuration within these eight-electron superatomic Ag_(58) nanoclusters,where the zerovalent Ag atoms reside exclusively within the inner[MS_(4)@Ag_(12)]^(2+)*** stands in contrast to other superatomic clusters possessing an Ag(0)***,the introduction of phenyl-containing compounds during the synthesis process induced a transformation in the space group symmetry from C_(2)/c to I 4ˉ.This transformative effect was found to originate from the interplay between adjacent 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)butane(dppb)ligands,which facilitated enhanced emission through aggregationinduced intermolecular interactions,specifically C-H···π***,our findings contribute substantively to the understanding of the intricate relationship between nanocluster structures and their corresponding properties,shedding light on the crucial roles played by templates and diphosphine ligands in this context.

The backreaming operation plays a significant role in safe drilling for horizontal wellbores, while it may cause severe stuck pipe accidents. To lower the risk of the stuck pipe in backreaming operations, the mechanism of cuttings transport needs to be carefully investigated. In this research, a transient cuttings transport with multiple flow patterns model is developed to predict the evolution of cuttings transported in the annulus while backreaming. The established model can provide predictions of the distribution of cuttings bed along the wellbore considering the bulldozer effect caused by large-size drilling tools(LSDTs). The sensitivity analyses of the size of LSDTs, and backreaming operating parameters are conducted in Section 4. And a new theory is proposed to explain the mechanism of cuttings transport in the backreaming operation, in which both the bit and LSDTs have the “cleaning effect” and “plugging effect”.The results demonstrate that the cuttings bed in annuli is in a state of dynamic equilibrium, but the overall trend and the distribution pattern are obvious. First, larger diameters and longer drilling tools could lead to a higher risk of the stuck pipe. Second, we find that it is not the case that the higher flow rate is always better for hole cleaning, so three flow-rate intervals are discussed separately under the given conditions. When the “dangerous flow rate”(35 L/s in Case 4),the higher the flow rate, the better the cleaning effect of cuttings beds. Brain functional networks model the brain's ability to exchange information across different regions,aiding in the understanding of the cognitive process of human visual attention during target searching,thereby contributing to the advancement of camouflage *** this study,images with various camouflage effects were presented to observers to generate electroencephalography(EEG)signals,which were then used to construct a brain functional *** topological parameters of the network were subsequently extracted and input into a machine learning model for *** results indicate that most of the classifiers achieved accuracy rates exceeding 70%.Specifically,the Logistic algorithm achieved an accuracy of 81.67%.Therefore,it is possible to predict target camouflage effectiveness with high accuracy without the need to calculate discovery *** proposed method fully considers the aspects of human visual and cognitive processes,overcomes the subjectivity of human interpretation,and achieves stable and reliable accuracy.

Span-based joint extraction simultaneously conducts named entity recognition(NER) and relation extraction(RE) in a text span form. However, since previous span-based models rely on span-level classifications, they cannot benefit from token-level label information, which has been proven advantageous for the task. In this paper, we propose a sequence tagging augmented span-based network(STSN), a spanbased joint model that can make use of token-level label information. In STSN, we construct a core neural architecture by deep stacking multiple attention layers, each of which consists of three basic attention *** the one hand, the core architecture enables our model to learn token-level label information via the sequence tagging mechanism and then uses the information in the span-based joint extraction; on the other hand, it establishes a bi-directional information interaction between NER and RE. Experimental results on three benchmark datasets show that STSN consistently outperforms the strongest baselines in terms of F1,creating new state-of-the-art results.

Two-dimensional(2D)anisotropic materials have garnered significant attention in the realm of anisotropic optoelectronic devices due to their remarkable electrical,optical,thermal,and mechanical *** extensive research has delved into the optical and electrical characteristics of these materials,there remains a need for further exploration to identify novel materials and structures capable of fulfilling device requirements under various ***,we employ heterojunction interface engineering with black phosphorus(BP)to disrupt the C_(3) rotational symmetry of monolayer WS_(2).The resulting WS_(2)/BP heterostructure exhibits pronounced anisotropy in exciton emissions,with a measured anisotropic ratio of 1.84 for neutral *** a comprehensive analysis of magnetic-field-dependent and temperature-evolution photoluminescence spectra,we discern varying trends in the polarization ratio,notably observing a substantial anisotropy ratio of 1.94 at a temperature of 1.6 K and a magnetic field of 9 *** dynamic behavior is attributed to the susceptibility of the WS_(2)/BP heterostructure interface strain to fluctuations in magnetic fields and *** findings provide valuable insights into the design of anisotropic optoelectronic devices capable of adaptation to a range of magnetic fields and temperatures,thereby advancing the frontier of material-driven device engineering.

Titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))hollow nanoparticles present significant potential for photocatalytic applications while their straightforward preparation with precise structure control is still *** work reports the approach to preparing tunable hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres by utilization of spherical polyelectrolyte brushes(SPB)as nanoreactors and *** the preparation,the evolution of the structure was characterized by small angle X-ray scattering(SAXS),and in combination with dynamic light scattering and transmission electron *** formation of TiO_(2) shell within the brush(SPB@TiO_(2))is confirmed by the significant increase of the electron density,and its internal structure has been analyzed by fitting SAXS data,which can be influenced by Titanium precursors and ammonia *** calcining SPB@TiO_(2) in a muffle furnace,hollow TiO_(2) nanospheres are produced,and their transition to the anatase crystal form is triggered,as confirmed by X-ray diffraction *** the advantages of their hollow structure,these TiO_(2) nanospheres exhibit exceptional catalytic degradation efficiency of methylene blue(MB),tetracycline(TC),and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid(2,4-D),and also demonstrate excellent recyclability.

Breaking the Fe_(3)O_(4)-wrapped copper microstructure to enhance copper-slag separation

The precipitation of Fe_(3)O_(4)particles and the accompanied formation of Fe_(3)O_(4)-wrapped copper structure are the main obstacles to copper recovery from the molten slag during the pyrometallurgical smelting of copper ***,the commercial powdery pyrite or anthracite is replaced with pyrite-anthracite pellets as the reductants to remove a large amount of Fe_(3)O_(4)particles in the molten slag,resulting in a deep fracture in the Fe_(3)O_(4)-wrapped copper microstructure and the full exposure of the copper matte *** 1wt%composite pellet is used as the reductant,the copper matte droplets are enlarged greatly from 25μm to a size observable by the naked eye,with the copper content being enriched remarkably from 1.2wt%to 4.5wt%.Density functional theory calculation results imply that the formation of the Fe_(3)O_(4)-wrapped copper structure is due to the preferential adhesion of Cu_(2)S on the Fe_(3)O_(4)particles.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,Fourier transform infrared spectrometer(FTIR),and Raman spectroscopy results all reveal that the high-efficiency conver-sion of Fe_(3)O_(4)to FeO can decrease the volume fraction of the solid phase and promote the depolymerization of silicate network *** a consequence,the settling of copper matte droplets is enhanced due to the lowered slag viscosity,contributing to the high efficiency of copper-slag separation for copper *** results provide new insights into the enhanced in-situ enrichment of copper from mol-ten slag.
