Evaluation of abandonment and recovery operation of steel lazy-wave riser in deepwater is presented in this *** calculation procedure includes two single continuous SLWR and cable segments, which are coupled together to form the overall mathematical model. Then the equilibrium equations of SLWR and cable are established based on minimum total potential energy principle. The coupled equations are discretized by the finite difference method and solved by Newton-Raphson technique in an iterative manner. The present method is validated by well-established commercial code OrcaFlex. Recovery methods by considering different ratios of vessel’s moving velocity to cable’s recovery velocity are evaluated to optimize the abandonment and recovery operation. In order to keep the tension more stable during the recovery process, the rate ratio before leaving the seabed is increased, and the rate ratio after leaving the seabed is reduced.

Samples collected from most industrial processes have two challenges: one is contaminated by the non-Gaussian noise, and the other is gradually *** feature can obviously reduce the accuracy and generalization of models. To handle these challenges, a novel method, named the robust online extreme learning machine(RO-ELM), is proposed in this paper, in which the least mean p-power criterion is employed as the cost function which is to boost the robustness of the ELM, and the forgetting mechanism is introduced to discard the obsolescence samples. To investigate the performance of the ROELM, experiments on artificial and real-world datasets with the non-Gaussian noise are performed, and the datasets are from regression or classification problems. Results show that the RO-ELM is more robust than the ELM, the online sequential ELM(OS-ELM) and the OSELM with forgetting mechanism(FOS-ELM). The accuracy and generalization of the RO-ELM models are better than those of other models for online learning.

The degree of penetration can directly reflect the forming quality of laser welding. The fine-grained feature of the molten pool/keyhole image brings challenges to the vision-based laser welding penetration status recognition. In this paper, a novel knowledge-and-data-hybrid driven recognition model is proposed for solving the problem of difficult learning of discriminative visual features of molten pool/keyhole images. In addition, a label semantic attention mechanism(LSA) is designed with three modules: representation of image visual feature, representation of labels semantic feature, and generation of label semantic attention. For learning discriminative features in visual space, LSA uses discriminative information in label semantics to guide the convolutional neural network. The experimental results show that the proposed LSA method has faster convergence and higher accuracy than the traditional attention mechanism. Further comparative experiments reveal that LSA is less dependent on the amount of training data and model complexity. The results of visualization experiments show that the visual features learned by the proposed method are more discriminative.

Nanofluids Transport Model Based on Fokker-Planck Equation and the Convection Heat Transfer Calculation

In current research about nanofluid convection heat transfer, random motion of nanoparticles in the liquid distribution problem mostly was not considered. In order to study on the distribution of nanoparticles in liquid, nanofluid transport model in pipe is established by using the continuity equation, momentum equation and Fokker-Planck equation. The velocity distribution and the nanoparticles distribution in liquid are obtained by numerical calculation, and the effect of particle size and particle volume fraction on convection heat transfer coefficient of nanofluids is analyzed. The result shows that in high volume fraction （ 0 _-- 0.8% ）, the velocity distribution of nanofluids characterizes as a ＂cork-shaped＂ structure, which is significantly different from viscous fluid with a parabolic distribution. The convection heat transfer coefficient increases while the particle size of nanoparticle in nanofluids decreases. And the convection heat transfer coefficient of nanofluids is in good agreement with the experimental result both in low （0 ~〈 0.1% ） and high （ q = 0.6% ） volume fractions. In presented model, Brown motion, the effect of interactions between nanoparticles and fluid coupling, is also considered, but any phenomenological parameter is not introduced. Nanoparticles in liquid transport distribution can be quantitatively calculated by this model.
