Numerical simulation and experiment of error field measurement using luminous trace of electron beam in SST-1

In contrast to the earlier experiments conducted in other machines, here, in SST-1 the error field measurement experiment is performed with a filled gas pressure ~8×10^-4 mbar which helped to create a luminescent toroidal beam of electron path originated due to impact excitation and guided by the toroidal magnetic field. Beam path deviations are observed and recorded from radial and top ports using visible range cameras. Such creation and detection of the electron beam path differs from the earlier works where the gun emitted electron beam deviation in ultrahigh vacuum was detected on a collector-grid/fluorescent screen. In the present experiment, large beam deviations were observed. Later investigation of the experimental set-up reveals existence of a possible source of radial electric field in between the source and the vacuum vessel which are separately grounded. Thus, to understand the observed phenomena, experiments are numerically modeled with deviated TF coil set, PF coil set and the electron source location. A particle tracing code is used to follow the electron path in the magnetic field generated by the coil set of interest. Simulation results suggest that the large deviation corresponds to the E×B drifts and not due to the large field errors. Toroidally averaged field errors of the SST-1 TF coils at toroidal field of B0?=?15 kG are negligibly small ~B0?×?10^-6 or less, which should not adversely affect the plasma performance.

The creation of biomimetic cell environments with micro and nanoscale topographical features resembling native tissues is critical for tissue engineering. To address this challenge, this study focuses on an innovative electrospinning strategy that adopts a symmetrically divergent electric field to induce rapid self-assembly of aligned polycaprolactone(PCL) nanofibers into a centimeter-scale architecture between separately grounded bevels. The 3d microstructures of the nanofiber scaffolds were characterized through a series of sectioning in both vertical and horizontal directions. PCL/collagen(type I)nanofiber scaffolds with different density gradients were incorporated in sodium alginate hydrogels and subjected to elemental analysis. Human fibroblasts were seeded onto the scaffolds and cultured for 7 days. Our studies showed that the inclination angle of the collector had significant effects on nanofiber attributes, including the mean diameter, density gradient, and alignment gradient. The fiber density and alignment at the peripheral area of the 45°-collector decreased by 21% and 55%, respectively, along the z-axis,while those of the 60°-collector decreased by 71% and 60%, respectively. By altering the geometry of the conductive areas on the collecting bevels, polyhedral and cylindrical scaffolds composed of aligned fibers were directly fabricated. By using a four-bevel collector, the nanofibers formed a matrix of microgrids with a density of 11%. The gradient of nitrogen-to-carbon ratio in the scaffold-incorporated hydrogel was consistent with the nanofiber density gradient. The scaffolds provided biophysical stimuli to facilitate cell adhesion, proliferation, and morphogenesis in 3d.

Let Ω be a domain in RN. It is shown that a generalized Poincaré inequality holds in cones contained in the Sobolev space Wl,P（）（Ω）, where p（.）： Ω → [1, ∞[ is a variable exponent. This inequality is itself a corollary to a more general result about equivalent norms over such cones. The approach in this paper avoids the difficulty arising from the possible lack of density of the space ;d（Ω） in the space {v ∈ Wl,P（）（Ω）; tr v = 0 on δΩ}. Two applications are also discussed.

Under strong seismic excitation, a rigid block will uplift from its support and undergo rocking oscillations which may lead to （complete） overturning. Numerical and analytical solutions to this highly nonlinear vibration problem are first highlighted in the paper and then utilized to demonstrate how sensitive the overturning behavior is not only to the intensity and frequency content of the base motion, but also to thc presence of strong pulses, to their detailed sequence, and even to their asymnletry. Five idealised pulses capable of representing ＂rupture-directivity＂ and ＂fling＂ affected ground motions near the fault, are utilized to this end ： the one-cycle sinus, the one-cycle cosinus, the Ricker wavelet, the truncated （T）-Ricker wavelet, and the rectangular pulse ＂Overturning-Acceleration Amplification＂ and ＂Rotation＂ spectra are introduced and presented. Artificial neural network modeling is then developed as an alternative numerical solution. The neural network analysis leads to closed-form expressions for predicting the overturning failure or survival of a rigid block, as a function of its geometric properties and the characteristics of the excitation time history. The capability of the developed neural network modeling is validated through comparisons with the numerical solution. The derived analytical expressions could also serve as a tool for assessing the destructiveness of near-fault ground motions, for structures sensitive to rocking with foundation uplift.

Packaging material has an important role in extending the shelf-life of *** study investigated the effectiveness of cellulose nanocrystals(CNCs)derived from Kudzu(Pueraria montana)vine to reinforce to starch-based *** addition,the essential oil was incorporated into these nanocomposite films to evaluate further improvement in film properties and *** packaging materials,including the pearl millet starch(PMS),PMS reinforced with Kudzu CNCs,and PMS reinforced with Kudzu CNCs stabilized pickering emulsion containing clove bud oil(CBO),was used to develop biodegradable nanocomposite *** films were investigated for their thermal,morphological,mechanical,and barrier *** addition,the films were used as packaging material to improve the shelf life of the grapes for 15 days at 5℃.PMS films reinforced with Kudzu CNCs stabilized pickering emulsion of CBO were most effective in extending the shelf life of red grapes up to 15 days at 5℃ by maintaining the weight,firmness,and soluble solids in grapes for a longer duration during *** study suggests that PMS+Kudzu CNCs+EO films have the potential for commercial packaging of fruits during short storage periods without adversely affecting their quality and sensory attributes.

Purpose:This systematic review aimed to describe objective sleep parameters for athletes under different conditions and address potential sleep issues in this specific ***:PubMed and Scopus were searched from inception to April *** studies measured sleep only via objective evaluation tools such as polysomnography or *** modified version of the Newcastle-Ottawa Scale was used for the quality assessment of the ***:Eighty-one studies were included,of which 56 were classified as medium quality,5 studies as low quality,and 20 studies as high quality.A total of 1830 athletes were monitored over 18,958 *** values for sleep-related parameters were calculated for all athletes according to sex,age,athletic expertise level,training season,and type of *** slept on average 7.2±1.1 h/night(mean±Sd),with 86.3%±6.8%sleep efficiency(SE).In all datasets,the athletes’mean total sleep time wasduced SE was attributed to high wake after sleep onset rather than sleep onset *** heavy training periods,sleep duration and SE were on average 36 min and 0.8%less compared to pre-season and 42 min and 3.0%less compared to in-season training periods,***:Athletes’sleep duration was found to be short with low SE,in comparison to the general consensus for non-athlete healthy *** sleep issues were revealed in young *** quality and architecture tend to change across different training periods.
