Anode materials for Li-ion batteries(LIBs)utilized in electric vehicles,portable electronics,and other devices are mainly graphite(Gr)and its ***,the limited energy density of Gr-based anodes promotes the exploration of alternative anode materials such as silicon(Si)-based materials because of their abundance in nature and low ***,Si can store 10 times more energy than Gr and also has the potential to enhance the energy density of *** the many advantages of Si-based anodes,such as high theoretical capacity and low price,their widespread use is hindered by two major issues:charge-induced volume expansion and unreliable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)*** this detailed review,we highlight the key issues,current advances,and prospects in the rational design of Si-based electrodes for practical *** first explain the fundamental electrochemistry of Si and the importance of Si-based anodes in *** excessive volume increase,relatively low charge efficiency,and inadequate areal capacity of Si-based anodes are discussed to identify the barriers in enhancing their performance in ***,the use of binders(e.g.,linear polymer binders,branched polymer binders,cross-linked polymer binders,and conjugated conductive polymer binders),material-based anode composites(such as carbon and its derivatives,metal oxides,and MXenes),and liquid electrolyte construction techniques are highlighted to overcome the identified ***,tailoring Si-based materials and reshaping their surfaces and interfaces,including improving binders and electrolytes,are shown to be viable approaches to address their drawbacks,such as volume expansion,low charge efficiency,and poor areal ***,we highlight that research and development on Si-based anodes are indispensable for their use in commercial applications.

A photonic implementation of a wavelength meter typically applies an interferometer to measure the frequencydependent phase shift provided by an optical delay *** work shows that the information to be retrieved is encoded by a vector restricted to a circular cone within a 3D Cartesian object *** measured data belong to the image of the object space under a linear orthogonal *** impairments result in broken orthogonal symmetry,but the mapping remains *** circular cone is retained as the object space,which suggests that the conventional conic section fitting for the wavelength meter application is a premature reduction of the object space from R^(3)to R^(2).The inverse map,constructed by a learning algorithm,compensates impairments such as source intensity fluctuation and errors in delay time,coupler transmission,and photoreceiver sensitivity while being robust to *** simple algorithm does not require initial estimates for all parameters except for a broad bracket of the delay;further,weak nonlinearity introduced by uncertain delay can be corrected by a robust golden search *** phase-retrieval process is invariant to source power and its *** demonstrate that,to the extent that the ten parameters of the interferometer model capture all significant impairments,a precision limited only by the level of random noise is *** to measured data collected from a fabricated Si_(3)N_(4)wavelength meter,greater than an order of magnitude improvement in precision compared with the conventional method is achieved.

In this article we consider a class of multiagent dynamic systems with uncertainties and the problem of moving in a predefined formation along a reference trajectory. The reference trajectory is generated by switched exosystems each of which are neutrally stable and have unknown parameters. The problem is formulated as a nonlinear servomechanism problem and an adaptive internal model based controller is used to solve this problem. Various formation maneuvers such as expansion/contraction, rotation, and reconfiguration （change of shape） are also considered. The performance of the system is verified with simple numerical simulations.

Migration from electrical domain to optical domain has raised the necessity of developing node architectures with optical *** optical delay line（COD） emulates output buffering in a 2x2 switching *** versions of COD are track changer（TC） and twin track changer（TTC）.These approaches can be used as a buffered switching element in a Banyan like *** this paper we investigate and compare these approaches by using simulation *** performance metrics, such as throughput-delay ratio,packet loss rate have been used under uniform and non-uniform traffic models. Results show that TC-chain node Banyan network offer an improved throughput-delay ratio performance under both traffic models.

Mitochondrial DNA sequences of the entire control region and three coding regions were analyzed in 108 unrelated individuals from three regions of Bangladesh. Sequence evaluation was performed with validated primers and combined sequence comparison led to the identification of 14 different haplotypes characterized by 37 variable polymorphic sites. The Bangladeshi sequences exhibited high variations and low random match probability, indicating for forensic application. The mean pairwise difference between individual was 9.698 ± 1.8658 nucleotides (95% CI 9.67 - 9.69), compared to a mean pairwise difference of 9.890 ± 4.189 nucleotides reported from Northeast Asia and suggested significant differences in the mtDNA composition of the various populations. The sequence diversity of 108 Bangladeshi Bengali samples (n = 216 chromosomes) was estimated to be 0.8475 ± 0.13406. This study first time reports that the comparison of closely related mtDNA sequences can be very useful for improving mtDNA database quality, as well as provide haplotype information for forensic study in mainstream population of Bangladesh.

Antidiabetic and Antihyperlipidemic Activities of Methanolic Leaf Extract of <i>Stephania japonica</i>in Alloxan Induced Diabetic Rats

This present study was aimed to investigate the antidiabetic and antihyperlipidemic activities of methanolic leaf extract (LE) of Stephania japonica alone and in combination with metformin in alloxan induced diabetic rats. Primarily acute toxicity study and oral glucose tolerance test were performed. Diabetes was confirmed after 12 days of single intraperitoneal injection of alloxan (120 mg/kg BW) in albino male rats. Rats were divided into six groups’;normal control (Group I) and diabetic induced groups as (Group II, III, IV, V and VI). Group III & IV were treated with leaf extract of S. japonica (200 mg/kg BW & 350 mg/kg BW). Group V (Met 850 mg/70 kg BW) and group VI: (combination of Met 425 mg/70 kg BW and LE 250 mg/kg BW) for four weeks. Body weight of each rat in the different groups was recorded at 0, 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th day of treatment. TC, TG, LDL-C and HDL-C were measured analytically after 28 days of treatment. Alloxan induction also caused left ventricular hypertrophy. LE of S. Japonica showed a good result in OGTT. Oral treatment of different doses of LE and combination therapy reduced elevated level of BG, TC, TG, LDL-C and increased HDL-C level significantly (p S. japonica (Thunb.) Miers showed antihyperlipidemic and antidiabetic effect and hence could be suggested as a potential therapeutic agent for diabetic treatment.

In this paper, we propose and analyze a mathematical model to study the dynamics of a fishery resource system with stage structure in an aquatic environment that consists of two zones namely unreserved zone (fishing permitted) and reserved zone (fishing is strictly prohibited). In this model we introduce a stage structure in which predators are split into two kinds as immature predators and mature predators. It is assumed that immature predators cannot catch the prey and their foods are given by their parents (mature predators). It is also assumed that the fishing of immature predators prohibited in the unreserved zone and predator species are not allowed to enter inside the reserved zone. The local and global stability analysis has been specified. Biological and Bionomical equilibriums of the system are derived. Mathematical formulation of the optimal harvesting policy is given and its solution is derived in the equilibrium case by using Pontryagin’s maximum principle.

Objective:To investigate the phytochemical screening(group determination)and selected pharmacological activities(antioxidant,antimicrobial and analgesic activity)of the plant Sida cordifolia Linn(***).Methods:Eighty percent concentrated ethanol extract of the roots was *** identify the chemical constituents of plant extract standard procedures were *** phytochemical screening the crude extract was tested for the presence of different chemical groups like reducing sugar,tannins,saponins,steroids,flavonoids,gums,alkaloids and *** antioxidant property of ethanolic extract of *** was assessed by DPPH free radical scavenging *** activity of the extract was tested using the model of acetic acid induced writhing in *** sodium is used as reference standard drug for the analgesic activity test Antibacterial activity of plant extract was carried out using disc diffusion method with five pathogenic bacteria comparison with kanamycin as a ***:Phytochemical analysis of the ethanolic extract of the roots of *** indicated the presence of reducing sugar,alkaloids,steroids and *** DPPH scavenging assay the IC_(50)value was found to be 50 ug/mL which was not comparable to the standard ascorbic *** crude extract produced 44.3%inhibition of writhing at the dose of 300 mg/kg body weight which is statistically significant(P>0.001).The in vitro antimicrobial activity of the ethanol extract of the roots of *** showed no antimicrobial activity against five types of *** experiment was conducted only with five species of bacteria as test species,which do not at all indicate the total inactivity against ***:The obtained results provide a support for the use of this plant in traditional medicine but further pharmacological studies are required.
