Objectives To review the pathophysiology of COVID-19 disease,potential aspirin targets on this pathogenesis and the potential role of aspirin in patients with *** Narrative *** The online databases PubMed,OVID Medline and Cochrane Library were searched using relevant headlines from 1 January 2016 to 1 January *** guidelines from relevant societies,journals and forums were also assessed for *** Not *** A review of the selected literature revealed that clinical deterioration in COVID-19 is attributed to the interplay between endothelial dysfunction,coagulopathy and dysregulated *** has anti-inflammatory effects,antiplatelet aggregation,anticoagulant properties as well as pleiotropic effects on endothelial *** the COVID-19 pandemic,low-dose aspirin is used effectively in secondary prevention of atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease,prevention of venous thromboembolism after total hip or knee replacement,prevention of pre-eclampsia and postdischarge treatment for multisystem inflammatory syndrome in *** low-dose aspirin therapy may reduce the risk of intensive care unit admission and mechanical ventilation in hospitalised patients with COVID-19,whereas aspirin association with mortality is still *** The authors recommend a low-dose aspirin regimen for primary prevention of arterial thromboembolism in patients aged 40-70 years who are at high atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease risk,or an intermediate risk with a risk-enhancer and have a low risk of ***’s protective roles in COVID-19 associated with acute lung injury,vascular thrombosis without previous cardiovascular disease and mortality need further randomised controlled trials to establish causal conclusions.

Spinal cord injury remains a major cause of disability in young adults,and beyond acute decompression and rehabilitation,there are no pharmacological treatments to limit the progression of injury and optimize recovery in this *** the thorough investigation of the complement system in triggering and propagating cerebral neuroinflammation,a similar role for complement in spinal neuroinflammation is a focus of ongoing *** this work,we survey the current literature investigating the role of complement in spinal cord injury including the sources of complement proteins,triggers of complement activation,and role of effector functions in the *** study relevant data demonstrating the different triggers of complement activation after spinal cord injury including direct binding to cellular debris,and or activation via antibody binding to damage-associated molecular *** effector functions of complement have been implicated in spinal cord injury,and we critically evaluate recent studies on the dual role of complement anaphylatoxins in spinal cord injury while emphasizing the lack of pathophysiological understanding of the role of opsonins in spinal cord *** this pathophysiological review,we systematically review the different translational approaches used in preclinical models of spinal cord injury and discuss the challenges for future translation into human *** review emphasizes the need for future studies to dissect the roles of different complement pathways in the pathology of spinal cord injury,to evaluate the phases of involvement of opsonins and anaphylatoxins,and to study the role of complement in white matter degeneration and regeneration using translational strategies to supplement genetic models.

The 2014-15 Ebola virus reported during March 2014 Guinea. has shown itself to （EBOV） outbreak, originally n the Western African nation of be resistant to traditional con- tainment methods, with over 28,000 infections and 11,000 deaths over 18 months. Recently, news that a Scottish nurse had relapsed to EBOV disease with neurological symptoms at 10 months after recovery have astonished experts. The prolonged nature of the outbreak has led to questions whether EBOV can become endemic in the human popula- tion, an undesirable outcome due to the large amount of resources required to keep this virus under control. In this commentary, we discuss aspects EBOV disease with those caused by pathogens considered endemic in humans, as well as factors which may contribute to sustained EBOV transmission in humans.
