A design method for a kerosene fuel-rich gas-generator of a liquid rocket engine using turbopumps to supply propellant was performed at a conceptual level. The gas-generator creates hot gases, enabling the turbine to operate the turbopumps. A chemical non-equilibrium analysis and a droplet vaporization model were used for the estimation of the burnt gas properties and characteristic chamber length. A premixed counter-flow flame analysis was performed for the prediction of the burnt gas properties, namely the temperature, the specific heat ratio and heat capacity, and the chemical reaction time. To predict the vaporization time, the Spalding model, using a single droplet in convective condition, was used. The minimum residence time in the chamber and the characteristic length were calculated by adding the reaction time and the vaporization time. Using the characteristic length, the design methods for the fuel-rich gas-generator were established. Finally, a parametric study was achieved for the effects of the O/F ratio, mass flow rate, chamber pressure, initial droplet temperature, initial droplet diameter and initial droplet velocity.

Two types of allylic trifluoromethylated compounds were synthesized by reacting alkynes with CF3CH2I using visible-light photocatalysis. Subtle differences in the catalytic system controlled the selectivity of iodotrifluoroethy- lation and hydrotrifluoroethylation. The iodotrifluoroethylated products were obtained in the presence of [Ru（bpy）3]C12 and TMEDA in CH3CN under visible-light irradiation, whereas hydrotrifluoroethylated products were synthesized usingfac-[Ir（ppy）3] and a mixture of DBU and K2CO3 in DMF. The iodotrifluoroethylation reac- tion worked particularly well, even at gram-scale, and the synthetic utility of iodotrifluoroethylated products was proved by their coupling reactions, providing complex CF3-containing products.

Dracocephalum palmatum Stephan is a medicinal plant traditionally used by nomadic people in Eastern Russia;however,research on this plant is currently ***,although studies have been conducted on the constituents of this plant and their antioxidant effects,data on its various pharmacological activities are still ***,this study examined the anticancer potential of the dried leaves of *** S.(DpL)using human prostate cancer PC-3 *** antioxidant potential of DpL was evaluated by estimating the total flavonoid and total phenolic content(TFC and TPC,respectively).Additionally,we investigated the effects of the DpL ethyl acetate fraction(DpLE)on cell proliferation,intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS)generation,apoptosis,and cell cycle arrest in this cell *** expression levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD)-1,SOD-2,B-cell lymphoma 2(Bcl-2)and Bcl-2 associated X(Bax)ratio,phospho-protein kinase B(p-AKT),cleaved caspase-8,poly adenosine diphosphate(ADP)ribose polymerase(PARP),and cleaved-PARP were evaluated by western *** results indicated that DpLE causes apoptosis and exerts intracellular ROS-independent anticancer effects on prostate cancer cells,associated with increased SOD-2,cleaved caspase-8,and cleaved-PARP expression and inhibited p-AKT ***,DpLE may be a potential resource for the development of promising chemotherapeutic agents for prostate cancer.

File entropy is one of the major indicators of crypto-ransomware because the encryption by ransomware increases the randomness of file ***,entropy-based ransomware detection has certain limitations;for example,when distinguishing ransomware-encrypted files from normal files with inherently high-level entropy,misclassification is very *** addition,the entropy evaluation cost for an entire file renders entropy-based detection impractical for large *** this paper,we propose two indicators based on byte frequency for use in ransomware detection;these are termed EntropySA and DistSA,and both consider the interesting characteristics of certain file subareas termed“sample areas”(SAs).For an encrypted file,both the sampled area and the whole file exhibit high-level randomness,but for a plain file,the sampled area embeds informative structures such as a file header and thus exhibits relatively low-level randomness even though the entire file exhibits high-level *** and DistSA use“byte frequency”and a variation of byte frequency,respectively,derived from sampled *** indicators cause less overhead than other entropy-based detection methods,as experimentally proven using realistic ransomware *** evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of our indicators,we also employ three expensive but elaborate classification models(neural network,support vector machine and threshold-based approaches).Using these models,our experimental indicators yielded an average Fl-measure of 0.994 and an average detection rate of 99.46%for file encryption attacks by realistic ransomware samples.

Challenges facing high-voltage/high-capacity cathodes,in addition to the longstanding problems pertinent to lithium(Li)-metal anodes,should be addressed to develop high-energy-density Li-metal *** issue mostly stems from interfacial instability between electrodes and *** carbonate-or ether-based liquid electrolytes suffer from not only volatility and flammability but also limited electrochemical stability ***,we report a nitrile electrolyte strategy based on concentrated nitrile electrolytes(CNEs)with *** CNE consists of high-concentration lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide(LiFSI)in a solvent mixture of succinonitrile(SN)/acetonitrile(AN).The SN/AN solvent mixture is designed to ensure high oxidation stability along with thermal stability,which are prerequisites for high-voltage Li-metal *** CNE exhibits interfacial stability with Li metals due to the coordinated solvation *** nitrate(LiNO_(3))and indium fluoride(InF_(3))are incorporated in the CNE as synergistic co-additives to further stabilize solid-electrolyte interphase(SEI)on Li *** resulting electrolyte(CNE+LiNO_(3)/InF_(3))enables stable cycling performance in Li||LiNi_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1)and 4.9 V-class Li||LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)***,the Li||LiNi_(0.5)Mn_(1.5)O_(4)cell maintains its electrochemical activity at high temperature(100℃)and even in flame without fire or explosion.
