Elevated-temperature wear tests were performed on AISI h13 steel under 50 and 100 r/min at 400–600℃.Through examining the morphology,structure and composition of worn surfaces as well as the microhardness at subsurfaces,the wear mechanisms in various sliding conditions were explored.h13 steel exhibited totally different elevated-temperature wear behavior at two sliding speeds while the high sliding speed would seriously deteriorate its wear *** sliding at two sliding speeds,the wear rate of h13 steel decreased first and then rose with the increase in temperature and the wear rate reached the lowest value(lower than 1×10^(–6)mm^(3)/mm)at 500℃and 50 r/*** wear rate at 600℃was lower than that at 400℃for 50 r/min,but the wear rate at 600℃was higher than that at 400℃for 100 r/min(except for 50 N).At 50 r/min,the wear rate decreased first and then increased with the increase in ***,at 100 r/min,the wear rate monotonically increased with increasing load and reached 33×10^(–6)mm^(3)/mm at 600℃and 150 N,where severe wear *** the other sliding conditions,severe wear did not appear with wear rate lower than 5×10^(–6)mm^(3)/*** mild wear merely prevailed at 500℃and 50 r/min and oxidative wear appeared in the other sliding conditions except for 600℃and 150 N,where severe plastic extrusion wear *** effect of sliding speed on wear behavior was attributed to the changes of tribo-oxide *** elevated-temperature sliding,tribo-oxide particles were more readily retained to form protective tribo-oxide layers on worn surfaces at the lower sliding speed than at the higher sliding speed,so as to protect from wear.

gold nanostructures are among the noble metal nanomaterials being intensely studied due to their good biocompatibility, tunable localized surface plasmon resonance （SPR）, and ease of modification. These properties give gold nano- structures many potential chemical and biomedical applications. herein, we demonstrate the critical role of oxygen activation during the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide （h202） in the presence of photoexcited gold nanorods （AuNRs） by using electron spin resonance （ESR） techniques. Upon SPR excitation, 02 is activated first, and the resulting reactive intermediates further activate h202 to produce ,Oh. The reactive intermediates exhibit singlet oxygen-like （102-1ike） reactivity, indicated by 102-specific oxidation reaction, quenching behaviors, and the lack of the typical 102 ESR signal. In addition, by using the antioxidant sodium ascorbate （NaA） as an example, we show that hydroxyl radicals from h202 activation can induce much stronger NaA oxidation than that in the absence of h202. These results may have significant biomedical implications. For example, as oxidative stress levels are known to influence tumorigenesis and cancer progression, the ability to control redox status inside tumor microenvironments using noble metal nanostructures may provide new strategies for regulating the metabolism of reactive oxygen species and new approaches for cancer treatment.

For aqueous interfacial reactions involving h+and Oh-, the interfacial ph varies dynamically during the reaction process, which is a key factor determining the reaction performance. herein, the kinetic relevance between the interfacial ph and reaction rate is deciphered owing to the success in establishing the transport equations of h+/Oh- in unbuffered solutions, and is charted as a current(j)–ph diagram in the form of an electrochemical response. The as-described j–ph interplay is experimentally verified by the oxygen reduction and hydrogen evolution reactions. This diagram serves to form a panoramic graphic view of ph function working on the interfacial reactions in conjunction with the Pourbaix’s potential–ph diagram, and particularly enables a kinetic understanding of the transport effect of h+and Oh-on the reaction rate and valuable instruction toward associated ph control and buffering manipulation.

Micro-encapsulated phase-change materials(micro PCMs) with Na_2 hPO_4·12 h_2 O encapsulated in poly(lactic acid)(PLA) shell were prepared by a solvent evaporation–precipitation method that involves the use of a coaxial needle. The effects of PLA concentration, stirring speed, injection rate of core and shell solutions, and polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) concentration on phase change properties were investigated. The thermal properties of microP CMs were characterized by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC). The capsules prepared under the optimal conditions are about 2 mm in diameter and show a latent heat of up to 122.2 J·g^(-1).

Taking the attitude control system of micro quad-rotor as a research object, a design scheme of fault estimator based on generalized Kalman-Yakubovic-Popov （gKYP） lemma is put forward to deal with the problem of estimating multiple actuators malfunctions with couplings. Using an h_index and an appropriate algorithm, the goal of weakening the coupling can be achieved by limiting the fault frequency to a certain range, then different kinds of actuator faults can be estimated correctly. The simulations demonstrate the reliability and validity of the proposed method.

The effects of a harmonically exciting monopole source on an infinitely long cylindrical cavity embedded entirely within a fluid-saturated poroelastic formation of infinite extent are examined theoretically. It is assumed that the source is located outside the cavity at a specified distance from the borehole axis. The magnitudes of the hoop and radial stresses beside the pore pressures exerted on the interface and inside the porous medium surrounding the borehole are calculated and discussed. Biot's poroelastic modeling along with three types of boundary conditions for the cylindrical interface including the ideal fluid, empty borehole, and rigid inclusion with a hard boundary is employed for the analysis. Utilizing a proper translational addition theorem for expressing the incident spherical wave in terms of cylindrical wave expansions, the proposed boundary conditions at the interface are satisfied. Stresses are formulated by means of wave potential functions in a three-dimensional(3D) manner. The effects of the frequency and the radial distance between the source and borehole on the induced stresses are examined for the first cylindrical modes over frequency spectra. Two permeability conditions for the interface and three types of soils for the porous formation are considered throughout the analysis. To give an overall outline of the study, a numerical example is presented. The results clearly indicate that the distance is a key parameter and has considerable effects on the induced stress values. In addition, the interface permeability condition and soil characteristics play an important role in determining the dynamic response of the borehole. Finally,the obtained results are compared with the relevant analyses existing in the literature for some limit cases, and good agreement is achieved.
