Optimal extent of lymphadenectomy improves prognosis and guides adjuvant chemotherapy in esophageal cancer: A propensity scorematched analysis

the innovation in polymer design to rival conventional polyethylene glycol(pEg)is an important approach to achieving a more sustainable ***,cyclic pEg-like polycarbonates having high molecular weight(4.4–49.5 kg/mol)were enabled through zwitterionic ring-opening polymerization(ZROp)of macrocyclic carbonates(MCs)mediated by N-heterocyclic carbene(NHC).the thermodynamic behavior of polymerization depends on the ring size of *** this process,the ZROp of 11-membered MC was driven by the change of enthalpy(ΔH_(p))which differed from the ZROp of 14-membered MC driven by the entropic change(Δs_(p)).Cyclic polycarbonates depicted improved thermostability(t_(d5%)≥204℃)and higher glass transition temperatures(t_(g)>–40℃)in comparison to their linear analogues(t_(d5%)≤185℃,t_(g)~–50℃).In addition,the mechanism of ZROp of MC was addressed through computational study.A distinct mechanism of polymerization distinguishable from the well-known NHC-mediated ZROp of cyclic esters was revealed,where the zwitterion from nucleophilic addition to MC,*** intermediate,cannot be ring-opened probably due to the delocalization of negative charge on the carbonate group,but serves as an active center for the *** comparison to pEg,the attained polymer demonstrated comparable hydrophilic and biocompatible properties,as revealed by the results of contact angle and in vitro cytotoxicity studies,suggesting that cyclic polycarbonate hold the promise as the alternative of pEg.

Inactive elemental doping is commonly used to improve the structural stability of high-voltage layered transition-metal oxide ***,the one-step co-doping strategy usually results in small grain size since the low diffusivity ions such as ti^(4+)will be concentrated on grain boundaries,which hinders the grain *** order to synthesize large single-crystal layered oxide cathodes,considering the different diffusivities of different dopant ions,we propose a simple two-step multi-element co-doping strategy to fabricate core–shell structured liCoO_(2)(Cs-lCO).In the current work,the high-diffusivity Al^(3+)/Mg^(2+)ions occupy the core of single-crystal grain while the low diffusivity ti^(4+)ions enrich the shell *** ti^(4+)-enriched shell layer(~12 nm)with Co/ti substitution and stronger ti–O bond gives rise to less oxygen ligand ***-situ xRD demonstrates the constrained contraction of c-axis lattice parameter and mitigated structural *** a high upper cut-off voltage of 4.6 V,the single-crystal Cs-lCO maintains a reversible capacity of 159.8 mAh g^(−1)with a good retention of~89%after 300 cycles,and reaches a high specific capacity of 163.8 mAh g^(−1)at *** proposed strategy can be extended to other pairs of low-(Zr^(4+),ta^(5+),and W6+,etc.)and high-diffusivity cations(Zn^(2+),Ni^(2+),and Fe^(3+),etc.)for rational design of advanced layered oxide core–shell structured cathodes for lithium-ion batteries.

Apricot has a long history of cultivation and has many varieties and types. the traditional variety identification methods are timeconsuming and labor-consuming, posing grand challenges to apricot resource management. tool development in this regard will help researchers quickly identify variety information. this study photographed apricot fruits outdoors and indoors and constructed a dataset that can precisely classify the fruits using a U-net model (F-score:99%), which helps to obtain the fruit's size, shape, and color features. Meanwhile, a variety search engine was constructed, which can search and identify variety from the database according to the above features. Besides, a mobile and web application (ApricotView) was developed, and the construction mode can be also applied to other varieties of fruit ***, we have collected four difficult-to-identify seed datasets and used the Vgg16 model for training, with an accuracy of 97%, which provided an important basis for ApricotView. to address the difficulties in data collection bottlenecking apricot phenomics research, we developed the first apricot database platform of its kind (ApricotDIAp, http://***/) to accumulate, manage, and publicize scientific data of apricot.

this study aimed to develop a pan-genotypic and multifunctional small interfering RNA(siRNA)against hepatitis B virus(HBV)with an efficient delivery system for treating chronic hepatitis B(CHB),and explore combined RNA interference(RNAi)and immune modulatory modalities for better viral *** synthetic siRNAs targeting consensus motifs distributed across the whole HBV genome were designed and *** lipid nanoparticle(lNp)formulation was optimized by adopting HO-pEg_(2000)-DMg lipid and modifying the molar ratio of traditional polyethylene glycol(pEg)lipid in lNp *** efficacy and safety of this formulation in delivering siHBV(tlNp/siHBV)along with the mouse Il-2(mIl-2)mRNA(tlNp/siHBVIl2)were evaluated in the rAAVHBV1.3 mouse model.A siRNA combination(terms“siHBV”)with a genotypic coverage of 98.55%was selected,chemically modified,and encapsulated within an optimized lNp(tlNp)of high efficacy and security to fabricate a therapeutic formulation for *** results revealed that tlNp/siHBV significantly reduced the expression of viral antigens and DNA(up to 3log_(10)reduction;vs pBs)in dose-and time-dependent manners at single-dose or multi-dose frequencies,with satisfactory safety *** studies showed that tlNp/siHBVIl2 enables additive antigenic and immune control of the virus,via introducing potent HBsAg clearance through RNAi and triggering strong HBV-specific CD4^(+)and CD8^(+)t cell responses by expressed mIl-2 *** adopting tlNp as nucleic acid nanocarriers,the co-delivery of siHBV and mIl-2 mRNA enables synergistic antigenic and immune control of HBV,thus offering a promising translational therapeutic strategy for treating CHB.

Vibrio parahaemolyticus,a gram-negative halophilic bacterium that naturally inhabits coastal waters,causes gastroenteritis,skin infections,and septicemia in human beings[1].this bacterium produces multiple virulence factors,including thermostable direct hemolysin(tDH),tDH-related hemolysin(tRH),type Ⅲ secretion system 1(t3ss1),t3ss2,type Ⅵ secretion system 1(t6ss1),and t6ss2[1].Furthermore,Ⅴ.parahaemolyticus forms biofilms on the surface,which help it in adapting to unfavorable conditions[2].Mature biofilm formation requires special structures,including lateral and polar flagella,exopolysaccharide(Eps),and type Ⅳ pili[2].
