The effects of shock loading on the morphology,grain growth during heating and phase transforma- tion of ZrO_2 have been *** is shown that shock loading may be efficiently used to modify submicron ceramic powders with nanocrystalline *** shock loading,the critical diameter of ZrO_2 particles transformed from tetragonal to monoclinic decreased due to stored strain energy. Annealing of powders resulted in reversible transformation to the tetragonal without considerable grain growth up to 1200℃.

Mannose-binding lectin (MBL) is a pattern-recognition molecule that binds to characteristic carbohydrate mo-tifs present on the surface of many different pathogens. MBL binding stimulates the immune system via the lectin pathway of complement activation. In certain clinical situations, often characterized by pre-existing immune compromise, MBL deficiency increases the risk of infec-tious and other disease-specific complications. Many of the key pathogenic processes inherent to common gastroenterological diseases, such as infection, immuno-logical damage, and carcinogenesis, have been linked to MBL. This editorial reviews the biology of MBL, outlines key disease associations to document the breadth of influence of MBL, and finally, highlights the relevance of MBL to both gastroenterological health and disease.

The effect of welding speed on tensile and microstructural characteristics of pulsed current gas tungsten arc welded（PCgTAW） AZ31 B magnesium alloy joints was studied. Five joints were fabricated using different levels of welding speeds（105-145 mm/min）. It was found that the joints fabricated using a welding speed of 135 mm/min yielded superior tensile properties compared to other joints. The formation of fine grains and uniformly distributed precipitates in the fusion zone are the main reasons for the superior tensile properties of these joints.

We have successfully grown an arsenopyrite marcasite type RhSb2 single crystal, and systematically investigated its crystal structure, electrical transport, magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity, and thermodynamic properties. We found that the temperature-dependent resistivity exhibits a bad metal behavior with a board peak around 200 K. The magnetic susceptibility of RhSb2 shows diamagnetism from 300 K to 2 K. The low-temperature specific heat shows a metallic behavior with a quite small electronic specific-heat coefficient. No phase transition is observed in both specific heat and magnetic susceptibility data. The Hall resistivity measurements show that the conduction carriers are dominated by electrons with ne = 8.62 × 10^(18) cm^(-3) at 2 K, and the electron carrier density increases rapidly above 200 K without change sign. Combining with ab-initio band structure calculations, we showed that the unusual peak around 200 K in resistivity is related to the distinct electronic structure of RhSb_2. In addition, a large thermopower S(T) about -140 μV/K is observed around 200 K, which might be useful for future thermoelectric applications.

Large neutron absorption resonances in the nuclides present in irradiation samples reduce the irradiating neutron flux at energies close to a *** neutron activation analysis of optically thick samples with resonant isotopes,this self-shielding effect can be significant,and must be accounted for to ensure accurate *** we show that an ensemble artificial neural network can be used to accurately predict the epithermal selfshielding factors in wires composed of up to 57 ***,the neural network can account for resonance interference that affects the self-shielding in samples containing nuclides with large overlapping *** use Monte Carlo simulations of sample wires irradiated in a thermal neutron spectrum to create the data for training the neural network and validate its predictions.A gaussian negative log likelihood loss function is combined with the ensemble to estimate the confidence in the predicted self-shielding factors when ground-truth data are unavailable.

Objective:To investigate granulomatous inflammation etiology based on clinical history and ancillary ***:Children agedgranulomatous lesions in any tissue specimens between January 2014 and January 2022 were included in the *** diagnosis was based on the results of immunohistochemical staining,molecular tests,culture,serology,radiological and other auxiliary laboratory *** were categorized into infectious and noninfectious ***:In total,174 patients with granulomatosis inflammation confirmed by histopathology were *** 59.2%patients were males,and the median age was 4.48(IQR 2.36-6.39)years(range:16 months-18 years).The tissues/organs that were most commonly biopsied were lymph node,bone,skin,and lung(51.1%,17.8%,9.2%,and 5.7%,respectively).Infectious and non-infectious causes were identified in 73.0%and 12.6%patients,respectively,in terms of granulomatosis inflammation etiology;however,no cause was identified in 14.4%*** most common infectious cause was tuberculosis(in 51.7%patients),followed by toxoplasmosis,aspergillosis,mucormycosis,leishmaniasis,and cat-scratch disease(in 8.6%,5.7%,1.7%,1.7%,and 1.1%patients,respectively).The common non-infectious cause was chronic granulomatous *** evaluation revealed granulomatosis inflammation in 33.3%patients,necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation in 30.5%patients,and caseating granulomatosis inflammation in 12.1%*** the pathology results of patients with and without tuberculosis were compared,the incidence of caseating granulomatosis inflammation(P=0.003)and necrotizing granulomatosis inflammation(P=0.005)was higher in patients with ***:Chronic granulomatous disease is the most common non-infectious cause in ***,primary or secondary immune deficiencies may cause granulomatosis inflammation,especially in pediatric patients.

The significant positive green environment influence of magnesium alloy usage in transport could be compromised by catastrophic fast fracture caused by stress corrosion cracking(SCC). Transgranular stress corrosion cracking(TgSCC) of AZ91 was evaluated using the linearly increasing stress test(LIST) and the constant extension rate test(CERT). The TgSCC threshold stress was 55-75 MPa in distilled water and in 5 g/L NaCl. The TgSCC velocity was 7×10-10-5×10-9 m/s. A delayed hydride-cracking(DHC) model for TgSCC was implemented using a finite element script in MATLAB and the model predictions were compared with experiment. A key outcome is that,during steady state TgSCC propagation,a high dynamic hydrogen concentration is expected to build up behind the crack tip. A number of recommendations are given for preventing SCC of Mg alloys in service. One of the most important recommendations might be that the total stress in service(i.e. the stress from the service loading + the fabrication stress + the residual stress) should be below a threshold level,which,in the absence of other data,could be(conservatively) estimated to be about 50% of the tensile yield strength.
