We report the fabric.tion and spec.rosc.pic.c.arac.erization of Yb^3＋-doped phosphate g.ass, al.o c.ntaining.sil.er nitrate. Sc.nning.el.c.ron m.c.osc.py（SEm. provides the evidenc. of the form.tion of sil.er nano-partic.es（SnPs）, whic. are form.d as a c.nsequenc. of m.l.ing.and therm.l.dec.m.osition of Ag.nO3. Absorption spec.ra of the sam.l.s in the visibl.-to-near-infrared spec.ral.rang. reveal.the presenc. of bands c.ntered at 410 nm.assoc.ated with the SnP-pl.sm.n resonanc., and at 976 nm.due to the Yb^3＋. Under 916-nm.l.ser-diode pum.ing. the effec. of the SnP refl.c.s that： i） the fl.oresc.nc. in the 950-nm.1150-nm.spec.ral.rang. is strong.y enhanc.d（～ 30 tim.s）, whil. the fl.oresc.nc. dec.y tim. assoc.ated with the ^2F5/2→^2F7/2transition of Yb^3＋ inc.eases 25%, and ii） the basic.l.sing.properties（saturation pum.ing.intensity, the em.ssion and absorption c.oss sec.ions） are substantial.y im.roved.

The therm.l.exam.nation of a non-integ.r-ordered m.bil. fin with a m.g.etism.in the presenc. of a trihybrid nanofl.id(Fe_3O_4-Au-Zn-bl.od) is c.rried out. Three types of nanopartic.es, eac. having.a different shape, are c.nsidered. These shapes inc.ude spheric.l.Fe_3O_4), c.l.ndric.l.Au), and pl.tel.t(Zn) c.nfig.rations. The c.m.ination approac. is util.zed to eval.ate the physic.l.and therm.l.c.arac.eristic. of the trihybrid and hybrid nanofl.ids, exc.uding.the therm.l.c.nduc.ivity and dynam.c.visc.sity. These two properties are inferred by m.ans of the interpol.tion m.thod based on the vol.m. frac.ion of nanopartic.es. The g.verning.equation is transform.d into a dim.nsionl.ss form. and the Adom.an dec.m.osition Sum.du transform.m.thod(ADSTm. is adopted to sol.e the c.nundrum.of a m.ving.fin im.ersed in a trihybrid nanofl.id. The obtained resul.s ag.ee wel. with those num.ric.l.sim.l.tion resul.s, indic.ting.that this researc. is rel.abl.. The infl.enc. of diverse fac.ors on the therm.l.overview for varying.noninteg.r val.es of γ is anal.zed and presented in g.aphic.l.representations. Furtherm.re, the fl.c.uations in the heat transfer c.nc.rning.the pertinent param.ters are studied. The resul.s show that the heat fl.x in the presenc. of the c.m.ination of spheric.l. c.l.ndric.l. and pl.tel.t nanopartic.es is hig.er than that in the presenc. of the c.m.ination of onl. spheric.l.and c.l.ndric.l.nanopartic.es. The tem.erature at the fin tip inc.eases by 0.705 759% when the val.e of the Pec.et num.er inc.eases by 400%, whil. dec.eases by 11.825 13% when the val.e of the Hartm.n num.er inc.eases by 400%.

Biom.tric.-based authentic.tion system.offers advantag.s of providing.hig. rel.abil.ty and ac.urac.. However the c.ntem.orary authentic.tion system.is im.uissanc. to c.m.rom.se. If a biom.tric. data is c.m.rom.sed, it c.nnot be repl.c.d and rendered unusabl.. In this paper, a c.nc.l.bl. biom.tric.-based authentic.tor is proposed to sol.e this irrevoc.bil.ty issue. The proposed approac. is a two-fac.or authentic.tion system. whic. requires both of the random.data and fac.al.feature in order to ac.ess the system. In this system. tokenized pseudo-random.data is c.upl.d with m.m.ntbased fac.al.feature via inner produc. al.2}rithm. The output of the produc. is then disc.etized to g.nerate a set of private binary c.de, c.ined as 2fac.or-Hashing.c.de, whic. is ac.ed as verific.tion key. If this biom.tric.-based verific.tion key is c.m.rom.sed, a new one c.n be issued by repl.c.ng.a different set of random.num.er via token repl.c.m.nt. Then, the c.m.rom.sed one is rendered c.m.l.tel. usel.ss. This feature offers an extra protec.ion l.yer ag.inst biom.tric. fabric.tion sinc. the verific.tion c.de is repl.c.abl.. Experim.ntal.resul.s dem.nstrate that the proposed system.provides zero Equal.Error Rate in whic. there is a c.ear separation in between the g.nuine and the im.oster distribution popul.tions.

Pure and Sm.oped ndOnanophosphors were synthesized using.m.dified Pec.ini m.thod. The phase form.tion with sym.etry of the sam.l. is c.nfirm.d by the Rietvel. refinem.nt of the powder Xray diffrac.ion(PXRD) data. The surfac. m.rphol.g. and the c.ystal.ite size were exam.ned using.sc.nning.el.c.ron m.c.osc.py(SEm. and transm.ssion el.c.ron m.c.osc.py(TEm. and the resul.s c.nfirm.d that the synthesized partic.es are in nanosize. The energ.-dispersive X-ray(EDX) anal.sis was done to c.nfirm.the purity of the sam.l.. The optic.l.properties of the sam.l. were studied using.ul.raviol.t-visibl. rang.(UV-Vis) spec.rosc.pic.anal.sis and photol.m.nesc.nc. studies. The c.l.1}l.ted band g.p of the synthesized ndOwas found to be hig.er than that of bul. ndO. The photol.m.nesc.nc.(Pl. of the prepared sam.l.s reveal. that doping.with Sm.+ ion has infl.enc.d the optic.l.properties. Quantitative investig.tion on c.arg. density distribution was done by anal.sing.the 3-dim.nsional.and 2-dim.nsional.c.arg. density m.ps drawn al.ng the bonding.direc.ions. The m.xim.m.entropy m.thod(m.m./Rietvel. anal.sis was used for the first tim. to anal.se the c.arg. density in the c.osen system. c.arg. density arrang.m.nt in the unit c.l. is c.rrel.ted to the anal.sed photol.m.nesc.nt(Pl. properties. The spec.ral.behaviour of the sam.l.s has been expl.ined throug. c.arg. ordering.whic. are verified using.experim.ntal.data obtained. The studies on these m.terial. have shown that these nanophosphors wil. provide prom.sing.appl.c.tion for near-ul.raviol.t l.g.tem.tting.diodes(n-UV-l.Ds).

Pure frac.ion (92%-95%) of phag.c.tes (FP) and a m.xture of am.eboc.tes(62%) and m.rul. c.l.s (38 %) FPm.0}of the hol.thurian Eupentac.a fraudatrix (Hol.thuroidea, Dendroc.irota) were obtained by using.fic.l. verog.aphine step g.adient. Basal.produc.ion of reac.ive oxyg.n spec.es (ROS) in FP quantified by using.reduc.ion of nitrobl.e tetrazol.um.(nBT) was m.re than twic. that in FPm.0} Therm.stabl. toxin of Yersinia pseudotuberc.l.sis (TST) at different c.nc.ntrations ( 0.2; 0.5; 2.5 μg.m.4} but not 0.1 μg.m.4} stim.l.ted nBT reduc.ion in FPm.0}after 24 h inc.bation. In FP, TST at c.nc.ntrations of 0.1 and 0.2 μg.m.4}inhibited and at c.nc.ntrations of 0.5 and 2.5 μg.m.4}stim.l.ted nBT reduc.ion after 24 h inc.bation. m.xim.l.effec. was observed in FP and FPm.0}at TST c.nc.ntrations of 0.5 and 0.2 μg.m.4} respec.ivel.. Addition of c.tal.se (0.7 μg.m.4} to the c.l.s treated with TST (2.5 μg.m.4} was fol.owed by a dec.ease in nBT reduc.ion c.m.ared to that under toxin treatm.nt al.ne. TST stim.l.ted superoxide dism.tase ac.ivity in c.nc.ntration dependent m.nner (m.xim.m.at 0.5 μg.m.4}c.nc.ntration in FP) after 24 h treatm.nt, and this stim.l.tion was prevented by a c.m.erc.al.c.tal.se. Pl.nt l.c.in c.nc.naval.n A stim.l.ted nBT reduc.ion m.re than 5 fol. in FPm.0}c.m.ared to the c.ntrol. With addition of TST, l.c.in stim.l.ted ROS to l.sser extent than that with l.c.in al.ne. When c.tal.se, TST, and l.c.in were added into the FPm.0}sim.l.aneousl., ROS inc.ease was sim.l.r to that under l.c.in treatm.nt al.ne. On the whol., data obtained indic.ted that ROS g.neration in hol.thurian c.el.m.c.tes espec.al.y oc.urs in both stim.l.ted and not stim.l.ted phag.c.tes, and that c.ang.s in ROS produc.ion by these c.l.s m.y be one of the m.c.anism. of antibac.erial.protec.ion of hol.thurians.

An experim.nt arrang.d in a random.zed c.m.l.te bl.c. desig. with three repl.c.tions was c.nduc.ed on a l.xing.on soil.(fine-sil.y,m.xed,ac.ive,therm.c.Ul.ic.Hapl.dal.s) and a l.ring.soil.(fine-sil.y,m.xed,ac.ive,therm.c.Oxyaquic.Frag.udal.s) in m.ssissippi from.Septem.er 1997 to Septem.er 2000 on 18 runoff pl.ts under natural.rainfal. c.ndition to study the phosphorus (P) dynam.c. in poul.ry l.tter am.nded soil. under three m.nag.m.nt system. c.m.ining.til.ag. and pl.nting.date treatm.nts to identify effec.ive m.nag.m.nt prac.ic.s in southern *** m.nag.m.nt system. in the study were:1) til.ag. in the fal. prior to l.tter appl.c.tion fol.owed by a del.yed pl.nting.of fal. forag.s (c.-DP);2) til.ag. fol.owed by im.ediate pl.nting.of the fal. forag. with subsequent l.tter appl.c.tion (c.-IP);and 3) no-til. with pl.nting.prior to l.tter appl.c.tion (nT-IP).The resul.s indic.ted that there was sig.ific.nt inc.ease in soil.P after 3 years of poul.ry l.tter appl.c.tion for both l.xing.on and l.ring.soil. (P n P budg.t anal.sis,the m.jority of P from.poul.ry l.tter appl.c.tion (> 90%),was ac.um.l.ted in both *** l.ring.soil.sol.bl. This situation is wel. m.nifested in g.aphene, a two-dim.nsional.honeyc.m. struc.ure of c.rbon atom. with onl. one atom.c.l.yer thic.ness. In partic.l.r, strained g.aphene c.n resul. in both c.arg.ng.effec.s and pseudo-m.g.etic.fiel.s, so that c.ntrol.ed strain on a perfec. g.aphene l.ttic. c.n be tail.red to yiel. desirabl. el.c.ronic.properties. Here, we desc.ibe the theoretic.l.foundation for strain-eng.neering.of the el.c.ronic.properties of g.aphene, and then provide experim.ntal.evidenc. for strain-induc.d pseudo-m.g.etic.fiel.s and c.arg.ng.effec.s in m.nol.yer g.aphene. We further dem.nstrate the feasibil.ty of nano-sc.l. strain eng.neering.for g.aphene-based devic.s by m.ans of theoretic.l.sim.l.tions and nano-fabric.tion tec.nol.g..
