Algorithm fusion to improve detection of lung cancer on chest radiographs

Purpose-the purpose of this paper is to show an efficient method for the detection of signs of early lung *** image processing algorithms are presented for different types of lesions,and a scheme is proposed for the combination of ***/methodology/approach-A computer aided detection(CAD)scheme was developed for detection of lung *** enables different lesion enhancer algorithms,sensitive to specific lesion subtypes,to be used *** image processing algorithms are presented for the detection of small nodules,large ones,and infiltrated *** outputs are merged,the false detection rate is reduced with four separated support vector machine(SVM)*** classifier input comes from a feature selection algorithm selecting from various textural and geometric features.A total of 761 images were used for testing,including the database of the Japanese Society of Radiological Technology(JSRT).Findings-the fusion of algorithms reduced false positives on average by 0.6 per image,while the sensitivity remained 80 per *** the JSRT database the system managed to find 60.2 per cent of lesions at an average of 2.0 false positives per *** effect of using different result evaluation criteria was tested and a difference as high as 4 percentage points in sensitivity was *** system was compared to other published ***/value-the study described in the paper proves the usefulness of lesion enhancement decomposition,while proposing a scheme for the fusion of ***,a new algorithm is introduced for the detection of infiltrated areas,possible signs of lung cancer,neglected by previous solutions.

mi R-122 negatively correlates with liver fibrosis as detected by histology and FibroScan

AIM: To investigate whether expression of selected mi RNAs obtained from fibrotic liver biopsies correlate with fibrosis ***: Altogether, 52 patients were enrolled in the study representing various etiologic backgrounds of fibrosis: 24 cases with chronic hepatitis infections(types B, C), 19 with autoimmune liver diseases(autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cirrhosis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, overlapping syndrome cases), and 9 of mixed etiology(alcoholic and nonalcoholic steatosis, cryptogenic cases). Severity of fibrosis was determined by both histologic staging using the METAVIR scoring system and noninvasive transient elastography. Following RNAisolation, expression levels of mi R-21, mi R-122, mi R-214, mi R-221, mi R-222, and mi R-224 were determined using Taq Man Micro RNA Assays applying mi R-140 as the reference. Selection of mi RNAs was based on their characteristic up- or downregulation observed in hepatocellular carcinoma. Relative expression of mi RNAs was correlated with fibrosis stage and liver stiffness(LS) value measured by transient elastography, as well as with serum alanine aminotransferase(ALT) ***: the expression of individual mi RNAs showed deregulated patterns in stages F1-F4 as compared with stage F0, but only the reduced level of mi R-122 in stage F4 was statistically significant(P g mi RNA expression in relation to fibrosis, levels of mi R-122 and mi R-221 showed negative correlations with fibrosis stage, and mi R-122 was found to correlate negatively and mi R-224 positively with LS values(all P th mi R-21(P gative correlations were observed in the fibrosis samples of mixed etiology between mi R-122 and fibrosis stage and LS values(P the samples of chronic viral hepatitis, between mi R-221 and fibrosis stage(P th ALT values in the samples of autoimmune live

Characteristics of spherical particles on copper powder and changing sizes were studied in a ball mill under various experimental conditions,such as different ball diameters,high rotation speeds,and milling times,using a discrete element method(DEM)*** experiment has investigated the characteristics of spherical particle morphology evolution involved in the mechanical alloying of copper *** morphological evolution of the copper particle was analyzed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).A spherical copper particle was shown with a roundness value using imageJ *** DEM was used to simulate the ball motion in a planetary ball mill,and the impact energy and shear energy generated during the collision were analyzed to estimate the contact number between the ball and the ball ***,as the size of the ball decreased,the number of ball-to-ball and ball-to-wall contacts increased accordingly,and the spherical shape of the copper powder changed.

自主制造系统的研究既受益于信息物理融合系统这一新技术的推动，也响应工业实际需求的号召。目前，先进的传感器技术、数字孪生、人工智能和新型通信技术可以支持半结构化工业环境中的自主操作，可实现对生产过程的实时监控、情况识别和预测、自动和自适应（重新）规划、团队合作，以及通过学习提高性能。本文总结了实现自主工业机器人技术的主要需求，提出了实现此类系统的通用工作流程，并介绍了HUN-REN SZTAKI最近在装配、焊接、打磨、拾取和放置以及机械加工等多个应用领域的广泛实践。这些解决方案的共同点是以通用的数字孪生概念为核心。最后，本文提出实现工业自主机器人解决方案的一般建议，并讨论了未来要研究的一些开放性问题。

A single micro-LED manipulation system based on micro-gripper

Micro-LEDs(μLEDs) have advantages in terms of brightness, power consumption, and response speed. In addition, they can also be used as micro-sensors implanted in the body via flexible electronic skin. One of the key techniques involved in the fabrication of μLED-based devices is transfer printing. Although numerous methods have been proposed for transfer printing, improving the yield of μLED arrays is still a formidable task. In this paper, we propose a novel method for improving the yield of μLED arrays transferred by the stamping method, using an innovative design of piezoelectrically driven asymmetric micro-gripper. Traditional grippers are too large to manipulate μLEDs, and therefore two micro-sized cantilevers are added at the gripper tips. A μLED manipulation system is constructed based on the micro-gripper together with a three-dimensional positioning system. Experimental results using this system show that it can be used successfully to manipulate μLED arrays.

In this paper we propose a method to construct probability measures on the space of convex bodies. For this purpose, first, we introduce the notion of thinness of a body. then we show the existence of a measure with the property that its pushforward by the thinness function is a probability measure of truncated normal distribution. Finally, we improve this method to find a measure satisfying some important properties in geometric measure theory.

three research papers were published recently to compare the virological properties of the Omicron variant with the earlier variants of concern(VOC).1,2,3 the SARS-CoV-2 B.1.1.529 variant,Omicron,was first detected in South Africa in October 2021 and has spread rapidly;within three months,it appeared in more than 87 countries.4 During the surveillance of the epidemiological data and mutations of earlier COVID-19 variants and Omicron,significant differences were revealed mainly in the reproduction rate and hospitalization.
