In 1801, the year of.the discovery of.Ceres, Johann Georg von Soldner calculated with classical means the gravitational def.ection of.a lightray grazing the surf.ce of.the Sun as 0.84”. According to General Relativity (GR) and using present-day data the def.ection amounts to 1.75”. The f.rmula f.r the def.ection is derived with a classical method, with GR and as done by Soldner. The GR f.rmula gives twice as large a def.ection as the classical f.rmula. It is shown that the f.rmula of.Soldner is equivalent to the classical one. Soldner’s numerical calculation of.the classical def.ection by the Earth comes out a f.ctor 6.9 larger than using present-day data. This discrepancy is f.r a f.ctor 6.25 due to a mistaken value f.r the velocity of.the grazing lightray. This f.ctor 6.25 can numerically be accounted f.r by assuming Soldner made a conceptual mistake related to the Axial Tilt of.the Earth. The remaining discrepancy is due to the use of.data less accurate than the present-day data. Soldner’s numerical calculation of.the def.ection by the Sun comes out correctly to the data of.those days. In case of.the Sun he did not give any f.rther inf.rmation regarding the data he used. A reconstruction reveals that f.r the surf.ce gravity of.the Sun he used a value close to the present-day value.

CD4^(+)T cells can"help"or"license" conventional type 1 dendritic cells(cDC1s)to induce CD8^(+)cytotoxic T lymphocyte(CTL)anticancer responses,as proven in mouse *** recently identif.ed cDC1s with a transcriptomic imprint of.CD4^(+)T-cell help,specif.cally in T-cell-inf.ltrated human cancers,and these cells were associated with a good prognosis and response to PD-1-targeting ***,we delineate the mechanism of.cDC1 licensing by CD4^(+)T cells in *** CD4^(+)T cells produce If.βvia the STING pathway,which promotes MHC-I antigen(cross-)presentation by cDC1s and thereby improves their ability to induce CTL anticancer *** cooperation with CD40 ligand(L),If.βalso optimizes the costimulatory and other f.nctions of.cDC1s required f.r CTL response ***-I-producing CD4^(+)T cells are present in diverse T-cell-inf.ltrated cancers and likely deliver“help”signals to CTLs locally,according to their transcriptomic prof.le and colocalization with“helped/licensed”cDCs and tumor-reactive CD8^(+)T *** agreement with this scenario,the presence of.If.-I-producing CD4^(+)T cells in the TME is associated with overall survival and the response to PD-1 checkpoint blockade in cancer patients.

Photobiomodulation,originally used red and near-inf.ared lasers,can alter cellular *** has been demonstrated that the visible spectrum at 451-540 nm does not necessarily increase cell prolif.ration,near-inf.ared light promotes adipose stem cell prolif.ration and af.ects adipose stem cell migration,which is necessary f.r the cells homing to the site of.*** this in vitro study,we explored the potential of.adipose-derived stem cells to dif.erentiate into neurons f.r f.ture translational regenerative treatments in neurodegenerative disorders and brain *** investigated the ef.ects of.various biological and chemical inducers on trans-dif.erentiation and evaluated the impact of.photobiomodulation using 825 nm near-inf.ared and 525 nm green laser light at 5 J/*** adipose-derived stem cells can be used in autologous graf.ing and photobiomodulation has been shown to have biostimulatory *** f.ndings reveal that adipose-derived stem cells can indeed trans-dif.erentiate into neuronal cells when exposed to inducers,with pre-induced cells exhibiting higher rates of.prolif.ration and trans-dif.erentiation compared with the control ***,green laser light stimulation led to notable morphological changes indicative of.enhanced trans-dif.erentiation,while near-inf.ared photobiomodulation notably increased the expression of.neuronal *** biochemical analysis and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays,we observed marked improvements in viability,prolif.ration,membrane permeability,and mitochondrial membrane potential,as well as increased protein levels of.neuron-specif.c enolase and ciliary neurotrophic ***,our results demonstrate the ef.icacy of.photobiomodulation in enhancing the trans-dif.erentiation ability of.adipose-derived stem cells,of.ering promising prospects f.r their use in regenerative medicine f.r neurodegenerative disorders and brain injuries.

Objective:To evaluate the immunological response elicited by an inactivated bacterial vector carrying the K39 antigen of.Leishmania inf.ntum,and a purif.ed ***:Mice were subjected to the f.llowing treatments:(1)Purif.ed recombinant K39(rK39)protein at a 20μg dose with complete f.eund’s adjuvant;(2)Inactivated Escherichia coli(BL21 DE3)carrying the K39 protein at an equivalent total protein content of.200μg;(3)Inactivated bacteria lacking the K39 protein;(4)Non-immunized control *** monitoring was *** groups were challenged by intraperitoneal injection of.10^(7) Leishmania inf.ntum *** euthanasia,the liver and spleen were collected to analyze the levels of.TNf.If.-γ,IL-12,IL-4,and ***:Mice immunized with purif.ed rK39 or the inactivated bacterial vector carrying the K39 antigen of.Leishmania inf.ntum showed a long-lasting immune response with high levels of.polyclonal antibodies specif.cally recognizing the recombinant *** IgG1 subclass was the predominant immunoglobulin;however,the induction of.IgG2a and the prof.le of.cytokines produced were indicative of.the induction of.a mixed-type ***:The inactivated bacterial vector carrying the K39 antigen,as well as the purif.ed antigen can induce a long-lasting immune response in immunized mice,predominantly f.vouring a Th2 prof.le response.

BACKGROUND Smartwatches have become readily accessible tools f.r detecting atrial f.brillation(Af..There remains limited data on how they af.ect psychosocial outcomes and engagement in older *** examine the health behavior outcomes of.stroke survivors prescribed smartwatches f.r Af.detection stratif.ed by *** We analyzed data f.om the Pulsewatch study,a randomized controlled trial that enrolled patients(≥50 years)with a history of.stroke or transient ischemic attack and CHA2DS2-VASc≥*** participants were equipped with a cardiac patch monitor and a smartwatch-app dyad,while control participants wore the cardiac patch monitor f.r up to 44 *** evaluated health behavior parameters using standardized tools,including the Consumer Health Activation Index,the Generalized Anxiety Disorder questionnaire,the 12-Item Short f.rm Health Survey,and wear time of.participants categorized into three age groups:Group 1(ages 50-60),Group 2(ages 61-69),and Group 3(ages 70-87).We perf.rmed statistical analysis using a mixedef.ects repeated measures linear regression model to examine dif.erences amongst age *** Comparative analysis between Groups 1,2 and 3 revealed no signif.cant dif.erences in anxiety,patient activation,perception of.physical health and wear *** use of.smartwatch technology was associated with a decrease in perception of.mental health f.r Group 2 compared to Group 1(β=-3.29,P=0.046).CONCLUSION Stroke survivors demonstrated a willingness to use smartwatches f.r Af.***,among these study participants,the majority did not experience negative health behavior outcomes or decreased engagement as age increased.

Over the last decades,liver transplantation has become the standard care f.r many f.rms of.end-stage liver disease,both in adults and in *** prognosis af.er pediatric liver transplantation(pLT)has steadily increased up to a patient survival at 5 years of.85%and an estimated graf. half.lif. of.31 years(1,2).In the early days of.pLT,the transplanted organ originated f.om deceased *** 1990,adult-to-child living donor liver transplantation(LDLT)programs have developed,which rapidly gained popularity,particularly in Europe and Asia(2,3).A major stimulus f.r LDLT has been the limited availability of.deceased *** indications f.r liver transplantation have expanded,particularly f.r adult patients,at a higher rate than the availability of.donor ***,the quality of.donor organs has steadily declined,resulting in a decreased utilization of.livers f.om deceased donors f.r transplantation(4).The limited availability of.qualif.ed deceased donor livers has f.rther stimulated LDLT:in Europe,f.r example,the percentage of.living donor organs used f.r pLT increased f.om 7%bef.re 2000 to 40%since 2010(1).

Strain engineering,as a powerf.l strategy to tune the optical and electrical properties of.two-dimensional(2D)materials by def.rming their crystal lattice,has attracted signif.cant interest in recent years.2D materials can sustain ultra-high strains,even up to 10%,due to the lack of.dangling bonds on their surf.ce,making them ideal brittle *** remarkable mechanical resilience,together with a strong strain-tunable band structure,endows 2D materials with a broad optical and electrical response upon ***,strain engineering based on 2D materials is restricted by their nanoscale and strain quantif.cation *** this study,we have modif.ed a homebuilt three-points bending apparatus to transf.rm it into a f.ur-points bending apparatus that allows f.r the application of.both compressive and tensile strains on 2D *** approach allows f.r the ef.icient and reproducible construction of.a strain system and minimizes the buckling ef.ect caused by the van der Waals interaction by adamantane encapsulation *** results demonstrate the f.asibility of.introducing compressive strain on 2D materials and the potential f.r tuning their optical and physical properties through this approach.

The van Hoof.ef.ect is a phase shif. existing between the radial velocity curves of.hydrogen and metallic lines within the atmosphere of.pulsating *** this article,we present a study of.this phenomenon through the spectra of.the brightest pulsating star RR Lyr of.RR Lyrae stars recorded f.r 22 *** based ourselves,on the one hand,on 1268 spectra(41 nights of.observation)recorded between the years 1994 and 1997 at the Observatory of.Haute Provence(OHP,f.ance)previously observed by Chadid and Gillet,and on the other hand on 1569 spectra(46nights of.observation)recorded at our Oukaimeden Observatory(Morocco)between 2015 and *** this study,we have detected inf.rmation on atmospheric dynamics that had not previously been ***,the van Hoof.ef.ect which results in a clear correlation between the radial velocities of.hydrogen and those of.the metallic lines has been observed and analyzed at dif.erent Blazhko phases.A correlation between the radial velocities of.dif.erent metallic lines located in the lower atmosphere has been observed as *** the f.rst time,we were able to show that the amplitude of.the radial velocity curves deduced f.om the lines of.hydrogen and that of.f.Ⅱ(λ4923.921?)increases toward the minimum of.the Blazhko cycle and decreases toward the maximum of.the same Blazhko ***,we f.und that the van Hoof.ef.ect is also modulated by the Blazhko ***,toward the minimum of.the Blazhko cycle the van Hoof.ef.ect is more visible and at the maximum of.the Blazhko cycle,this ef.ect is *** also observed the temporal evolution of.the amplitudes of.the radial velocities of.the lower and upper *** observed over a long time,we can interpret it as a f.nction of.the Blazhko phases.
