This work presents the applic.tion of the tec.nique named signal analysis based on c.aos using density of maxima to analyze brushless direc. c.rrent *** uses a c.rrelation c.effic.ent estimated from the density of maxima of the c.rrent *** study demonstrates in experiments the speed estimation of a brushless motor on a testbenc. and failure detec.ion in a small flying *** experimental results demonstrate that it is possible to estimate the speed in 97.8%of the c.ses and to detec. failure in 82.75%of the analyzed c.ses.

Introduc.ion:A fundamental c.allenge to the integrity of tropic.l dry forest ec.systems is the invasion of nonnative grass *** grasses c.mpete for resourc.s and fuel anthropogenic.*** 2012,a bulldozer from the Puerto Ric. Elec.ric.Power Authority c.eared a 570-m trail from a state road into a mature dry forest sec.ion of Guánic. Forest to c.ntrol a *** monitored c.lonization by a non-native invasive grass(Megathyrsus maximus),a highly invasive tree(Leuc.ena leuc.c.phala),and a native grass(Uniola virgata),as well as natural regeneration,along the bulldozer *** determined whether bulldozing fac.litated c.lonization by these spec.es into the forest and the extent of ***:Distanc. from propagule sourc. and temporal variations strongly influenc.d c.lonization by our three foc.l *** maximus invaded along the trail from sourc. populations by the state *** establishment of new c.lonies of *** seedlings went as far as 570 m inside the forest(i.e.,at the end of the bulldozer trail),but we found most new c.lonies within 270 m of the *** leuc.c.phala exhibited a similar spreading *** disturbanc.,Uniola virgata was distributed widely ac.oss the forest,but the highest densities were found in areas near the latter portion(>401 m)of the bulldozer ***,the spec.es formed new c.umps along more than half of the trail(250 to 570 m),apparently c.lonizing from undisturbed patc.es ***:Bulldozing fac.litated the invasion of non-native *** projec.ed c.mmunity assemblage will be more fire-prone than before sinc. *** c.rries fire ac.oss the landsc.pe better than ***,emphasizing the c.pac.ty of invasive plant c.lonization to alter loc.l ec.logic.l proc.sses after only a single wildfire and bulldoze *** results provide a valuable baseline for short-term vegetation response to anthropogenic.disturbanc.s in tropic.l semi-dec.duous dry forests.

The detoxific.tion of iron c.anide in a soil–plant system was investigated to assess the total c.anide extrac.ed from c.ntaminated soil and alloc.ted in the leaf tissue of willow trees(Salix c.prea). They were grown in soil c.ntaining up to 1000 mg/kg dry weight(dw) of c.anide(c.),added as ^(15)N-labeled potassium ferroc.anide and prepared with a new method for synthesis of labeled iron c.anides. c. c.ntent and ^(15)N enric.ment were monitored weekly over the exposure in leaf tissue of different age. The ^(15)N enric.ment in the young and old leaf tissue reac.ed up to 15.197‰ and 9063‰, respec.ively; it inc.eased signific.ntly over the exposure and with inc.easing exposure c.nc.ntrations(p c. ac.umulation in the old leaf tissue was higher, c.mpared to the young leaf tissue(p c.ment in the two tissue types did not differ statistic.lly. This indic.tes a non-uniform c. ac.umulation but a uniform ^(15)N alloc.tion throughout the leaf mass. Signific.nt differenc.s were detec.ed between the measured c. c.ntent and the c.(15)N c.ntent, c.lc.lated from the ^(15)N enric.ment(p c.nt c. frac.ion within the leaf tissue, whic. c.uld not be detec.ed as ionic.c.. The applic.tion of labeled iron c. c.early shows that c. is detoxified during uptake by the willows. However, these results do not exc.ude other detoxific.tion pathways, not related to the trees. Still, they are strongly indic.tive of the c.ntral role the trees played in c. removal and detoxific.tion under the experimental c.nditions.
