The influence of iron ore characteristics on FeO formation during sintering was examined mainly in terms of chemical composition and the melting characteristics of iron ores. Statistical regression and X-ray diffraction were used to further explain the specific effect of iron ore characteristics on FeO formation. The results indicate that LOI （loss on ignition） in iron ores have a positive influence on FeO formation by promoting the sintering process of Fe2O3 decomposing and reducing. Silica contents in iron ores play a determining role in final content of FeO in sinter. The melting characteristics of iron ores significantly affect FeO formation during sintering.

BACKGROUND Patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC)have a low incidence rate,poor biological activity,suboptimal response to conventional treatments,and a poor *** the previous cohort study on mCRC conducted by our team,it was observed that integrated Chinese and Western medicine treatment could significantly prolong the overall survival(OS)of patients with colorectal ***,we further explored the survival benefits in the population with BRAF V600E mutant *** To evaluate the efficacy of integrated Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal *** A cohort study was conducted on patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer admitted to Xiyuan Hospital of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences and Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from January 2016 to December *** patients were divided into two *** A total of 34 cases were included,with 23 in Chinese-Western medicine cohort(cohort A)and 11 in Western medicine cohort(cohort B).The median overall survival was 19.9 months in cohort A and 14.2 months in cohort B,with a statistically significant difference(P=0.038,hazard ratio=0.46).The 1-3-year survival rates were 95.65%(22/23),39.13%(9/23),and 26.09%(6/23)in cohort A,and 63.64%(7/11),18.18%(2/11),and 9.09%(1/11)in cohort B,*** analysis showed statistically significant differences in median OS between the two cohorts in the right colon,liver metastasis,chemotherapy,and first-line treatment subgroups(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Integrated Chinese and Western medicine can prolong the survival and reduce the risk of death in patients with BRAF V600E mutant metastatic colorectal cancer,with more pronounced benefits observed in patients with right colon involvement,liver metastasis,combined chemotherapy,and first-line treatment.

Optical memory integrates the function of optical sensing in memory devices, remarkably promoting the interconnection between sensory and memory terminals. Silicon charge-coupled photodetectors and floating gate memory have been widely used in imaging and storage technologies, respectively. However,the heterogeneous integration of the two devices requires technological innovation and complex electrical connections. In this work, we adopt a three-dimensional layer stacking method to design a novel optical memory device. On the top of Si charge-coupled photodetectors, we successively deposit two-dimensional graphene,hexagonal boron nitride, and molybdenum disulfide as a floating gate layer, a tunneling layer, and a readout layer, respectively. By applying a gate bias on lightly doped Si, a deep depletion layer is formed with a high voltage potential drop. Under dark conditions, the depletion layer cannot be filled, and the electric field across the h-BN tunnel barrier is relatively small. Under light irradiation, the deep depletion layer is gradually filled, and the h-BN tunneling layer withstands the increasing electric field, resulting in charge storage in the floating gate layer. Based on this mechanism, the device exhibits a gate voltage-dependent operation mode, including an integrated optical sensing-memory mode and an electrically driven storage mode. Under moderate gate voltage, the device can effectively detect the optical information with varied intensity and store the optical information in the floating gate, displaying optically controlled memory characteristics. Our work demonstrates a compact device structure for optical memory and displays excellent optically controlled memory performance, which can be applied in artificial vision systems.

The Leading-Edge(LE)serrations on owls'wings are known to be responsible for silent ***,this design has rarely been applied to reduce the noise of rotational rotor propellers and the morphologies of the existing serration designs are ***,we present a comparative study ofLE serrations with different morphologies in terms of the effectiveness in suppressing noise and promoting thrust *** performances of biomimetic propellers are investigated by Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)simulations and rotation *** simulation results reveal that LE serrations could reduce velocity fluctuations and change the lamina-turbulent transition and turbulence distribution on the suction surface of propeller,but the morphology of the serrations influences its *** testing results indicate that the sawtooth propeller has the best performance on noise reduction(on average 2.43 dB and in maximum 4.18 dB)and simultaneously enhancing the thrust forces(3.53%).The largest practical noise reductions(4.73 dB and 3.79 rdB)using the sawtooth propeller are observed when the quad-rotor Unmanned-Aerial Vehicle(UAV)is hovering at heights of 5 m and 8 m,*** results indicate the robustness and usefulness of owl-inspired biomimetic serration devices for aero-acoustic control and aerodynamic performance promotion on propeller *** finding is expected to con^bute to suppressing the sound of propeller and the rotor-based aircraft.

In industrial applications,climbing robots are widely used for climbing and detection of rough or smooth pipe *** by the special claws of longicorn is that can crawl on rough surfaces and the array of tiny bristles of geckos that can crawl on smooth surfaces,a new type of wall-climbing robot for rough or smooth surfaces is proposed in this *** bionic palms of the robot are suggested with special bionic hooks inspired by the longicorn and bionic adhesive materials inspired by the gecko with a good performance on adhering on the *** special bionic hooks are manufactured by the 3D printing method and the bionic adhesive materials are made by the polymer print lithography *** two different bionic adhere accessory are used on the robot’s palm to achieve climbing on the different *** foldable climbing robot can not only bend its own body to accommodate the cylindrical contact surfaces of different diameters,but also crawl on vertical rough and smooth surfaces using their bionic palms.

Comparing to orthogonal localized molecular orbitals (OLMO), the nonorthogonal localized molecular orbitals (NOLMO) exhibit bonding pictures more accordant with those in the traditional chemistry. They are more contracted, so that they have a better transferability and better performances for the calculation of election correlation energies and for the linear scaling algorithms of large systems. The satisfactory NOLMOs should be as contracted as possible while their shapes and spatial distribution keep in accordance with the traditional chemical bonding picture. It is found that the spread of NOLMOs is a monotonic decreasing function of their orthogonality, and it may reduce to any extent as the orthogonality descends. However, when the orthogonality descends to some point, the shapes and spatial distribution of the NOLMOs deviate drastically from the traditional chemical bonding picture, and finally the NOLMOs tend to linear dependence. Without the requirement of orthogonalization, some other constraints have to be imposed for constructing satisfactory NOLMOs by minimizing their spread functional. It is shown that satisfactory results can be generated by coupling the minimization of orbital spread functionals with the maximization of the distances between orbital centroids.

Surface plays an important role in the physical and mechanical behavior of nanos- tructured materials and elements, however surface energy of curved solid surfaces has not been fully understood. In the present letter, surface energy of spherical particles and cavities in FCC copper is calculated by embedded atom method. The numerical simulations reveal that the dis- tribution of atom energy is non-uniform on the curved surfaces. However, when the radius of spherical cavity or particle is larger than 4 nm, the average surface energy density keeps almost constant irrespective of its location and radius.
