Constructing a small organic molecule by using the derivative of oxadiazole for photovoltaic applications

Because of their elasticity,light weight,little cost,and wide-area applications,besides a notable increase in power conversion efficiency(PCE),organic solar cells(OSCs)have recently caught the concern of numerous *** the current project,we created a variety of organic small compounds as donor materials by using Gaussian *** design approach entails swapping the core part,which is benzothiadiazole(BT),based on a derivative of oxadiazole,as the terminals on both sides of the prototype compound(RM)with a variety of fragments to improve the electronic and optic characterization and performance for PCE in *** theoretical consideration under density-functional theory(DFT)and time-dependent density functional theory(TD-DFT)at the B3LYP/6-31G(d,p)basis set was made to find the maximum absorption wavelength λ_(max),the efficiency of light harvesting(LHE),excitation energy(E_(x)),highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)and lowest occupied molecular orbital(LOMO)levels,energy band gap(E_(g)),dipole moment(ρ),the density of state(DOS),ionization potential(IP),electron affinity(EA),fill factor(FF),and open circuit voltage(V_(oc))of molecules RM and TS studied in a methodical *** values revealed that proposed compounds T1T4 can be encouraging materials for manufacturing OSCs as a donor tiny compound with acceptor PC6BM to predict a rise in PCE owing to their possession of proper values for some optical and electronic features,like the lowest HOMO level,narrower band gaps,and a greater absorption wavelength compared with the reference model RM.

Automated Algorithms for Detecting and Classifying X-Ray Images of Spine Fractures

This paper emphasizes a faster digital processing time while presenting an accurate method for identifying spinefractures in X-ray pictures. The study focuses on efficiency by utilizing many methods that include picturesegmentation, feature reduction, and image classification. Two important elements are investigated to reducethe classification time: Using feature reduction software and leveraging the capabilities of sophisticated digitalprocessing hardware. The researchers use different algorithms for picture enhancement, including theWiener andKalman filters, and they look into two background correction techniques. The article presents a technique forextracting textural features and evaluates three picture segmentation algorithms and three fractured spine detectionalgorithms using transformdomain, PowerDensity Spectrum(PDS), andHigher-Order Statistics (HOS) for *** an emphasis on reducing digital processing time, this all-encompassing method helps to create asimplified system for classifying fractured spine fractures. A feature reduction program code has been built toimprove the processing speed for picture classification. Overall, the proposed approach shows great potential forsignificantly reducing classification time in clinical settings where time is critical. In comparison to other transformdomains, the texture features’ discrete cosine transform (DCT) yielded an exceptional classification rate, and theprocess of extracting features from the transform domain took less time. More capable hardware can also result inquicker execution times for the feature extraction algorithms.

Algorithms for Pre-Compiling Programs by Parallel Compilers

The paper addresses the challenge of transmitting a big number offiles stored in a data center(DC),encrypting them by compilers,and sending them through a network at an acceptable *** to the big number offiles,only one compiler may not be sufficient to encrypt data in an acceptable *** this paper,we consider the problem of several compilers and the objective is tofind an algorithm that can give an efficient schedule for the givenfiles to be compiled by the *** main objective of the work is to minimize the gap in the total size of assignedfiles between *** minimization ensures the fair distribution offiles to different *** problem is considered to be a very hard *** paper presents two research *** axis is related to *** propose a novel pre-compiler architecture in this *** second axis is algorithmic *** develop six algorithms to solve the problem,in this *** algorithms are based on the dispatching rules method,decomposition method,and an iterative *** algorithms give approximate solutions for the studied *** experimental result is imple-mented to show the performance of *** indicators are used to measure the performance of the proposed *** addition,five classes are proposed to test the algorithms with a total of 2350 instances.A comparison between the proposed algorithms is presented in different tables discussed to show the performance of each *** result showed that the best algorithm is the Iterative-mixed Smallest-Longest-Heuristic(ISL)with a percentage equal to 97.7%and an average running time equal to 0.148 *** other algorithms did not exceed 22%as a *** best algorithm excluding ISL is Iterative-mixed Longest-Smallest Heuristic(ILS)with a percentage equal to 21,4%and an average running time equal to 0.150 s.

Model-independent Veltman condition,naturalness and the little hierarchy problem

We adopt a bottom-up Effective Field Theory(EFT)approach to derive a model-independent Veltman condition to cancel out the quadratic divergences in the Higgs *** show using the equivalence theorem that all the deviations in the Higgs couplings to the W and Z from the SM predictions should *** argue based on tree-level unitarity that any new physics that naturally cancels out the quadratic divergences should be ≤19 *** show that the level of fine-tuning required is unless the O(0:1%-1%) UV sector has a symmetry that forces the satisfaction of the model-independent Veltman condition,in which case all fine-tuning is *** also conjecture that,if no new physics that couples to the Higgs is observed up to~19 TeV,or if the Higgs couplings to the SM particles conform to the SM predictions,then the Higgs either does not couple to any UV sector or is fine-tuned.

Short-term effects of maize residue biochar on kinetic and thermodynamic parameters of soil β-glucosidase

Soil β-glucosidase (BG), the rate-limiting enzyme in the final step of cellulose hydrolysis, plays a key role in microbial metabolism, carbon (C) cycling and sequestration in terrestrial ecosystems. Biochar application is known to affect soil BG activity;however, most of the biochar studies have focused on the potential activity of BG, and it is not clear how biochar influences the kinetic and thermodynamic behavior of BG in the soil. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of maize residue biochar on soil BG kinetic and thermodynamic parameters. Soil BG kinetic (V_(max) and K_(m)) and ther-modynamic (E_(a), ΔH_(a) and Q_(10)) parameters were determined within soils (clayey and sandy loam soils) amended with either maize residue (as positive control) or its biochar (600℃) at 0.5 and 1.0% ratios (w/w), and the mixtures were incubated for 90 days. BG showed an increase in potential enzymatic activity (81%), enzyme concentration (higher V_(max) value) (25%) and substrate affinity (lower K_(m) value) (32%) in the biochar-amended sandy loam soil only at high addition rates compared with the control, and an increase by about 86% of the catalytic efficiency (V_(max)/K_(m)). In the clayey soil, biochar addition decreased potential BG activity (by 10-29%), increased the V_(max) value (by 20-25%) and had no impact on enzyme-substrate binding affinity, but still increased the catalytic efficiency by 47-72%. Adsorption of soil BG by biochar particles did not affect the catalytic efficiency in the soil. Generally, application of maize residue biochar to the soil decreased the E_(a), ΔH_(a) and Q_(10) values of BG compared with the negative controls at both biochar rates in the light-textured soil and only at low biochar rate in heavy-textured soil. The direction and magnitude of BG responses (activity, kinetics, and thermodynamics) to biochar were more related to the soil characteristics. Biochar alleviates metal toxicity and improves microbial community functions in a soil co-contaminated with cadmium and lead

Soil amendment with biochar alleviates the toxic effects of heavy metals on microbial functions in single-metal contaminated ***,it is unclear how biochar application would improve microbial activity and enzymatic activity in soils co-polluted with toxic *** present research aimed at determining the response of microbial and biochemical attributes to addition of sugarcane bagasse biochar(SCB)in cadmium(Cd)-lead(Pb)co-contaminated ***(400 and 600°C)decreased the available concentrations of Cd and Pb,increased organic carbon(OC)and dissolved organic carbon(DOC)contents in *** decrease of metal availability was greater with 600°C SCB than with 400°C SCB,and metal immobilization was greater for Cd(16%)than for Pb(12%)in co-spiked soils amended with low-temperature *** application improved microbial activity and biomass,and enzymatic activity in the soils co-spiked with metals,but these positive impacts of SCB were less pronounced in the co-spiked soils than in the single-spiked *** decreased the adverse impacts of heavy metals on soil properties largely through the enhanced labile C for microbial assimilation and partly through the immobili-zation of *** analysis further confirmed that soil OC was overwhelmingly the dominant driver of changes in the properties and quality of contaminated soils amended with *** promotion of soil microbial quality by the low-temperature SCB was greater than by high-temperature SCB,due to its higher labile C *** findings showed that SCB at lower temperatures could be applied to metal co-polluted soils to mitigate the combined effects of metal stresses on microbial and biochemical functions.

Patient medical information in all forms is crucial to keep private and secure,particularly when medical data communication occurs through insecure ***,there is a bad need for protecting and securing the color medical images against impostors and *** this paper,an optical medical image security approach is *** is based on the optical bit-plane Jigsaw Transform(JT)and Fractional Fourier Transform(FFT).Different kernels with a lone lens and a single arbitrary phase code are exploited in this security approach.A preceding bit-plane scrambling process is conducted on the input color medical images prior to the JT and FFT processes to accomplish a tremendous level of robustness and *** confirm the efficiency of the suggested security approach for secure color medical image communication,various assessments on different color medical images are examined based on different statistical security ***,a comparative analysis is introduced between the suggested security approach and other conventional cryptography *** simulation outcomes acquired for performance assessment demonstrate that the suggested security approach is highly *** has excellent encryption/decryption performance and superior security results compared to conventional cryptography approaches with achieving recommended values of average entropy and correlation coefficient of 7.63 and 0.0103 for encrypted images.

Introduction Endoscopic stent implantation is a widely used and accepted palliative procedure for non-operated malignant hilar biliary obstruction[1].Several studies have demonstrated that selfexpandable metal stents(SEMS)are superior to plastic stents(PS)[2,3].However,it is still debated whether bilateral stenting is better than unilateral stenting[2,3].Park et *** the literature and clarified that bilateral stenting is favored,due to better clinical outcomes and fewer late complications[2].It is technically challenging to place two SEMS beside each other in order to do bilateral stenting[1,2].For the above considerations,a new technique called‘stent-in-stent’(SIS)has been developed[1].In this method,a Y-stent with a central open mesh allows a second stent to be introduced into the contralateral bile duct[1],resulting in a technical success ranging from 80%to 100%[2].

The effects of biochar on soil nutrients status,microbial activity and carbon sequestration potential in two calcareous soils

Biochar as an organic amendment improves soil attributes,with a potentially significant effect on soil chemical fertility and *** main objective of this study was to quantify the effect of biochar addition on nutrients,carbon sequestra-tion and microbial activity and understand the mechanisms of controlling biochar effects in calcareous *** residue biochars produced at 200,400 and 600℃ were added at 5 and 10 g kg^(−1)rates to sandy loam and clayey texture calcareous *** soil properties measured were pH and electrical conductivity(EC),plant-available potassium(K)and available phosphorus(P),total nitrogen(TN),C sequestration;and the fluorescein diacetate(FDA)hydrolysis *** of raw material and biochars increased pH(0.15-0.46 units),EC(0.14-0.38 dS m^(−1)),TN(63-120%),K(12-41%)and FDA activity(27-280%),but tended to decrease plant-available P(23-86%).Increasing pyrolysis temperature increased soil C pool index(CPI),but decreased the FDA and the changes depended largely upon the application rate and soil *** positive effects of biochar addition and its pyrolysis temperature on soil C sequestration potential were more pronounced at high than low application rate and in sandy loam than clayey ***,the effect of biochar addition and pyrolysis temperature on the FDA activity was higher at high than low application rates,but lower in sandy loam than clayey *** biochar application may successfully improve soil processes and attributes and have a high potential for C seques-tration,its effects are controlled by soil texture,pyrolysis temperature and application rate.
