Existence and Global Asymptotic Behavior of Positive Solutions for Sublinear and Superlinear Fractional Boundary Value Problems

In this paper, the authors aim at proving two existence results of fractional differential boundary value problems of the form （Pa,bα）{D^au（x）＋f（x,u（x））=0,x∈（0,1）,u（0）=u（1）=0,D^a-3u（0）=a,u^（1）=-6where 3 ≤ a 〈 4, D^ is the standard Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative and a, b are nonnegative constants. First the authors suppose that f（x, t） = -p（x）t^σ, with cr ~ （-1, 1） and p being a nonnegative continuous function that may be singular at x - 0 or x - 1 and satisfies some conditions related to the Karamata regular variation theory. Combining sharp estimates on some potential functions and the Sch^uder fixed point theorem, the authors prove the existence of a unique positive continuous solution to problem （P0,0）. Global estimates on such a solution are also obtained. To state the second existence result, the authors assume that a, b are nonnegative constants such that a ＋ b 〉 0 and f（x, t） -= tφ（x, t）, with φ（x, t） being a nonnegative continuous function in （0, 1） × [0, ∞） that is required to satisfy some suitable integrability condition. Using estimates on the Green＇s function and a perturbation argument, the authors prove the existence and uniqueness of a positive continuous solution u to problem （Pa,b）, which behaves like the unique solution of the homogeneous problem corresponding the existence results. to （Pa,b）. Some examples are given to illustrate the existence results.,

Existence Results for Systems of Nonlinear Caputo Fractional Differential Equations

We aim, in this work, to demonstrate the existence of minimal and maximal coupled quasi-solutions for nonlinear Caputo fractional differential systems with order q ∈ (1,2). Our approach is based on mixed monotone iterative techniques developed under the concept of lower and upper quasi-solutions. Our results extend those obtained for ordinary differential equations and fractional ones.

Cell surface-expression of the phosphate-binding protein PstS:System development,characterization,and evaluation for phosphorus removal and recovery

Simultaneous overabundance and scarcity of inorganic phosphate(Pi)is a critical issue driving the development of innovative water/wastewater treatment technologies that not only facilitate Pi removal to prevent eutrophication,but also recover Pi for agricultural ***,a cell-surface expressed high-affinity phosphate binding protein(PstS)system was developed,and its Pi capture and release potential was *** was genetically modified to express PstS on its outer membrane using the ice nucleation protein(INP)as an anchoring *** of protein expression and localization were performed utilizing SDS-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(SDS-PAGE),western blot,and outer membrane separation *** surface characterization was investigated through acid-base titration,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR).These tests provided information on the macromolecular structure and composition of the bacteria surface as well as the proton-exchange properties of the surface functional groups(i.e.,pKa values).Phosphate desorption and adsorption batch experiments were conducted to evaluate the effects of temperature,pH,and ionic strength on phosphate capture and *** PstS surface-displayed cells demonstrated greater potential to release and capture phosphate compared to non-modified *** temperatures up to 40℃,basic pH conditions(pH=10.5),and higher ionic strength up to 1.0 mol/L KCl promoted 20%-50%higher phosphate release.

High moisture content wheat kernels are subject to elevated respiration rates due to enzyme activity and mould growth that reduce the dry grain and may produce suffi-cient energy which may be harmful to wheat *** aeration provides a powerful nonchemical stored grain insect ***,aeration is a suitable and economical device to overcome this *** moisture management is vital to prevent spoilage in stored *** objective of this study is to investigate the influence of using low relative humidity(RH)aeration on the wheat moisture *** numerical investigation based on heat and mass balances is developed and used to simulate the evolution of grain temperature and moisture under various air RH in a wheat storage *** show that the dehumidification of blown air had greater potential for decreasing RH of interstitial air and wheat moisture at 30◦C temperature and RH of 40%,50%and 60%.

Population genetic structure of the biological control agent Macrolophus pygmaeus in Mediterranean agroecosystems

Biological control of agricultural pests relies on knowledge of agroecosystem functionality, particularly when affected by the use of mass-produced biological agents. Incorporating pre- and/or post-release information such as genetic diversity and struc- ture on these agents using molecular-based approaches could advance our knowledge of how they perform in agroecosystems. We evaluated the population genetics of Macrolo- phus pygmaeus, the most widely used predatory mirid against many arthropod pests of greenhouse crops in the Mediterranean region, using the mitochondrial Cytb sequence and microsatellite data, and population genetics and phylogeny approaches. We investigated commercially mass-produced insects （i.e., commercial insects either mass-reared in the laboratory for many generations, or purchased by farmers and released in the greenhouses） and ＂wild＂ insects （i.e., that occur naturally outside or are collected in nature for release in the greenhouses）. The mirids were mainly collected in agroecosystems in which solana- ceous plants are grown in northern Spain, southern France and Greece. Both molecular markers and approaches distinguished 2 genetically differentiated populations. The less genetically diverse population, hereafter named the ＂commercial＂ strain included all indi- viduals from laboratory mass-rearings and most releases of commercially bred individuals. The most genetically diverse population mainly comprised individuals originating from noncultivated environments, or from releases of＂wild＂ individuals. Rare examples of hy- bridization between M. pygmaeus from the 2 populations were observed and asymmetric gene flow was revealed. These findings provide new insights into what happens to M. pyg- maeus released in the agroecosystems we studied, and show that it is possible to monitor some commercial strains.

Validation of degree-day models for predict!ng the emergence of two fruit flies (Diptera: lephritidae) in northeast Egypt

We estimated thermal developmental thresholds(7o)and degree-day(DD)constants for the immature stages of two tephritid pests,Bcictrocera zonata(Saunders)and Ceratitis capitata(Weidenmann).Males of both species were trapped in an Egyptian guava orchard during the fruiting seasons of 2016 and 2017 and trap catches were compared with peak flights predicted by the DD model based on local weather *** capitata had faster development than *** at 20 and 25°C,but their overall developmental rate was similar at 30 and 35°*** thermal threshold of development(7o)of *** was higher than that of ***,indicating greater sensitivity to *** 35°C yielded the fastest development of both species,survival was higher at 30°C,with *** experiencing a slight advantage,suggesting better tropical *** development of *** and *** was estimated to require 338 and 373 d,respectively,and 616 and 424 DD for a complete *** catches over both seasons showed good correspondence to peaks of fly activity predicted by the DD models;deviations from expectation ranged from 0 to 7 d for both fly *** species had four overlapping generations per season,with *** abundance peaking in the first generation in both years,but only in 2016 for *** models predict about eight and 12 generations per year in northeast Egypt for *** and ***,*** models should be useful for timing pest control measures to coincide with periods of peak fly activity in fruit orchards.

The Saudi genome project started in 2013 with a great hope to improve medical care and disease *** the genes are those related to nutrition and fitness that can optimize an individual’s *** aim was to review the knowledge and acceptance of nutrition and fitness genetic testing to enhance the quality of life among the population of Saudi *** the study an electronic questionnaire consisting of 27 questions was prepared,and it was answered by 302 *** respondents’demographics showed about 50% of respondents were aged 18-25 years and about 50% of respondents were aged 26-60 *** than 50% of respondents were interested in having a genetic test to enhance their health,while 40% were interested in having a genetic test to enhance their *** than 50% of respondents had an understanding of the effects of coffee,macronutrition and micronutrition,elements,and enzyme *** results represented a contribution to the discussion on the relevance of genetic testing validity and acceptance among the population of Saudi *** results might help in producing specific guidelines on genetic testing and genomic analysis and help in the implementation of fitness and future health plans in cooperation with Saudi genome *** study will focus on population structure and genetic frequency related to specific diets or fitness.

The exploitation of biomass represents a major environmental challenge related to the protection of the environment and the progressive exhaust of fossil *** this perspective,the main objective of this work is the extraction and the characterization of natural lignocellulosic fibers from the Schinus *** cellulose fibre extraction was investigated employing conditions of alkali *** the alkaline steps,a bleaching treatment was done and let to a yield about 45%pure *** identification of the chemical composition of Schinus molle reveals that this raw material contains a high level of biopolymers with a cellulose rate of 53.2%.Extracted cellulose fibers have been characterized by several techniques such as scanning electron microscopy,Fourier transform infrared,X-ray diffraction,Morfi,and by the determination of their degree of ***-IR results confirm the purity of the cellulosic fibers,and XRD analysis reveals that the crystallinity increases after the delignification and bleaching treatments.

This study aims to develop a computational pathology approach that can properly detect and distinguish histology *** is crucial for histopathological image analysis,as it involves segmenting cell ***,challenges exist,such as determining the boundary region of normal and deformed nuclei and identifying small,irregular nuclei *** learning approaches are currently dominant in digital pathology for nucleus recognition and classification,but their complex features limit their practical use in clinical *** existing studies have limited accuracy,significant processing costs,and a lack of resilience and generalizability across diverse *** proposed the densely convolutional Breast U-shaped Network(BU-NET)framework to overcome the mentioned *** study employs BU-NET’s spatial and channel attention methods to enhance segmentation *** inclusion of residual blocks and skip connections in the BU-NEt architecture enhances the process of extracting features and reconstructing the *** enhances the robustness of training and convergence processes by reducing the occurrence of vanishing *** primary objective of BU-NEt is to enhance the model’s capacity to acquire and analyze more intricate features,all the while preserving an efficient working *** BU-NET experiments demonstrate that the framework achieved 88.7%average accuracy,88.8%F1 score for Multi-Organ Nuclei Segmentation Challenge(MoNuSeg),and 91.2%average accuracy,91.8%average F1 for the triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)*** framework also achieved 93.92 Area under the ROC Curve(AUC)for *** results demonstrated that the technology surpasses existing techniques in terms of accuracy and effectiveness in ***,it showcases the ability to withstand and recover from different tissue types and diseases,indicating possible uses in medical *** research evaluated the efficacy of the proposed method
