Adaptive battery thermal management systems in unsteady thermal application contexts

With the increasing attention paid to battery technology,the microscopic reaction mechanism and macroscopic heat transfer process of lithium-ion batteries have been further studied and understood from both academic and industrial ***,as one of the key parameters in the physical fra mework of batteries,affects the performa nce of the multi-physical fields within the battery,a nd its effective control is *** the heat generation in the battery is determined by the real-time operating conditions,the battery temperature is essentially controlled by the real-time heat dissipation conditions provided by the battery thermal management *** battery thermal management systems have basic temperature control capabilities for most conventional application ***,with the current development of la rge-scale,integrated,and intelligent battery technology,the adva ncement of battery thermal management technology will pay more attention to the effective control of battery temperature under sophisticated situations,such as high power and widely varied operating *** this context,this paper presents the latest advances and representative research related to battery thermal management ***,starting from battery thermal profile,the mechanism of battery heat generation is discussed in ***,the static characteristics of the traditional battery thermal management system are ***,considering the dynamic requirements of battery heat dissipation under complex operating conditions,the concept of adaptive battery thermal management system is proposed based on specific research ***,the main challenges for battery thermal management system in practice are identified,and potential future developments to overcome these challenges are presented and discussed.

Tuning the solubility of polysulfides for constructing practical lithium-sulfur battery

li-S batteries are regarded as one of the most promising candidates for next-generation battery systems with high energy density and low ***,the dissolution-precipitation reaction mechanism of the sulfur(S)cathode enhances the kinetics of the redox processes of the insulating sulfu r,which also arouses the notorious shuttle effect,leading to serious loss of S species and corrosion of li *** get a balance between the shuttle restraining and the kinetic property,a combined strategy of electrolyte regulation and cathode modification is proposed via introducing 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl-2,2,3,3-tetrafluoroprpyl ether(HFE)instead of 1,2-dimethoxyethane(DME),and SeS_(7)instead of S_*** introduction of HFE tunes the solvation structure of the liTFSI and the dissolution of intermediate polysulfides with Se doping(liPSSes),and optimize the interface stability of the li anode *** minor Se substitution compensates the decrease in kinetic due to the decreased solubility of *** this way,the li-SeS_(7)batteries deliver a reversible capacity of 1062 and 1037 mAh g^(-1)with 2.0 and 5.5 mg SeS_(7)cm^(-2)loading condition,***,an electrolyte-electrode loading model is established to explain the relationship between the optimal electrolyte and cathode *** makes more sense to guide the electrolyte design for practical li-S batteries.

Numerical investigation of the photo-thermal characteristics of a direct absorption solar collector using Monte Carlo and finite volume methods

In this study, a novel model of photothermal conversion in a direct absorption solar collector based on the Monte Carlo and finite volume methods was built and validated and the temperatures of the novel and traditional solar collectors were compared. The sensitivity of the parameters to the radiative heat loss was investigated. Finally, the radiative heat transfer characteristics were discussed using the radiative exchange factor. The results of this study validated the advantages of the novel solar collector at both the surface and fluid temperatures. Under the conditions used in this study, the maximum temperature difference of the novel solar collector was 30 K, compared with 193 K for the traditional solar collector. Furthermore, the collector was divided into several units along the flow direction. The radiative exchange factor indicated that with an increase in the attenuation coefficient, the percentage of radiation intensity in the total solar radiation absorbed by the corresponding unit ***, it decreased with an increase in the incident angle and scattering albedo. These results provide a reference for addressing the low efficiency and thermal damage caused by traditional solar collectors at high temperatures.

Acupuncture improves the live birth of patients with repeated implantation failure: a retrospective cohort study

OBJECTIVE:To explore the therapeutic efficacy of acupuncture treatment on repeated implantation failure(RIF)patients with cryo-thawed embryo transfer(CET).METHODS:In a retrospective cohort study,all eligible women undergoing RIF were recruited in our center from January 1,2018 to December 31,*** patients were grouped by whether an acceptance of acupuncture treatment before CET,including the acupuncture group(Acu-group,55 cycles)and control group(Con-group,244 cycles).Data were analyzed by using binary logistic regression to explore the relationship of acupuncture treatment with pregnancy ***:The Acu-group had higher live-birth rate(LBR)[54.5%vs 41.0%,respectively;odds ratio(OR)=1.105,95%confidence interval(CI)(1.029,1.187),P=0.006]and ongoing pregnancy rate(OPR)[56.4%vs 43.0%,respectively;OR=1.100,95%CI(1.025,1.181),P=0.008]than the *** were no significant between-group differences in the rates of implantation[OR=1.070,95%CI(0.996,1.149),P=0.064],clinical pregnancy[OR=1.065,95%CI(0.997,1.138),P=0.061],biochemical pregnancy[OR=1.002,95%CI(0.903,1.112),P=0.967],or miscarriage[OR=0.778,95%CI(0.551,1.099),P=0.155].Perinatal outcomes did not differ significantly between the two ***:Acupuncture treatment could improve the LBR and OPR in RIF patients with CET cycles,suggesting a potential adjuvant therapy of acupuncture to improve the pregnancy outcomes in RIF patients.

Models to Simulate Effective Coverage of Fire Station Based on Real-Time Travel Times

In recent years,frequent fire disasters have led to enormous damage in *** firefighting rescues can minimize the losses caused by *** the rescue processes,the travel time of fire trucks can be severely affected by traffic conditions,changing the effective coverage of fire ***,it is still challenging to determine the effective coverage of fire stations considering dynamic traffic *** paper addresses this issue by combining the traveling time calculationmodelwith the effective coverage *** addition,it proposes a new index of total effective coverage area(TECA)based on the time-weighted average of the effective coverage area(ECA)to evaluate the urban fire *** also selects China as the case study to validate the feasibility of the models,a fire station(FS-JX)in ***-JX station and its surrounding 9,117 fire risk points are selected as the fire service supply and demand points,respectively.A total of 196 simulation scenarios throughout a consecutiveweek are ***,1,933,815 sets of valid sample data are *** results showed that the TECA of FS-JX is 3.27 km^(2),which is far below the standard requirement of 7.00 km^(2) due to the traffic *** visualization results showed that three rivers around FS-JX interrupt the continuity of its effective *** proposed method can provide data support to optimize the locations of fire stations by accurately and dynamically determining the effective coverage of fire stations.

A self-centering and stiffness-controlled MEMS accelerometer

This paper presents a high-performance MEMS accelerometer with a DC/AC electrostatic stiffness tuning capability based on double-sided parallel plates(DSPPs).DC and AC electrostatic tuning enable the adjustment of the effective stiffness and the calibration of the geometric offset of the proof mass,respectively.A dynamical model of the proposed accelerometer was developed considering both DC/AC electrostatic tuning and the temperature *** on the dynamical model,a self-centering closed loop is proposed for pulling the reference position of the forceto-rebalance(FTR)to the geometric center of *** self-centering accelerometer operates at the optimal reference position by eliminating the temperature drift of the readout circuit and nulling the net electrostatic tuning *** stiffness closed-loop is also incorporated to prevent the pull-in instability of the tuned low-stiffness accelerometer under a dramatic temperature ***-time adjustments of the reference position and the DC tuning voltage are utilized to compensate for the residue temperature drift of the proposed *** a result,a novel controlling approach composed of a self-centering closed loop,stiffness-closed loop,and temperature drift compensation is achieved for the accelerometer,realizing a temperature drift coefficient(TDC)of approximately 7μg/℃ and an Allan bias instability of less than 1μg.

Identifying malicious traffic under concept drift based on intraclass consistency enhanced variational autoencoder

Accurate identification of malicious traffic is crucial for implementing effective defense countermeasures and has led to extensive research efforts. However, the continuously evolving techniques employed by adversaries have introduced the issues of concept drift, which significantly affects the performance of existing methods. To tackle this challenge, some researchers have focused on improving the separability of malicious traffic representation and designing drift detectors to reduce the number of false ***, these methods often overlook the importance of enhancing the generalization and intraclass consistency in the representation. Additionally, the detectors are not sufficiently sensitive to the variations among different malicious traffic classes, which results in poor performance and limited robustness. In this paper, we propose intraclass consistency enhanced variational autoencoder with Class-Perception detector(ICE-CP) to identify malicious traffic under concept drift. It comprises two key modules during training:intraclass consistency enhanced(ICE) representation learning and Class-Perception(CP) detector construction. In the first module, we employ a variational autoencoder(VAE) in conjunction with Kullback-Leibler(KL)-divergence and cross-entropy loss to model the distribution of each input malicious traffic flow. This approach simultaneously enhances the generalization, interclass consistency, and intraclass differences in the learned representation. Consequently, we obtain a compact representation and a trained classifier for nondrifting malicious traffic. In the second module, we design the CP detector, which generates a centroid and threshold for each malicious traffic class separately based on the learned representation, depicting the boundaries between drifting and non-drifting malicious traffic. Characteristics of Controlled Bridge Circuit and Its Application in Magnetic Field Induction Measurement

The article designs a new type of bridge circuit with a controlled source—when the resistance on the bridge arm of the controlled source bridge circuit meets the bridge balance condition, and the bridge branch contains only one Current-Controlled Current Source (CCCS), a Voltage-Controlled Current Source (VCCS), a Current-Controlled Voltage Source (CCVS), or a Voltage-Controlled Voltage Source (VCVS), the circuit is called a controlled bridge circuit, which has the characteristics of bridge balance. Due to the relationship between the controlled source and the bridge arm, the sensitivity of the components on the bridge is higher mathematically and logically. When applied to measurement, engineering, automatic control, and other fields, the controlled bridge circuit has higher control ac-curacy. Mathematical derivation and simulation results prove the correctness of the bridge balance conclusion and the special properties of this bridge when applied to the measurement field.

GmNF-YC4 delays soybean flowering and maturation by directly repressing GmFT2a and GmFT5a expression

Flowering time and growth period are key agronomic traits which directly affect soybean(Glycine max(L.)Merr.)adaptation to diverse latitudes and farming *** FLOWERING LOCUS T(FT)homologs GmFT2a and GmFT5a integrate multiple flowering regulation pathways and significantly advance flowering and maturity in *** the genes responsible for regulating GmFT2a and GmFT5a will improve our understanding of the molecular mechanisms governing growth period in *** this study,we identified the Nuclear factor Y-C(NFY-C)protein GmNF-YC4 as a novel flowering suppressor in soybean under long-day(LD)***-YC4 delays flowering and maturation by directly repressing the expression of GmFT2a and *** addition,we found that a strong selective sweep event occurred in the chromosomal region harboring the GmNF-YC4 gene during soybean *** GmNF-YC4Hap3 allele was mainly found in wild soybean(Glycine soja Siebold&Zucc.)and has been eliminated from *** landraces and improved cultivars,which predominantly contain the GmNF-YC4Hap1 ***,the Gmnf-yc4 mutants displayed notably accelerated flowering and maturation under LD *** alleles may prove to be valuable genetic resources for enhancing soybean adaptability to higher latitudes.
