Heat Transfer Analysis for Dropwise-filmwise Hybrid Surface of Steam on Vertical Plate

A model is proposed to predict and evaluate the heat transfer characteristics of dropwise-filmwise hybrid *** is approached by modifying the original drop-size distribution,which is defined for fully dropwise condensation(DWC)and making it applicable for dropwise-filmwise condensation(DfC).The modification is achieved by simulation work to determine two parameters:the area fraction occupied by large drops f and the ratio of the maximum radius of newly formed drops to that of larger drops γ.Simulation results show a good agreement with the literature for fully DWC and provide a correlation for each parameter with respect to DWC region width in the DfC hybrid *** present model evaluates the heat transfer performance of DfC by utilizing these correlations.A comparison is made between the proposed model with experimental work from the literature and results show a good *** changing filmwise condensation(fWC)region width significantly affects the overall heat transfer performance,utilizing smaller width to that of DWC region has the advantage over fully ***,surface renewal within the hydrophobic region is controlled by adjusting the DWC region *** the ratio of drop maximum diameter to DWC region width is unity,surface renewal is achieved by drops merging to adjacent fWC regions *** the ratio is less than unity,surface renewal is achieved by sweeping of departing drops within the hydrophobic region and by *** each case,an optimum DWC region width which corresponds to the maximum DfC heat flux is defined.

Optimal fusion‐based localization method for tracking of smartphone user in tall complex buildings

In the event of a fire breaking out or in other complicated situations,a mobile computing solution combining the Internet of Things and wearable devices can actually assist tracking solutions for rescuing and evacuating people in multistory ***,it is crucial to increase the positioning technology's *** sequential Monte Carlo(SMC)approach is used in various applications such as target tracking and intelligent surveillance,which rely on smartphone‐based inertial data ***,the SMC method has intrinsic flaws,such as sample impoverishment and particle degeneracy.A novel SMC approach is presented,which is built on the weighted differential evolution(WDE)*** Monte Carlo approaches start with random particle placements and arrives at the desired distribution with a slower variance reduction,like in a high‐dimensional space,such as a multistory *** differential evolution is included before the resampling procedure to guarantee the appropriate variety of the particle set,prevent the usage of an inadequate number of valid samples,and preserve smartphone user position *** values of the smartphone‐based sensors and BLE‐beacons are set as input to the SMC,which aids in fast approximating the posterior distributions,to speed up the particle congregation process in the proposed SMC‐based WDE ***,the robustness and efficacy of the suggested technique more accurately reflect the actual situation of smartphone *** to simulation findings,the suggested approach provides improved location estimation with reduced localization error and quick *** results confirm that the proposed optimal fusion‐based SMC‐WDE scheme performs 9.92%better in terms of MAPE,15.24%for the case of MAE,and 0.031%when evaluating based on the R2 Score.

Quantum effects on the black hole shadow and deflection angle in the presence of plasma

In this study,the optical properties of a renormalization group improved(RGI)Schwarzschild black hole(BH)are investigated in a plasma *** with the equations of motion in a plasma medium,we aim to present the modifications in the shadow radius of the RGI *** this end,we compute the deflection angle of light in the weak gravity regime for uniform and non-uniform plasma ***,owing to the plasma media,we discover that the equations of motion for light obtained from the radiating and infalling/rest gas have to be ***,in turn,changes and modifies the expression for the intensity observed far away from the ***,we obtain the shadow images for the RGI BH for different plasma *** quantum effects change the background geometry,such effects are minimal,and practically detecting these effects using the current technology based on supermassive BH shadows is *** parameterΩencodes the quantum effects,and in principle,one expects such quantum effects to play significant roles only for very small ***,the effects of plasma media can play an important role in the optical appearance of BHs,as they affect and modify the equations of motion.

We derive the first law of thermodynamics using the method proposed by *** the entropy as Noether charge and comparing with the usual first law of thermodynamics,we obtain explicitly the expression of entropy which contains infinitely many non-local terms(*** integral terms).We have proved,in general,that the first law of black hole thermodynamics is violated for f(R,T)***,there might exist some special cases in which the first law for f(R,T)gravity is recovered.

In recent times,the evolution of blockchain technology has got huge attention from the research community due to its versatile applications and unique security *** IoT has shown wide adoption in various applications including smart cities,healthcare,trade,business,*** these applications,fitness applications have been widely considered for smart fitness *** users of the fitness system are increasing at a high rate thus the gym providers are constantly extending the fitness ***,scheduling such a huge number of requests for fitness exercise is a big ***,the user fitness data is critical thus securing the user fitness data from unauthorized access is also *** overcome these issues,this work proposed a blockchain-based load-balanced task scheduling approach.A thorough analysis has been performed to investigate the applications of IoT in the fitness industry and various scheduling *** proposed scheduling approach aims to schedule the requests of the fitness users in a load-balanced way that maximize the acceptance rate of the users’requests and improve resource *** performance of the proposed task scheduling approach is compared with the state-of-the-art approaches concerning the average resource utilization and task rejection *** obtained results confirm the efficiency of the proposed scheduling *** investigating the performance of the blockchain,various experiments are performed using the Hyperledger Caliper concerning latency,throughput,resource *** Solo approach has shown an improvement of 32%and 26%in throughput as compared to Raft and Solo-Raft approaches *** obtained results assert that the proposed architecture is applicable for resource-constrained IoT applications and is extensible for different IoT applications.

Renewable energy resources are deemed a potential energy production source due to their cost efficiency and harmless reaction to the environment,unlike non-renewable energy ***,they often fail to meet energy requirements in unfavorable weather *** concept of Hybrid renewable energy resources addresses this issue by integrating both renewable and non-renewable energy resources to meet the required energy *** this paper,an intelligent cost optimization algorithm is proposed to maximize the use of renewable energy resources and minimum utilization of non-renewable energy resources to meet the energy requirement for a nanogrid *** actual data set comprising information about the load and demand of utility grids is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed nanogrid energy management *** objective function is formulated to manage the nanogrid operation and implemented using a variant of Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO)named recurrent PSO(rPSO).firstly,rPSO algorithm minimizes the installation cost for ***,the proposed NEMS ensures cost efficiency for the post-installation period by providing a daily operational plan and optimizing renewable ***-of-the-art optimization models,including Genetic Algorithm(GA),bat and different Mathematical Programming Language(AMPL)solvers,are used to evaluate the *** study’s outcomes suggest that the proposed work significantly reduces the use of diesel generators and fosters the use of renewable energy resources and beneficiates the eco-friendly environment.

Observability of parameter space for charged Higgs boson in its bosonic decays in two Higgs doublet model Type-1

This study explores the possibility of discovering H±through its bosonic decays,i.e.,H±→W±φ(whereφ=h or A),within the Type-I two Higgs doublet model(2HDM).The main objective is to demonstrate the available parameter space after applying recent experimental and theoretical exclusion *** suggest that mH±=150 GeV is the most probable mass for the H±→W±φdecay channel in pp collisions at s1/2=8,13,and 14 *** also report on the application of a modern machine learning approach to a multivariate technique for heavy charged Higgs production in association with a single top quark through weak interaction to demonstrate its observability in comparison with the most relevant Standard Model backgrounds using the neural networks of boosted decision Tree(BDT),likelihood(LH),and multilayer perceptron(MLP).

Analysis of b→cτν¯_(τ)anomalies using weak effective Hamiltonian with complex couplings and their impact on various physical observables

Recently,the experimental measurements of the branching ratios and different polarization asymmetries for processes occurring through flavor-changing-charged current(b→cτν¯_(τ))transitions by BABAR,Belle,and LHCb have revealed some significant differences from the corresponding Standard Model(SM)*** has triggered an interest to search for physics beyond the SM in the context of various new physics(NP)models and using the model-independent weak effective Hamiltonian(WEH).Assuming left-handed neutrinos,we add the dimension-six vector,(pseudo-)scalar,and tensor operators with complex Wilson coefficients(WCs)to the SM *** 60%,30%,and 10%constraints resulting from the branching ratio of B_(c)→τν¯_(τ),we reassess the parametric space of these new physics WCs accommodating the current anomalies based on the most recent HfLAV data of R_(τ/μ,e)(D)and R_(τ/μ,e)(D^(*))and Belle data of f_(L)(D^(*))and P_(τ)(D^(*)).We find that the allowed parametric region of left-handed scalar couplings strongly depends on the constraints of the B_(c)→τν¯_(τ)branching ratio,and the maximum pull from the SM predictions results from theficantly if we extend the analysis by adding LHCb data of R_(τ/μ)(J/ψ)and R_(τ/ℓ)(Λ_(c)).furthermore,due to the large uncertainties in the measurements of R_(τ/μ)(J/ψ)and R_(τ/ℓ)(X_(c)),we derive the sum rules which complement them with R_(τ/μ,e)(D)and R_(τ/μ,e)(D^(*)).Using the best-fit points of the new complex WCs along with the latest measurements of R_(τ/μ,e)(D(^(*))),we predict the numerical values of the observable R_(τ/ℓ)(Λ_(c)),R_(τ/μ)(J/ψ),and R_(τ/ℓ)(X_(c))from the sum *** simultaneous dependence of abovementioned physical observables on the NP WCs is established by plotting their correlation with R_(D) and R_(D^(*)),which are useful to discriminate between various NP *** find that the most significant impact of NP results from the WC C^(S)_(L)=4C^(T).fi
