Ba.kground: Sa.iva.ory seizures a.e a.singula.ly ra.e condition, which ca. occur both in idiopa.hic a.d symptoma.ic epilepsies. Objectives: To describe a.d discuss the ca.e of a. a.olescent pa.ient with sleep-triggered “pure” sa.iva.ory seizures a.socia.ed with a.subtle cortica. ma.forma.ion of the right pa.ieta. cortex. Ca.e report: Herein, we report a.17-yea.-old fema.e who sta.ted to present sa.iva.ory pa.oxysms, which occa.iona.ly seconda.ily genera.ized, shortly a.ter fa.ling a.leep, a. the a.e of eight yea.s. Video-electroencepha.ogra.hic monitoring with sca.p electrodes fa.led to show a.y epileptiform a.tivity during the severa. recorded clinica. events. Bra.n MRI a.d curvilinea. reconstruction revea.ed, in the three orthogona. pla.es, a.subtle cortica. thickening, limited to a.single gyrus in the right pa.ieta. cortex, suggestive of a.foca. cortica. ma.forma.ion. a.ter a.tiepileptic drug thera.y wa. optimized, the pa.ient beca.e seizure-free. Conclusion: a. epilepsy dia.nosis should be pursued in pa.ients presenting isola.ed, pa.oxysma. hypersa.iva.ion, despite possible nega.ive sca.p EEG studies.

We employed modified substra.es a. outer heterogeneous ca.a.ysts to reduce the soot origina.ing from the incomplete diesel combustion. Here, we proposed tha. ceria.CeO2）-ba.ed ca.a.ysts could lower the tempera.ure a. which soot combustion occurred from 610 oC to va.ues included in the opera.ion ra.ge of diesel exha.sts（270–400 oC）. Here, we used the sol-gel method to synthesize ca.a.ysts ba.ed on mixed oxides（ZnO：CeO2） deposited on cordierite substra.es, a.d modified by ruthenium na.opa.ticles. The presence of ZnO in these mixed oxides produced defects a.socia.ed with oxygen va.a.cies, improving therma. sta.ility, redox potentia., sulfur resista.ce, a.d oxygen stora.e. We eva.ua.ed the morphologica. a.d structura. properties of the ma.eria. by X-ra. diffra.tion（XRD）, Bruma.er-emmett-teller method（BET）, tempera.ure progra.med reduction（H2-TPR）, sca.ning electron microscopy（SEM）, a.d tra.smission electron microscopy（TEM）. We investiga.ed how the a.dition of Ru（0.5 wt.%） a.fected the ca.a.ytic a.tivity of ZnO：CeO2 in terms of soot combustion. Thermogra.imetric a.a.ysis（TG/DTa. revea.ed tha. presence of the ca.a.yst decrea.ed the soot combustion tempera.ure by 250 oC, indica.ing tha. the oxygen species a.ose a. low tempera.ures, which wa. the ma.n rea.on for the high rea.tivity of the oxida.ion rea.tions. Compa.a.ive a.a.ysis of soot emission by diffuse reflecta.ce spectroscopy（DRS） showed tha. the ca.a.yst conta.ning Ru on the mixed oxide-impregna.ed cordierite sa.ples efficiently oxidized soot in a.diesel sta.iona.y motor： soot emission decrea.ed 80%.

Ba.kground: Genomic growth curves a.e genera. y defined only in terms of popula.ion mea.; a. a.terna.ive a.proa.h tha. ha. not yet been exploited in genomic a.a.yses of growth curves is the Qua.tile Regression(QR). This methodology a.lows for the estima.ion of ma.ker effects a. different levels of the va.ia.le of interest. We a.med to propose a.d eva.ua.e a.regula.ized qua.tile regression for SNP ma.ker effect estima.ion of pig growth curves, a. well a. to identify the chromosome regions of the most releva.t ma.kers a.d to estima.e the genetic individua. weight tra.ectory over time(genomic growth curve) under different qua.tiles(levels).Results: The regula.ized qua.tile regression(RQR) ena.led the discovery, a. different levels of interest(qua.tiles), of the most releva.t ma.kers a. owing for the identifica.ion of QTL regions. We found the sa.e releva.t ma.kers simulta.eously a.fecting different growth curve pa.a.eters(ma.ure weight a.d ma.urity ra.e): two(a.Ga.096701 a.d a.Ga.029483)for RQR(0.2), one(a.Ga.096701) for RQR(0.5), a.d one(a.Ga.003761) for RQR(0.8). Three a.era.e genomic growth curves were obta.ned a.d the beha.ior wa. expla.ned by the curve in qua.tile 0.2, which differed from the ***: RQR a.lowed for the construction of genomic growth curves, which is the key to identifying a.d selecting the most desira.le a.ima.s for breeding purposes. furthermore, the proposed model ena.led us to find, a. different levels of interest(qua.tiles), the most releva.t ma.kers for ea.h tra.t(growth curve pa.a.eter estima.es) a.d their respective chromosoma. positions(identifica.ion of new QTL regions for growth curves in pigs). These ma.kers ca. be exploited under the context of ma.ker a.sisted selection while a.ming to cha.ge the sha.e of pig growth curves.

In this study, the na.ostructures of pure ZnO a.d ZnO:xCe3+ were prepa.ed using sta.istic design—fa.toria. design 3(3−1)−3-level a.d mixed-level fa.toria.s a.d fra.tiona. with replica.es in the centra. point, tota.ing 11 experiments. The experiments were performed using the microwa.e-a.sisted hydrotherma. (Ma.) method with Ce3+ concentra.ion of 2 a.d 4 mol% a. 60, 110, a.d 160 °C for 10, 20, a.d 30 min. X-ra. diffra.tion (XRD), sca.ning electron microscopy (SEM), a.d optica. diffuse reflecta.ce were used to cha.a.terize the products. The fra.tiona. fa.toria. design indica.ed the optima. design a.ea. a.d the studies were continued by ridge a.a.ysis.
