the pulsed laser deposition(PLD)technology was used to effectively create conductive nano and micro hafnium oxide with great purity and transparency for(HfO_(2))*** many optoelectronics devices and their applications,the presence of a high dielectric substance like a nano HfO2,between the metal contacts and the substrates was *** used the Pulsed Laser Deposition method to fabricate an Al/HfO_(2)/p-Si Schottky barrier diode where the nanostructured HfO2 films as an intermediate layer and varied substrate *** optical result reveals a high degree of transparency(93%).the optical bandgap of deposited HfO2 films was observed to vary between 4.9 and 5.3 eV,with a value of roughly 5.3 eV at the optimal preparation *** morphology of the surface shows a high homogeneous nano structure with the average values of the roughness about(0.3 nm).With regard to substrate temperature,the produced factor ideality for fabricated diode was determined to be lowering and the associated values of the barrier height rose based on *** regard to substrate temperature,the produced factor ideality for fabricated diode was determined to be lowering and the associated values of the barrier height rose based on I-V *** diode manufactured at 600℃,in particular,had a higher ideality factor value(n=3.2).

Gallium nitride(GaN)/porous silicon(PSi)film was prepared using a pulsed laser deposition method and 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser for optoelectronic applications and a series of Psi substrates were fabricated using a photoelectrochemical etching method assisted by laser at different etching times for 2.5–15 min at 2.5 min intervals.X-ray diffraction,room-temperature photoluminescence,atomic force microscopy and field emission scanning electron microscopy images,and electrical characteristics in the prepared GaN on the Psi film were *** optimum Psi substrate was obtained under the following conditions:10 min,10 mA/cm^(2),and 24%hydrofluoric *** substrate exhibited two highly cubic crystalline structures at(200)and(400)orientations and yellow visible band photoluminescence,and homogeneous pores formed over the entire *** pores had steep oval shapes and were accompanied by small dark pores that appeared topographically and *** GaN/Psi film fabricated through PLD exhibited a high and hexagonal crystallographic texture in the(002)*** properties results revealed that the photoluminescence emission of the deposited nano-GaN films was in the ultraviolet band(374 nm)related to GaN material and in the near-infrared band(730 nm)related to the Psi *** topographical and morphological results of the GaN films confirmed that the deposited film contained spherical grains with an average diameter of 51.8 nm and surface roughness of 4.8 *** GaN/Psi surface showed a cauliflower-like morphology,and the built-in voltage decreased from 3.4 to 2.7 eV after *** fabricated GaN/Psi film exhibited good electrical characteristics.

Plants produce secondary chemicals that may vary along with latitude due to changing abiotic and biotic stress gradients and local environmental *** apart the individual and combined effects of these different abiotic,such as soil nutrients,and biotic factors,such as soil biota and herbivores,on secondary chemicals is critical for understanding plant responses to changing *** conducted an experiment at different latitudes in China,using tallow tree(triadica sebifera)seedlings sourced from a population at 31°*** seedlings were cultivated in gardens located at low,middle and high latitudes,with either local soil or soil from the original seed collection site(origin soil).the seedlings were exposed to natural levels of aboveground herbivores or had them *** secondary chemicals(both foliar and root),aboveground herbivores and soil characteristics were *** showed that most leaf and root secondary metabolites depended on the interaction of the experimental site and soil *** and root phenolic and tannin concentrations were higher at the middle latitude site,especially in the origin *** and foliar flavonoid concentrations increased when aboveground herbivores were *** communities depended strongly on soil *** different responses of tannins versus flavonoids suggest that these two chemical classes differ in their responses to the varying abiotic and biotic factors in these sites along *** together,our results emphasize the importance of considering the interactive effects of local environmental conditions,soil properties and herbivory in regulating plant chemical defenses.

Background Dairy cows experiencing ketosis after calving suffer greater disease incidence and are at greater risk of leaving the herd. In vitro administration of beta-hydroxybutyric acid(BHBA;the primary blood ketone) has inhibitory effects on the function of bovine leukocytes. BHBA is a ligand of HCAR2 and the activation of these receptors promotes an anti-inflammatory response which may be related with immunosuppression observed in transition dairy cattle. the objective of this study was to identify and test antagonists for HCAR2 in bovine immune cells cultured with *** We observed expression of HCAR2 at the protein level within lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes. the proportion of cells expressing HCAR2 tended to be greater in mid-lactation compared to early lactation cows;the increase was a result of increased proportion of t and B cells expressing HCAR2. Stimulation of HCAR2 with niacin or BHBA promoted Ca^(2+) mobilization in neutrophils and mononuclear cells. Mononuclear cells treated with BHBA had diminished intracellular Ca^(2+) responses when HCAR2 was knocked down by si RNA silencing, indicating Ca^(2+) mobilization was mediated by HCAR2 signaling. two candidate antagonists for HCAR2, synthesized from niacin(NA-1 and NA-5), were tested;monocytes and neutrophils pre-treated with NA-1 and NA-5 had reduced Ca^(2+) mobilization after incubation with BHBA. Furthermore, NA-5 but not NA-1 prevented BHBA-associated reductions in cyclic *** We demonstrated that HCAR2 is present on bovine leukocytes and has greater expression later in lactation. We confirmed that BHBA and niacin derived HCAR2 antagonists alter bovine leukocyte activity. the majority of men with advanced prostate cancer develop bone metastases as opposed to metastases at other sites. It has been unclear why prostate cancer selectively metastasizes to and proliferates in bone. Recently, Shiozawa et al. delineated a mechanism that may account for the establishment of prostate cancer in bone. Specifically, they identified that prostate cancer cells compete with hematopoietic stem cells （HSC） for the osteoblast in the HSC niche of the bone. Defining the mechanisms through which prostate cancer cells establish themselves in bone is critical towards developing effective therapeutic strategies to prevent or target bone metastases.

this paper presents a novel and efficient control scheme for unified power quality conditioner （UPQC） based on three-level neutral point clamped （NPC） inverter using fuzzy logic techniques. the proposed UPQC is capable of mitigating source current harmonics and compensate all voltage disturbances such as voltage sags, swells, unbalances and harmonics. It is designed by the integration of series and shunt active filters （AFs） sharing a common DC bus capacitor. the DC voltage is maintained constant using proportional integral voltage controller. the synchronous reference frame （SRF） theory is used to get the reference signals for shunt active power filters （APFs） and the power reactive theory （p-q theory） for series APFs. the shunt and series APF reference signals derived from the control algorithm and sensed signals are injected in two controllers to generate switching signals. to improve the UPQC capability, fuzzy logic techniques are introduced to control the series APF. the performances of the proposed UPQC system are evaluated in terms of power factor correction, mitigation of voltage or current harmonics and all other voltage disturbances compensation using Matlab-Simulink software and SimPowerSystem toolbox. the simulation results illustrate the performance of the proposed UPQC at the common connection point of the nonlinear load to improve the power energy quality.

the paper presents a robust parallel distributed compensation （PDC） fuzzy controller for a nonlinear and certain system in continuous time described by the tal^gi-Sugeno （t-S） fuzzy model. this controller is based on a new type of time-varying fuzzy sets （tVFS）. these fuzzy sets are characterized by displacement of the kernels to the right or left of the universe of discourse, and they are directed by a well-defined criterion. In this work, we only focused on the movement of midpoint of the universe. the movements of this midpoint are optimized by particle swarm optimization （PSO） approach.
