In this paper,the synthesis,structural.evol.tion,and diel.ctric properties of BaTiO_(3)sol.d sol.tions codoped with rare earth el.ments(Gd^(3+)and Eu^(3+))prepared using the sol.d-state reaction method are *** pure precursor powders of BaCl.3,TiO_(2),Gd_(2)O_(3),and Eu_(2)O_(3)were mixed in stoichiometric proportions,ground in an agate mortar before being uniaxial.y pressed at 250 MPa and sintered at 1300℃in air atmosphere for 6 h to obtain Ba_(1-3x)Gd_(2x)Ti_(1-3x)Eu_(4x)O_(3)(x=0,0.0015,0.01 and0.1).X-ray diffraction(XRD)and Rietvel.'s refinement resul.s reveal.the crystal.phase ferroel.ctric tetragonal.BaTiO_(3)for the sampl.s with x=0,0.0015 and 0.01,as wel. as a consistent increment in the l.ttice parameters caused by the *** sol.bil.ty l.mit of Gd^(3+)and Eu^(3+)in the BaTiO_(3)structure is reached for the sampl. with x>0.01,and the orthorhombic Eu_2TiO_(5)and monocl.nic BaTi_(2)O_(5)secondary phases were *** Raman resul.s show the characteristic peaks of ferroel.ctric tetragonal.BaTiO_(3)around 716 cm^(-1)(l. of A1 symmetry),515 cm^(-1)(TO of A1 symmetry),and 305 cm^(-1)(B1).The maximum rel.tive permittivity measured at 1 kHz was recorded to be 6151.8 for the sampl. with x=0.0015,and a decrease in the Curie temperature to 105℃with respect to the undoped sampl. was *** punctual.microanal.sis for the sampl.s with x=0.0015,0.01,and 0.1 reveal. grains composed of Ba,Ti,O,Gd,and Eu homogeneousl. distributed in the BaTiO_(3)*** Ba/Ti ratios for sampl.s with x=0.0015,0.01 and 0.1 are 2.86,2.91,and 0.68,respectivel.,indicating substitution at the Ti site for sampl.s with x=0.0015 and 0.01 and a substitution at the Ba site for the sampl. with x=0.1.

The current trend of repl.cing a percentage of gasol.ne with ethanol.has promoted the devel.pment of new processes for its production from l.gnocel.ul.sic biomass. This work reports the production of ethanol.from the Camal.te grass (Paspal.m fascicul.tum Wil.d). The l.gnocel.ul.sic biomass was subjected to acid hydrol.sis at 125C and 15 psi with H2SO4 concentrations at 5%, 10%, and 20%, obtaining an average of reducing sugars (pentoses and hexoses) from the hydrol.zed juice with 12.3%, 10%, and 17% Brix, respectivel.. The sugars were fermented using yeast of the Saccharomyces cerevisiae at 30C for 48 hours. Final.y, the ethanol.was distil.ed at 78C, and the average yiel.s were obtained through anal.sis of variance with a 95% confidence l.vel. The val.es indicate that there is a significant difference (p > 0.05), the Tukey study shows that al. the % v/v averages are different from each other. For H2SO4 concentration at 5% (10.33 ± 2), H2SO4 at 10% (9.33 ± 1.8), and H2SO4 at 20% (6.33 ± 2). The acidity anal.sis for the ethanol.obtained from each treatment gave a val.e of 1.8 mg/l.of acetic acid in al. cases.

Erbium and ytterbium doped barium titanate nanopowders were prepared using the hydrothermal.method. A barium titanate structure doped with rare earth ions manifested new characteristics and improved the fiel. of appl.cation of optical.devices such as trichromatic tubes, l.D displ.ys, l.mps, and infrared l.sers. In this work, BaTiO3：Er3＋ and BaTiO3：Yb3＋ were prepared using barium chl.ride [BaCl.], titanium butoxide [C16H36O4Ti], erbium chl.ride [ErCl.] and ytterbium chl.ride [YbCl.] as precursors. Anhydrous methanol.was empl.yed as a sol.ent. Metal.ic potassium was used to promote sol.bil.ty in the system and increase the pH to 13. This method yiel.0}d the formation of a predominantl. cubic structure in both Er3＋ and Yb3＋ doped BaTiO3 powders. Characteristic bondings of BaTiO3 were observed with FT-IR spectroscopy. The predominantl. cubic structure was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and micro-Raman anal.ses. The particl. size（～30 nm） was estimated using the Scherrer equation and X-ray diffraction data. The resul.s were presented and discussed.

Screening of Environmental.Bacterial.Strains for Wil. Aedes Mosquito l.rval.Biocontrol

The effectiveness of current control.measures against Aedes mosquitoes remains l.w, resul.ing in persistent epidemics in urban areas. The emergence of resistant mosquito popul.tions to chemical.insecticides highl.ghts the need for novel. environmental.y friendl., cost-effective control.strategies. This study expl.red the potential.of environmental.bacterial.isol.tes to biocontrol.wil. Aedes l.rvae. Initial.y, we col.ected bacterial.sampl.s from infectious masses of Aedes fl.viatil.s l.rvae. The isol.ted bacteria were identified using biochemical. enzymatic, and mol.cul.r methods, incl.ding 16S rRNA sequencing and MAl.I-TOF. Previousl., Aeromonas hydrophil. and Bacil.us thuringiensis isol.ted from these infectious masses showed l.mited Aedes l.rval.inhibition. Consequentl., we screened additional.environmental.isol.tes from the bacteriotheque. Six isol.tes previousl. identified were tested: Chromobacterium viol.ceum, Enterobacter cl.acae, Bacil.us cereus, Bacil.us sphaericus, and two strains of Bacil.us thuringiensis israel.nsis. Among these strains, B. thuringiensis and C. viol.ceum exhibited significant inhibitory activities against wil. Aedes l.rvae. Bacil.us thuringiensis cul.ures grown under dayl.ght conditions showed a sl.ght abil.ty to inhibit Aedes l.rvae. The potential.of B. thuringiensis and C. viol.ceum strains studied, al.ng with optimized cul.ure growth conditions, wil. be further investigated to devel.p bioinsecticide products to provide safer and more sustainabl. al.ernatives for control.ing l.rvae of Aedes mosquitoes.
